Blakstad Station

Blakstad or Blakstad-Osedalen is a village which is also the administrative centre of the municipality of Froland in Agder county, Norway. It is located along the river Nidelva, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the town of Arendal (where many residents of Blakstad work and shop). The small village of Froland lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the north, on the west side of the river, and that is where Froland Church is located.Originally, Blakstad was the village on the eastern shore of the river and the village of Osedalen was located on the western side of the river. Over the years, the two villages grew together and now form one large village. The 2.6-square-kilometre (640-acre) village has a population (2019) of 3,241 and a population density of 1,244 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,220/sq mi).The Arendalsbanen railway line, a branch of the Sørlandsbanen railway line stops at the Blakstad Station. The Norwegian County Road 42 and Norwegian County Road 408 also run through the village.

Libru is a village in Agder county, Norway. The village is located on the border of the municipalities of Arendal and Froland. The village lies at the southern end of the lake Assævannet, about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) southeast of Blakstad in Froland and about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) from the town of Arendal. The village of Rise lies along the Arendalsbanen railway line, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the southwest of Libru.

Rossedalen Station (Norwegian: Rossedalen holdeplass) is a former railway station at Rossedalen in Arendal, Norway. Located on the Arendal Line, it was operated by the Norwegian State Railways. The station was opened on 1 May 1911 and originally consisted of a small station building. The station has never been staffed and has never had a spur or passing loop.

Rise Station (Norwegian: Rise stasjon) is a railway station at Rise in Arendal, Norway. Located on the Arendal Line, it is served by the Go-Ahead Norge. The station opened as the terminus of the Grimstad Line in 1907; the following year it became a transfer station to the Arendal Line. It then received a station building designed by Paul Armin Due. In 1935 and 1936, the lines were converted from narrow gauge to standard gauge, although for a year the station served as a break-of-gauge station. The Grimstad Line closed in 1961 and in 1983 the station was unmanned.

Rise is a village in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located on the eastern short of the river Nidelva, along the Arendalsbanen railway line. The Norwegian County Road 408 runs through the village. The village of Libru lies about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the northeast and the village of Løddesøl lies about 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) to the south.

Arendal Airport, Gullknapp (Norwegian: Arendal lufthavn, Gullknapp; ICAO: ENGK) is a general aviation airport situated at Blakstadheia in Froland, Norway. It consists of a single 1,199-meter (3,650 ft) asphalt runway aligned 05/23. The airport is located about 15 kilometers (9.3 mi) from the town center of Arendal. Plans for an airport in Aust-Agder were first proposed in the 1930s at Løddesøl. The airport operating company was founded in 1984 and construction on the original 500-meter (1,600 ft) runway commenced in 1987 and was completed in 1992. It was paved in 1996, when an operating permission was granted. The runway was extended to 1,120 meters (3650 ft) in 2006 and in 2008 a majority of the shares were bought by Arendals Fossekompani. This spurred work on further expansions in order to compete with Kristiansand Airport, Kjevik. Concession for scheduled services was issued in 2014.

Bråstad Station (Norwegian: Bråstad stoppested) is a railway station at Bråstad in Arendal, Norway. Located on the Arendal Line it is served by Go-Ahead Norge. The station was opened as part of Arendal–Åmli Line on 23 November 1908 and originally consisted of a station building designed by Paul Armin Due, a guard house and a loading spur. The station was called Braastad until 1921 and remained staffed until 1928. Since the 1980s, the station has consisted of a shed and platform.

Løddesøl is a village in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the Norwegian County Road 408 on the eastern shore of the river Nidelva. The village lies about 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) south of the village of Rise, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the village of Nævesdal, about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) north of the village of Lindtveit, and about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of the town of Arendal. The village has an elementary school and preschool as well as a sawmill and some small stores.

Stoa is an industrial village and a buisnes area in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the European route E18 highway and along the Arendalsbanen railway line. It sits about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) west of the centre of the town of Arendal. The villages of Bjorbekk and Vrengen lie a short distance to the south.

Bjorbekk Church (Norwegian: Bjorbekk kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Arendal Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Bjorbekk. It is one of the churches for the Øyestad parish which is part of the Arendal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1884 using plans drawn up by the architect Johan Christoff Friedrich Reuter (1829-1909). The church seats about 650 people.

Gjennestad or Ginnestad is a village in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located a short distance north of the river Nidelva, just off Norwegian County Road 407. The village of Rykene sits about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the southwest of Gjennestad.

Bjorbekk is a village in Arendal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located between the Norwegian County Road 407 and the European route E18 highway. The village of Vrengen lies just east of Bjorbekk and the village of Asdal lies just to the south. Bjorbekk Church is located in the village.
