High Woods

Little Common Football Club is a football club based in the Little Common area of Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, England. They are currently members of the Southern Combination Premier Division and play at the Little Common Recreation Ground.

Beeches Farm is a farm and country house in the unparished area of Bexhill, Rother in East Sussex, England. A Grade II listed building, it dates to at least the 18th century, and is a two-storey building with stuccoed brickwork on the ground floor, and a hipped tiled roof.

Ninfield is a village and civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex, England. The village is quite linear and centred 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Bexhill-on-Sea where two roads cross: the A269 from Bexhill to Battle and the A271 to Hailsham. The parish covers 2,500 acres (1,010 ha); approximately the northern half of which is in the High Weald AONB. To the west of the village is Standard Hill, said to be the place that William the Conqueror placed his flag (2 lions of Normandy standard) before the Battle of Hastings. As with many other Wealden villages, it was involved in the iron industry: that fact is commemorated by the presence in the village of a set of iron stocks. Smuggling was also rife in the eighteenth century. The village name is said to come from the fact that it was originally composed of nine and three quarter fields. A legal record, of 1452, mentioning a Sussex village as "Nempnefeld", may refer to Ninfield.

Bexhill High Academy (formerly Bexhill High School) is a coeducational secondary school with academy status, located in Bexhill-on-Sea in the English county of East Sussex.Bexhill High converted to academy status in November 2012. It had been a community school administered by East Sussex County Council. The school continues to coordinate with East Sussex County Council for admissions. As an academy, the school was previously part of the Prospects Academies Trust. However, in May 2014 the trust folded. Bexhill High Academy is now part of the Attwood Academies trust.Along with Bexhill College the school operates Bexhill FM, a Restricted Service Licence FM frequency station which broadcasts for a few weeks a year to the Bexhill area.

Gillham Wood is a 3-hectare (7.4-acre) nature reserve west of Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex. It is managed by the Sussex Wildlife Trust.The wood is mainly oak with an understorey of hazel, birch and holly. An old bomb crater is now a pond which provides water for a variety of wildlife. Part of the site is closed to the public so as to provide a sanctuary for foxes and other wildlife. Fungi include parasitic bolete, and seventy-four species of birds have been recorded on the site.

Hooe Common is a village in the Wealden district of East Sussex.

H.M. Prison Northeye was a prison located at Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, England which was in operation from 1969 to 1992. The prison was formerly the site of a Royal Air Force Mobile Radio Unit which housed reserve equipment for the Chain Home radar station at Pevensey. It subsequently became a radar station itself, but was decommissioned in 1964. It was subsequently opened as a Category C training prison in January 1969.

Cooden Beach serves Cooden at the western end of Bexhill in East Sussex. It is on the East Coastway Line, and train services are provided by Southern.

Hooe is both a small village and a civil parish in the Wealden District of East Sussex; the village being located about two miles (3 km) north-west of Bexhill, and north of the A259 coast road, on the B2095 road from Ninfield. The parish name takes account of local usage, and the location of the parish church; in fact the main population centre is to the north, and is called Hooe Common.

Collington railway station serves Collington, at the western end of Bexhill in East Sussex. It is on the East Coastway Line, and train services are provided by Southern. The station has had several name changes: it was opened as Collington Wood Halt on 11 September 1905; closed a year later, it reopened as West Bexhill Halt, and then became Collington Halt in 1929; the Halt was dropped in 1969. The station has two platforms linked by a footbridge. There are ticket machines on both platforms which have recently replaced the Permit to Travel machines. There are also train information displays on both sides of the station, as well as an information box with an automated announcer providing departure announcements. The station's sponsorship has recently been acquired by Hastings Direct who now advertise below the station's nameplate.

Bexhill West is a closed station in Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex. It was the terminus of the Bexhill West branch of the Hastings Line. It was opened by the South Eastern and Chatham Railway and was operated by the Southern Region of British Railways on closing. The station building still survives as an antiques house. The trackbed and site of the now demolished platforms are now occupied by commercial industrial buildings.

Sidley is a village on the outskirts of Bexhill-on-Sea in East Sussex, England. Its governance falls within the jurisdiction of the Charter Trustees town of Bexhill. It is also a ward of Rother district council. It is home to 2 primary schools.
