The Kampong is open by advance reservation to visitors Tuesday through Friday and is a 9-acre botanical garden in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida, United States. It is one of the five gardens of the non-profit National Tropical Botanical Garden (NTBG). An admission fee is charged.

The Vanguard School of Coconut Grove is an accredited private day school in Coconut Grove, Florida. It focuses on children with learning disabilities and other learning issues that have average or above average IQs. Vanguard was licensed in 1961 from the original Vanguard School in Pennsylvania. It was established in 1968 and then separated and reorganized from the original school in 1983.

Amy Billig (January 9, 1957 – disappeared March 5, 1974) was an American high school student who disappeared while hitchhiking to her father's art studio in Coconut Grove, Florida, on March 5, 1974 at the age of 17.Investigators believe Amy's disappearance was involuntary and although no definitive leads as to the exact circumstances surrounding her disappearance have ever materialized, unconfirmed leads indicate she may have been abducted by a motorcycle gang (most likely The Pagans) and subsequently drugged, gang raped and murdered.Amy's parents continued to search for their daughter for the remainder of their lives; her mother, Susan, died in 2005 at the age of 80, having continually searched for her daughter for over 31 years. Prior to her death, Susan asked Amy's brother, Joshua, to "never give up" the search for his sister.Despite the intense publicity surrounding Amy's disappearance and repeated efforts to locate her alive or deceased, her disappearance remains unsolved. Her case remains open, and has been described as one of Florida's most enduring missing persons cases.

Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic college preparatory day school for girls, founded in 1961 in Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida.

El Jardin is a house located at 3747 Main Highway in Miami, Florida. It is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. El Jardin is now home to Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart in Miami, Florida. It was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places on August 30, 1974. Built in 1918 along a ridge of oolitic limestone, El Jardin expresses the broad training of its architect, Richard Kiehnel of Kiehnel and Elliott, and the experience of its owner, John Bindley, then president of Pittsburgh Steel. Kiehnel, in a September 1928 article for Tropical Home and Garden, referred to the house as a “progenitor of the Modern Mediterranean style home.” Kiehnel relocated to Miami from Pittsburgh and became the architect for many landmark buildings, including the Coral Gables Congregational Church, Miami Senior High, and the Coral Gables Elementary School.

The Plymouth Congregational Church is a historic church located at 3429 Devon Road corner of Main Highway in the Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida. The land was donated by George Spalding and George E. Merrick. The architect was Clinton MacKenzie. The Edifice Religious was founded in the 1897, and completed in the 1917, the church was built by a single man, Felix Rebom, using only a hatchet, a trowel, a plumb line, and a T-square. Its architecture was modeled after the old Spanish missions of Mexico. On April 18, 2012, the AIA's Florida Chapter placed Plymouth Congregational Church on its list of Florida Architecture: 100 Years. 100 Places. On July 23, 1974, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Circa 1941, the WPA-sponsored American Guide Series book about Miami and environs described the church: "PLYMOUTH CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, at Ingraham Hwy. and Devon Rd. is a reproduction of a Mexican mission. The interior of the vine-covered stone building is constructed on the lines of a basilica and the doors are said to have come from a Spanish mission in Mexico. In one of the doors is a round cat-hole, now covered with screen. Many outdoor weddings have been performed at the pulpit in the walled garden."

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas House is a historic house at 3744 Stewart Avenue in Miami, Florida. Built in 1926, it was the lifelong home of environmentalist Marjory Stoneman Douglas (1890-1998), who was nationally known for her efforts to preserve the Everglades of southern Florida. The house was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2015.

The First Coconut Grove Schoolhouse is a historic school located in Coconut Grove, Florida. The school originally resided at 2916 Grand Avenue in Miami. The structure was built in 1887 by Coconut Grove pioneer Charles Peacock. Peacock reportedly constructed the house using wood gathered from ships wrecked in nearby Key Biscayne. The building originally served as a community gathering place, with Sunday School as its main purpose.In 1889, the one-room schoolhouse became the very first public school for area children. The building's owner, Charles Peacock, was paid rent in the amount of $12.00 for the first seven-month school year. Ten children from the Frow, Pent, and Peacock pioneer families, were its first attendees.The first meetings of the Miami-Dade County School Board can be traced back to this period, with the First Coconut Grove Schoolhouse located in School District Number Three. The first teacher hired by the Miami-Dade County School Board to instruct pioneer children of Coconut Grove, Flora McFarlane, was contracted in November 1889.The schoolhouse also retains historical significance since the first meetings of the Woman's Club of Coconut Grove were held on site. In February 1891, Flora McFarlane and Coconut Grove pioneers Isabella Peacock, Euphemia Frow, Mary Munroe, and Louisa Newbold held began their work of organizing numerous social, civic, and educational projects.In 1902, Charles Peacock sold the First Coconut Grove Schoolhouse for $400.00. The property remained in possession of the new owner until it was sold again in 1944. The building was then purchased by Ryder Systems, refurbished, and relocated to the Plymouth Congregational Church property in 1970. The schoolhouse remains on church property at 3429 Devon Road, Miami, Florida, 33133.On January 21, 1975, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Ransom Everglades School is an independent, non-profit, co-educational, college-preparatory day school serving grades six to twelve in Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida. It formed with the merger in 1974 of the Everglades School for Girls and the Ransom School for Boys. It's described as a college preparatory school and 100% of Ransom Everglades' students attend a four-year institution after graduation.Admission to the school is selective and tuition costs $49,250 per year (2023-24). Tuition includes lunch and most fees except for books. A significant, need-based financial aid program is available. Graduating classes each year range between 150 and 160 students. All students matriculate to four year universities; typically, more than 85% of graduating students continue on to out-of-state colleges and universities. The Ransom Everglades School "Pagoda" is a historic school building in Coconut Grove in Miami, Florida. It is located at 3575 Main Highway. On July 25, 1973, it was added to the U.S. National Register of Historic Places as the Ransom School "Pagoda". The Pagoda was built in 1902 as the principal structure for a school first known as Pine Knot Camp by the Buffalo, New York architects Green and Wicks. It has been described as looking "about as Chinese as a hamburger". Later the name of the school was changed to the Adirondack-Florida School and then Ransom School and finally, Ransom Everglades after merging with "The Everglades School for Girls" in 1974.Classes are occasionally taught in the Pagoda, although it now consists of mostly offices. Meetings and other events are also regularly held in the Pagoda.

Charlotte Jane Memorial Park Cemetery formerly known as Coconut Grove Bahamian Cemetery, is a historic cemetery in Miami, Florida where many Bahamian settlers were buried.
