Holy Apostles Episcopal Church, is an historic Carpenter Gothic church building now located at 505 Grant Avenue in Satellite Beach, Florida in the United States. It was built in 1902 some 100 kilometers to the south in Fort Pierce to serve St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, which it did until March 25, 1959, when St. Andrew's moved into a much larger structure and gave its old building, less its organ and stained glass windows, to the old Episcopal Diocese of South Florida to be used as a mission church. The diocese gave it to Holy Apostles, which had been formed in 1957 and had been holding services in a synagogue, and it was barged up the Indian River on July 14, 1959 to Satellite Beach, where it became the first church building in that two-year-old city just south of Patrick Space Force Base.

Indian Harbour Beach is a coastal city in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Palm Bay–Melbourne–Titusville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 9,019 at the 2020 census. It is 3 miles (4.8 km) north of the town of Indialantic and south of Satellite Beach. It is the first and only community in the United States to be a NOAA Tsunami Ready community along the nation's East Coast.

Mathers Bridge is a 700-foot-long (210 m) low-level swing bridge located on the southern tip of Merritt Island, Florida, crossing the Banana River at the end of County Road 3.

The Eau Gallie Yacht Club is a U.S. boating organization, located in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida with access to the Indian River. The original clubhouse is also a historic building. The club has 1,200 members.

The Merritt Island Dragon or Merrit Island River Dragon was a dragon-shaped green concrete structure that stood at the southern tip of Merritt Island, Florida, known as Dragon Point, where the Indian River Lagoon splits to form the Banana River Lagoon. The dragon was built in 1971 by Florida artist Lewis VanDercar and property owner Aynn Christal. In 1981, the statue was expanded for new property owner Warren McFadden, with the addition of a tail, an extended neck, two cavepeople a caveman named Fred and a cavewoman named Wilma and four hatchling dragons named Joy, Sunshine, Charity, and Freedom. The statues were located between the cities of Melbourne and Indian Harbour Beach, Florida, north of the Eau Gallie Causeway. The dragon was created from 20 short tons (18 t) of concrete and steel, and stood 35 feet (11 m) high and 65 feet (20 m) long. Known as "Annie", the dragon served as a landmark for both locals and boaters, and also as a playhouse for children. On special occasions, the dragon would breathe fire. The idea for the sculpture was inspired by the American Indian legend which held that seeing a dragon rising from the mist where the Banana and Indian Rivers met was a sign of good fortune.In August 2002, the sculpture was badly damaged, and partially collapsed into the water during a storm; vandalism was blamed for contributing to the statue's destruction.

South Beaches is an unofficial area in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It includes cities, towns and unincorporated area on the barrier island south of Patrick Space Force Base. The cities and towns include: South Patrick Shores, Satellite Beach, Indian Harbour Beach, Indialantic and Melbourne Beach, and the city of Melbourne. The government has historically labeled the actual beach areas differently. These names appear to be at variance with those in popular use. The "Mid Reach" includes the 7.6 miles (12.2 km) in Satellite Beach. The "South Reach" includes the 3.8 miles (6.1 km) in Indialantic and Melbourne Beach. The "South Beaches" only includes 14.5 miles (23.3 km) south of Melbourne Beach to Sebastian.

Lotus is a former village in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is the location of Honeymoon Hill, the highest point on Merritt Island. Only one road runs through the area, CR 3, accessible to the south by Pineda Causeway and from the north via Florida State Road 520. Lotus is a wealthy residential area in Brevard County, with homes overlooking both the Indian River and Banana River Lagoons. Lotus along with Tropic, south of the Pineda Causeway lost their identity as individual villages during the beginning of the Space Age in the 1960s as the entire area fell under single family residential zoning only as part of the larger Merritt Island.

Patrick Space Force Base (IATA: COF, ICAO: KCOF, FAA LID: COF) is a United States Space Force installation located between Satellite Beach and Cocoa Beach, in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is named in honor of Major General Mason Patrick, USAAC. It is home to Space Launch Delta 45 (SLD 45), known as the 45th Space Wing (45 SW) when it was part of the Air Force. In addition to its "host wing" responsibilities at Patrick SFB, the 45 SW controls and operates Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) and the Eastern Range. It was originally opened and operated from 1940 to 1947 as Naval Air Station Banana River, a U.S. Navy airfield. It was then deactivated as a naval installation in 1947 and placed in caretaker status until it was transferred to the Air Force in late 1948. Additional tenant activities at Patrick SFB include the 920th Rescue Wing, the Air Force Technical Applications Center, and the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute (DEOMI). Total employment is 10,400. There are 13,099 military, dependents, civilian employees, and contractors on base.The base is a census-designated place (CDP) and had a resident population of 1,222 at the 2010 census.The base also administers the Malabar Annex in Palm Bay. The facility was due to be renamed Patrick Space Force Base in February or March 2020, but this was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The facility was finally renamed by Vice President Mike Pence on 9 December 2020.
