St. Mark's Church (Danish: Sankt Markus Kirke) is a church located in St. Mark's Parish in Aarhus, Denmark. The church is located in the Midtbyen neighbourhood. It is a parish church within the Church of Denmark servicing a parish population of 8.873 (2015). The church was designed by the Danish architect Thomas Havning who won a public contest for a new church design in 1933. The parish of the Church of Our Lady was reaching a population of 10.000 and it had been decided to split it and create a new parish, requiring a new church. Construction began in 1934 and was completed in October, 1935. The church is dedicated to Mark the Evangelist. In 1982 a new wing, Klostergården, was added to the church with an office and recreational facilities for youth preparing for confirmation. In 1998 the church was extensively renovated.

Aarhus Methodist Church (Danish: Aarhus Metodistkirke), also known as Betlehemskirken, is a church in Aarhus, Denmark. The church is situated in Øgadekvarteret in the Vesterbro neighbourhood on the corner of Thunøgade and Hjarnøgade. Aarhus Methodist Church is a part of the United Methodist Church in Denmark and has served the Methodist congregation in Aarhus since its construction in 1912. Before the church was built, the congregation used a smaller church situated in an apartment in the alley of Posthussmøgen.

Hald's House (Danish: Halds Gård) is a 4-winged house and a listed building in Aarhus, Denmark. The house was built in 1870 and was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 7 October 1970. The house is situated in the central Indre by neighborhood on Vesterport.

Aarhus Fire Station (Danish: Aarhus Brandstation) is a fire station in Aarhus, Denmark from 1904 situated on Ny Munkegade 15. The station is still in use (2016) and is the oldest fire station in Aarhus. In the end of the 1800s the Aarhus Fire Department consisted mostly of small pumping stations but the explosive population growth of the previous decades meant the city needed a modern fire station. The initiative and organization behind the new fire station was mainly fire and building inspector Eduard Ludvig Frederik Springborg. Springborg early on advocated for a new fire station and asked the City Council to make the areaBispetoften available.The city council committee for City Expansion and Construction (Udvalget for Byens Udvidelse og Bebyggelse) couldn't accept the placement on Bispetoften - the area by the Aarhus Concert Hall and the City Hall Par. Instead the committee made an area by Ny Munkegade and Thunøgade available, an area already used by the Fire Department for training. The building was constructed by plans of the architect Sophus Frederik Kühnel who also designed Elise Smiths Skole next to it.

The Aarhus Air Raid took place on 31 October 1944, when 25 Mosquitoes from 140 Wing Royal Air Force (RAF) of the 2nd Tactical Air Force, bombed the Gestapo headquarters at the University of Aarhus, Denmark . After the Second World War, the RAF called the mission the most successful of its kind during the war.

The listing includes 6 buildings on Vestergade in Aarhus, in the Indre by neighborhood, The buildings were constructed around 1761 and were listed by the Danish Heritage Agency in 1950. The buildings were originally a merchant's mansion used for trade and storage but in the 1960s it became a cultural focal point in Aarhus as Musikernes Hus (The Musicians' House).

Vestergade (lit: Westward-street) is a street in Aarhus, Denmark, which runs east to west from the central square of Store Torv to the city park of Åparken at Carl Blochs Gade, intersecting the main streets of Grønnegade and Vester Allé along its course. Vestergade begins in the Indre By neighborhood and ends in neighborhood of Vesterbro, close to CeresByen. Vestergade has some of the best preserved 18th-century merchant estates in Aarhus and a history of creativity and artistic expression. Vestergade was the original road leading to Viborg in the old Viking Age settlement. The buildings along Vestergade were the first outside the western defensive ramparts and formed the first civilian settlement. Originally, the street ended at Grønnegade but has since been lengthened as the city grew around it. Vestergade represents most periods in the history of Aarhus.

Langelandsgade Kaserne is a former military barracks in Aarhus, Denmark. It was used by the military from 1889 to 1993, when Aarhus University took ownership. After a restoration, it is now the headquarters of the Aarhus University department School of Communication and Culture (Aarhus Universitet, Institut for Kommunikation og Kultur).

The Danish Poster Museum Danish: Det Danske Plakatmuseum in Aarhus, Denmark is a museum dedicated to the history of poster art. The museum is situated in the open air museum The Old Town in the Town Center neighbourhood in central Aarhus.The museum originates from a collection by the Danish painter Peder Stougaard who began collecting posters in 1972. Initially the collection was primarily Danish but it has been expanded with poster art from across the world through outreach to embassies and museums.The Poster Museum was founded in 1993 and Stougaards collection was donated to the museum where it remains central to the exhibit and overall collection. In 2006 the museum moved into buildings in the Old Town museum. The entrance to the museum is a pavilion from the Danish National Exhibition of 1909 but the interior is a modern complex in two stories, designed by the architects firm C.F. Møller. In September 2012 Elsebeth Aasted Schanz was appointed to the position of museum director.The collection spans some 400,000 posters with a wide foundation, covering all types of posters from commercial advertising to wall art, both national and international. The exhibition hall shows a collection of classical Danish posters from the 19th and 20th centuries with 6-8 annual exhibits focused on a specific topic such as the Second World War, the Cold War and the hippie movement.

Aarhus Art Academy (Danish: Århus Kunstakademi) is an art school in Aarhus, Denmark. The school resides in a listed building on Vestergade 29 in the old medieval inner city, comprised by the neighborhood of Indre By. The building was listed on the Danish registry of protected buildings and places by the Danish Heritage Agency on 3 December 1924. The school offers a 4-year arts programme and a number of courses in sculpting, painting, design, ceramics, photo and webdesign.
