Five Nations Golf Club is located in the village of Méan, near Marche-en-Famenne, Belgium. Its name was chosen because of its central position close to Germany, Luxembourg, France, The Netherlands and Belgium. The 18-hole, par 72 course was designed by Gary Player. The "front nine" is a promenade in the forest while the "back nine" looks like a links. Many holes are surrounded by water hazards and by thick roughs that make the course somewhat difficult for the visitor. In addition to the driving range, it has a 3-hole practice course composed of two par-3 and one par-4.

Noiseux (French pronunciation: [nwazø]; Walloon: Nwezeu) is a village of Wallonia and a district of the municipality of Somme-Leuze, located in the province of Namur, Belgium. Near Noiseux flows the Ourthe river for a short distance through the province of Namur.

Vervoz is a hamlet of Wallonia in the municipality of Clavier, district of Ocquier, located in the province of Liège, Belgium. It is close to the borders of the three provinces of Liège, Namur and Luxembourg and lies near the village of Ocquier. The hamlet is on the ancient Roman road Tongres-Arlon. It is registered on the list of exceptional heritage of Wallonia.

The Church of Saint Remaclus is a Romanesque church in Ocquier, a district of the municipality of Clavier in Belgium. It is dedicated to Saint Remaclus. Built on the same site as at least two preceding churches, the current church dates from the middle of the 12th century. The church is a typical example of a kind of Romanesque country church which can be found in Belgium.

Famenne (French: [famɛn]; Walloon: Fåmene [fɑːmɛn]) is a natural region in Wallonia (southern Belgium). Together with The Fagne or la Fagne, west of the river Meuse, it is part of the Fagne-Famenne natural region. The two regions are often grouped together because they are quite similar both geographically and naturally.

Clavier (French pronunciation: [klavje] ; Walloon: Clavir) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Liège, Belgium. On January 1, 2006, Clavier had a total population of 4,172. The total area is 79.12 km² which gives a population density of approximately 53 inhabitants per km². The municipality consists of the following districts: Bois-et-Borsu, Clavier, Les Avins, Ocquier, Pailhe, and Terwagne. The Castel du Val d'Or is an inn with 15 rooms located within Clavier. It dates back to 1654.

St. Peter's Church, Melreux (French: Église Saint-Pierre de Melreux) is a Roman Catholic church on the Avenue de la Gare in Melreux in the municipality of Hotton, Belgium. The present church, whose tower is flanked by four turrets, dates from 1671, although the 12th-century Romanesque baptismal font and medieval tombstones attest to the existence of an earlier building. The interior furnishings include some beautiful paintings, including one of Mount Golgotha attributed to the artist Riga, and an altar in the Louis XIII style. The church was completely destroyed during the Battle of the Bulge (winter of 1944–45) by the mortars of the German forces, who were fighting the oncoming Americans. Most of the interior was saved. The church was rebuilt after the war and since 1989 has had the status of a protected monument.

Hotton (French pronunciation: [ɔtɔ̃]; Walloon: Houton) is a municipality of Wallonia located in the province of Luxembourg, Belgium. The municipality lies 12 kilometers from Marche-en-Famenne in the Ardennes and has more than 5,400 inhabitants. The river Ourthe crosses Hotton. The municipality consists of the following districts: Hampteau, Hotton, Marenne and Fronville. There are also several hamlets: Bourdon, Deulin, Ménil-Favay, Monville, Monteuville, Melreux, Ny and Werpin. The municipality lies in the Arrondissement of Marche-en-Famenne. In the west it borders the province of Namur.

Riveo is an environmental interpretive centre of the river Ourthe situated in Hotton, Belgium, since April 2007.

Hotton War Cemetery is a Commonwealth War Graves Commission burial ground near Hotton in Belgium. Most of the British troops who died in the battle for the Ardennes are buried here.

The Battle of Les Avins took place on 20 May 1635, outside the town of Les Avins, near Huy in modern Belgium, then part of the Bishopric of Liège. It was the first major engagement of the 1635 to 1659 Franco-Spanish War, a connected conflict of the Thirty Years' War. Prior to 1635, France had provided financial and diplomatic support for the Dutch Republic in its war of independence from Spain, but avoided direct involvement. In February 1635, the two countries agreed to divide the Spanish Netherlands, and following a formal declaration of war, a French army of 27,000 entered Liège in May. Intending to link up with the Dutch at Maastricht and attack Leuven, they ran into a Spanish force of around 16,000 outside Les Avins. The French made a series of frontal assaults and eventually over-ran their positions, forcing the Spanish to retreat.
