The America Street School was an historic school at 22 America Street in Providence, Rhode Island. The school was a two-story brick structure, built in 1905 to a design by Frederick E. Field. It housed ten classrooms (five on each floor), and was one of four similarly sized schools built by the city between 1887 and 1916. The building served the city as a school until 1955, and was used for a time thereafter as a meeting place for a local branch of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987. It was listed as one of the "Ten Most Endangered Properties" by the Providence Preservation Society in 1995, and was demolished in 1996.

The Nicholson File Company was a major producer of machine-made files, started by William Nicholson in 1859. The company manufactured precision tools used in the manufacture of armaments during the American Civil War for the Union Army, and closed the plant in 1959. It has been used by a variety of light industrial concerns since then.The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

The Old Canteen is an Italian restaurant in Federal Hill, Providence, Rhode Island opened by Joe Marzilli in 1956. They were Rhode Island’s oldest family owned restaurant and noted for their famous guests, particularly Mayor Buddy Cianci (when he died in 2016, they left his regular table empty in his honor) who has brought Frank Sinatra with him to dine.Raymond L. S. Patriarca, boss of the Patriarca crime family, was a regular that held “top-level meetings” there according to his FBI files.Patriarca would use the apartment above the restaurant to host card games “when there was something private going on.”In 2022, owner and head chef Sal Marzilli wanted to retire and was putting the restaurant up for sale after more than 65 years.

The Corporation of the Church of the Holy Ghost is located in the heart of Federal Hill, Providence, Rhode Island's "Little Italy". The church was established on September 22, 1889 by the Missionaries of Saint Charles Borromeo to serve the spiritual needs of the new Italian immigrants at the turn of the 19th century. Father Luigi Paroli, CS obtained permission by Bishop Matthew Harkins of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Providence and was installed as the first pastor of the parish. Initially, the community of Italian worshipers were hosted in the basement of the Cathedral of Saints Peter and Paul (Providence, Rhode Island) before moving to Ivy Hall on Swiss Street in Providence. In 1901 the congregation grew too large for its current dwelling and a number of lots were purchased on the corner of Knight Street and Atwells Avenue at the west end of Federal Hill. A one level structure what today is the present church's basement served as the main place of worship for devotees until the triforium, edifice and campanile were constructed eight years later. On Pentecost Sunday, May 26, 1901 Blessed Giovanni Battista Scalabrini visited the parish on the feast day of its patron the Holy Ghost. On that day the founder of the Missionaries of St. Charles Borromeo celebrated multiple Masses and Confirmed nearly 1,200 Catholics that day.

The Sister Dominica Manor, originally known as Bradford House, is a high-rise building located in the Federal Hill district of Providence, Rhode Island. Standing at 175 feet (53 meters), it is currently the 15th-tallest building in the city. The Sister Domininca Manor has 16 floors, and was completed in 1966. The Sister Dominica Manor was constructed as the tallest of three low-income elderly housing projects built by Rhode Island Housing and the city of Providence in the 1960s. It was the tallest all-residential building in Providence until late 2007, when the Waterplace Towers were completed.
