Villa Urquiza

Juan Manuel de Rosas - Villa Urquiza is a terminus station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. It is placed beneath Avenida Triunvirato, between Avenida Monroe and Avenida Franklin D. Roosevelt, in the Villa Urquiza barrio, and is an important transfer center with General Urquiza station in the Ferrocarril General Bartolomé Mitre. It is named after Juan Manuel de Rosas, a politician, army officer and caudillo who ruled the Argentine Confederation almost uninterruptedly from 1829 until 1852. The station opened for use on July 26, 2013 as part of the extension of the line from Los Incas - Parque Chas. It had previously been planned to open in 2011. It also connects with General Urquiza station on the Mitre Line commuter rail service.

Villa Pueyrredón is a neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. It is located between the neighborhoods of Villa Urquiza, Villa Devoto, and Agronomía. It is a middle class residential neighborhood with streets in draught-board, and surrounded by many squares and parks. The General Mitre Railway links Villa Pueyrredon with Retiro railway station in Buenos Aires CBD.

Avenida General Paz (official name Ruta Nacional A001 - National Route A001) is a beltway freeway surrounding the city of Buenos Aires. Roughly following the boundary between the city and Buenos Aires Province, it is one of the few motorways in Argentina that is toll-free. It carries three lanes of traffic in each direction during most of its length, and five lanes between the Pan-American Highway and the Río de la Plata. There are feeder roads in both directions and there are service areas along its length, usually with a gas station and fast food restaurants. The route was the first highway in Argentina, built between 1937 and 1941 with a cost of m$n 24 million, and officially inaugurated on July 5, 1941.

Echeverría is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. It was first opened on July 26, 2013 as part of the extension of the line from Los Incas - Parque Chas to Juan Manuel de Rosas.

Parque Chas is a neighborhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, reinstated on 6 December 2005 through By-law No. 1907/06. Parque Chas is the smallest district in Buenos Aires and is bounded by La Pampa, Triunvirato, Combatientes de Malvinas, Chorroarín, and Constituyentes streets. It is also the only district not organized following a grid pattern. Three streets (Victorica, Avalos and Gándara) meet in the center of the neighborhood forming a six-points intersection. A concentric pattern of streets, named after European cities, surrounds this center. The pattern breaks when drawing closer to the major avenues (La Pampa, Triunvirato, and Avenida de Los Incas), where the grid pattern resumes. There are two small parks within the barrio. Parque Chas plays a prominent role in Tomas Eloy Martinez' book The Tango Singer.

Estadio Alfredo Ramos is a football stadium in Agronomía, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the home ground of Comunicaciones. The stadium holds 3,500 people and was opened on 29 September 1962. Its name is a heartfelt tribute to Alfredo Ramos, who was president of the Club for 14 years.

Los Incas - Parque Chas is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 9 August 2003 as the western terminus of the extension of the line from Federico Lacroze. It remained the terminus of the line until the opening of Juan Manuel de Rosas station on 26 July 2013.It is located between the Villa Ortuzar and Parque Chas barrios, at the intersection of Avenida Triunvirato and Avenida de Los Incas.

Coghlan is a barrio (neighbourhood), of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is the name of a middle class neighbourhood located between Belgrano, Saavedra, Núñez and Villa Urquiza; it was originally inhabited by Irish and English immigrants. The 1887 sale of 30 hectares (75 acres) of land to the Mitre Railway led to the railway's extension under the direction of Irish Argentine engineer John Coghlan, in whose honor the train station was named. The sale of residential lots after 1891 led to the rapid growth of what was then a suburb of Buenos Aires and, in 1896, Dr. Ignacio Pirovano opened an emergency hospital, today among the city's public medical facilities. Coghlan was formally designated as a barrio (borough) in 1968 and is today still a quiet bedroom community known for its big, English style residences.

Saavedra is a barrio or neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located in the Northern end of the city, close to Nuñez and Villa Urquiza. Its northern border is Avenida General Paz. Among the main features of the neighbourhood is the Parque Saavedra (English: Saavedra Park), which has large picnic areas and sports facilities. Many inhabitants of Buenos Aires pass through Saavedra en route to their weekends in the country. The neighbourhood's most famous son is tango singer Roberto Goyeneche. Also, it was the cradle of Platense football club. The main characters of Adolfo Bioy Casares's novel El Sueño de los Héroes (English: Dream of Heroes) live in Saavedra. The interchange between the Pan-American Highway and Avenida General Paz is at Saavedra's northern end. Points south were the site of extensive demolition during the late 1970s tenure of military-appointed Mayor Osvaldo Cacciatore, who planned a network of new expressways including one through Saavedra, one of the city's most residential barrios. Never built, the demolished stretch was converted into Avenida Roberto Goyeneche. Saavedra is also home to an important Philips manufacturing facility, as well as the Dot Baires Shopping Center, the city's largest.
