Coleg Cambria in North East Wales is one of the UK's largest colleges, with over 7000 full-time and 20,000 part-time students, and has international links covering four continents. Coleg Cambria was created following the merger of Deeside College and Yale College, Wrexham. Coleg Cambria began operating on 1 August 2013. Coleg Cambria is a young adult community for people aged 16 years and older. It serves three local authority areas with a total population of almost 400,000: more than 12% of the population of Wales. The college works in partnership with over 1000 employers including Airbus, JCB, Kelloggs, Kronospan, Moneypenny, UPM Shotton Paper and Village Bakery.Coleg Cambria won the 2015 Global Enterprise Challenge.In November 2015, the college was inspected by Estyn and rated excellent in both current performance and prospects for improvement.

Deeside College (Welsh: Coleg Glannau Dyfrdwy) (now part of Coleg Cambria) is located in Connah's Quay, Flintshire, North Wales. It was formerly a further education college in August 2013 to create the college for North East Wales.Coleg Cambria consists of six campuses including Deeside, Yale Grove Park, Yale Bersham Road, Llysfasi, Northop and Wrexham Training. The encompassed college offers a wide range of courses from Further Education to HNC's and Foundation Degrees for full and part-time students, apprentices and part-time community learners.

Deeside Stadium (Welsh: Stadiwm Glannau Dyfrdwy) is a multi-sport stadium located in Connah's Quay, Deeside. It was the home stadium to Welsh Premier League side Connah's Quay Nomads until the 23/24 season and is the home of the Deeside Athletics Club.

Connah's Quay High School (CQHS, Welsh: Ysgol Uwchradd Cei Connah) is an 11–16 mixed, English-medium, community comprehensive secondary school in Connah's Quay, Flintshire, Wales. A £2.3 million science, English and music wing was completed in October 2002, after a two-year project also involving extensions and redevelopment of the existing buildings. When Prince Andrew, Duke of York visited the school to declare the new block officially open, the opening ceremony was interrupted by a fire alarm caused by a hot tea urn. Connahs Quay High School underwent further modernisation in 2018, with the demolition and complete rebuild of the old food and design wing.

Top-y-Fron Hall is a country house in the community of Connah's Quay, Wales. In 1977 it became a Grade II* listed building.

The Flintshire Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge spanning the Dee Estuary in North Wales. The bridge links Flint and Connah's Quay to the shore north of the River Dee at the southern end of the Wirral Peninsula. The bridge cost £55 million to construct. This cost was met by the then Welsh Office and in the future, maintenance costs are expected to be the responsibility of the local authority Flintshire County Council. The bridge was officially opened in 1998 by Queen Elizabeth II. It carries part of the A548 road and has been nicknamed 'the bridge to nowhere' as it doesn't link up with the A55 Expressway. It is the largest asymmetric cable-stayed bridge in Britain.

St Mark's Church, Connah's Quay is in the town of Connah's Quay, Flintshire, Wales. It is an active Anglican church in the mission area of Borderlands, the archdeaconry of Wrexham and the diocese of St Asaph. The church is the parish church for Connah's Quay and the mother church of St David's Church, Connah's Quay. It is designated as a Grade II listed building by Cadw. The new Vicar, Rev'd Alexier Mayes, was licensed in April 2018.

Deeside Power Station is a power station on the Deeside Industrial Park to the north of Connah's Quay in Flintshire, Wales. Constructed as a 498 MWe combined-cycle gas plant, it is now used to provide inertial response and reactive power services to the grid. It is a mile from the 1,420 MW Connah's Quay Power Station, owned by Uniper. The power stations are separated by the Flintshire Bridge.

Connah's Quay (Welsh: Cei Connah), known locally as "The Quay" and formerly known as Wepre, is a town and community in Flintshire, on the River Dee and next to the border with England. With a population of 16,771, it is the largest town in Flintshire. The town is also part of the wider Deeside conurbation and is contiguous with Shotton, Flint and Buckley. It is located 6 miles (9.7 km) west of Chester and 19 miles (31 km) south of Liverpool also close to the Wirral. Just south of the River Dee and town is the Deeside Industrial Park. Additionally, Tata has a steelworks on the town's border on the north bank of the River Dee. Wepre Woods, an ancient woodland in the town, is controlled by Flintshire County Council's Ranger Service and includes Ewloe Castle which dates from the 13th century.

Oakenholt is a village in Flintshire, Wales. It is situated to the south east of the town of Flint, near the A548 road. At the 2001 Census, the population of the Flint Oakenholt Ward was 2920.In 2017 a major archaeological excavation began in the village to find evidence of any settlement during the Roman occupation of Britain.
