Flemish Brabant (, US also ; Dutch: Vlaams-Brabant [ˌvlaːmz ˈbraːbɑnt] (listen); French: Brabant flamand [bʁabɑ̃ flamɑ̃] (listen)) is a province of Flanders, one of the three regions of Belgium. It borders on (clockwise from the North) the Belgian provinces of Antwerp, Limburg, Liège, Walloon Brabant, Hainaut and East Flanders. Flemish Brabant also surrounds the Brussels-Capital Region. Its capital is Leuven. It has an area of 2,118 km2 (818 sq mi) which is divided into two administrative districts (arrondissementen in Dutch) containing 65 municipalities. As of January 2019, Flemish Brabant has a population of 1,146,175.Flemish Brabant was created in 1995 by the splitting of the former province of Brabant into three parts: two new provinces, Flemish Brabant and Walloon Brabant; and the Brussels-Capital Region, which no longer belongs to any province. The split was made to accommodate the eventual division of Belgium in three regions (Flanders, Wallonia and the Brussels-Capital Region). The province is made up of two arrondissements. The Halle-Vilvoorde Arrondissement has Brussels in its middle and is therefore mainly a residential area, even though it also has large industrial zones and contains Belgium's main airport. The other arrondissement is the Leuven Arrondissement, centered on Leuven. The province's products include Belgian beers. The official language in Flemish Brabant is Dutch (as it is in the whole of Flanders), but a few municipalities are to a certain extent allowed to use French to communicate with their citizens; these are called the municipalities with language facilities. Other such special municipalities can be found along the border between Flanders and Wallonia, and between Wallonia and the German-speaking area of Belgium. Halle-Vilvoorde mostly surrounds Brussels, which is officially bilingual but whose inhabitants mostly speak French.

Everberg is a town in the Belgian province Flemish Brabant and is part of the municipality of Kortenberg. The territory covers an area of 925 ha. The neighbouring towns or municipalities are Leefdaal, Kortenberg, Erps-Kwerps, Meerbeek, Sterrebeek, Moorsel and Tervuren. A small hamlet, called Vrebos, can also be found in Everberg.

Kortenberg (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkɔrtə(m)bɛr(ə)x]; French: Cortenbergh) is a Belgian municipality located in the province of Flemish Brabant, about halfway between the cities of Brussels and Leuven. The municipality comprises the subdivisions or deelgemeenten of Erps-Kwerps, Everberg, Kortenberg proper and Meerbeek. On 1 January 2013 Kortenberg had a total population of 19,393. The total area is 34.52 km2 which gives a population density of about 562 inhabitants per km2. In the southern part of Everberg there is also a hamlet called Vrebos, while between Erps-Kwerps and Meerbeek there is another hamlet called Schoonaarde, which can be found in the proximity of the train station of Erps-Kwerps.

Meerbeek is a village in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant and is the part of the municipality of Kortenberg, along with Everberg, Erps-Kwerps and Kortenberg. The village borders the villages of Veltem-Beisem (Herent), Bertem, Erps-Kwerps and Everberg. The area comprises 515 ha.

Sabena Flight 548 was a Boeing 707-329 flight operated by Sabena that crashed en route from New York City to Brussels, Belgium on February 15, 1961. The flight, which had originated at Idlewild International Airport, crashed on approach to Brussels Airport killing all 72 people on board and one person on the ground. The fatalities included the entire United States figure skating team, who were traveling to the World Figure Skating Championships in Prague, Czechoslovakia. The precise cause of the crash remains unknown; the most likely explanation was thought to be a failure of the mechanism that adjusts the tail stabilizer.This was the first fatal accident involving a Boeing 707 in regular passenger service; it happened 28 months after the 707 airliner was placed into commercial use. It remains the deadliest plane crash to occur on Belgian soil.

The Brabant Center for Music Tradiations (Dutch: Brabants Centrum voor Muziektradities) is a museum and folk music center in Kampenhout in Flemish Brabant, Belgium.The center maintains a study and documentation center with around one thousand publications on traditional folk music in Flanders and the rest of Europe. During the year several changing thematic expositions are shown, next to the permanent musical instrument collection of violin and bagpipes player Hubert Boone, a collection of photographs of musicians and musical instruments and some music recordings.The collection of Boone plays an important role in the center. As a scientific contributor he was affiliated to the Musical Instrument Museum of Brussels. He produced a variety of works on local music history and folk musical instruments. He was a key member of the folk dance group De Vlier and the ensemble Limbrant.The center was inaugurated in the Glass Hall (Glazen Zaal) on 4 December 2011, in attendance of prominent Flemish music administrators and the mayor of Kampenhout. On this day an exhibition started on the society of the hummel instrument from the town Sint-Martens-Lennik, and live music was played by the MandolinMan Quartet.

Steenokkerzeel (Dutch pronunciation: [ˌsteːnˈɔkərzeːl]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Melsbroek, Perk and Steenokkerzeel proper. On December 31, 2010 Steenokkerzeel had a total population of 11,580. The total area is 23.46 km² which gives a population density of 493 inhabitants per km². (Steenokkerzeel: 6.333 inhabitants, Melbroek 2.508 inhabitants, Perk 2.739 inhabitants.) Steenokkerzeel consists of the townships of Humelgem, Steenokkerzeel and Wambeek. Perk consists of the townships Perk, Huinhoven and Boekt. 't Dickt, Passiewijk and Zonnebos are the names of residential areas in Steenokkerzeel.

Kampenhout (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkɑmpə(n)ɦʌu̯t]) is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the towns of Berg, Buken, Kampenhout proper and Nederokkerzeel. On 1 January 2006 Kampenhout had a total population of 10,956. The total area is 33.49 km² which gives a population density of 327 inhabitants per km². Honorary citizenship has been bestowed upon Jules Penninckx, Armand Preud'homme, cyclist Raymond Impanis, singer Will Tura, athlete Kim Gevaert and Stef Maginelle. Sabena Flight 548 crashed near Berg on 15 February 1961, killing all on board, as well as one person on the ground.The Brabant Center for Music Traditions was established in Kampenhout, it shows a collection of traditional folk music and changing expositions.

Moorsel is a village in Flemish Brabant, Flanders, Belgium. Moorsel is a part of the municipality of Tervuren, alongside the villages of Duisburg, Tervuren and Vossem. It is located 14 km from Brussels and 14 km from Leuven.

Sterrebeek is a town in the municipality (gemeente) of Zaventem, and a suburb on the east-northeast side of Brussels. Brussels American School (the United States Department of Defense school) is located in Sterrebeek. The official language is Dutch (as everywhere in Flanders).
