Kodak Tower is a 19-story skyscraper in the High Falls District of Rochester, New York, and is part of the Eastman Kodak Headquarters complex. It has a roof height of 340 ft (103.6 m) and stands 366 ft (111.6 m) with its antenna spire included. It was Rochester's tallest building for over 50 years from its completion in 1914 until the Xerox Square Tower surpassed it in the late 1960s. Today, it is the 4th tallest building in Rochester and is the 9th tallest building in New York state outside New York City. The Kodak Tower has long been recognized as a landmark in the Rochester skyline, and an icon in the world of film photography. The building has also been called the "nerve center of photography".The Eastman Kodak Company owns the skyscraper, and it remains the company's headquarters. In 2008, Kodak undertook work to repair and restore the exterior of the building.

Brick Presbyterian Church Complex, now known as Downtown United Presbyterian Church, is a historic Presbyterian church complex located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The complex includes the Brick Church and Church School (1860, rebuilt 1903), attached Brick Church Institute building (1909–1910), and Taylor Chapel (1941). The Brick Church and Church School was designed in 1860 as an Early Romanesque Revival–style edifice by Rochester architect Andrew Jackson Warner (1833–1910). His son, J. Foster Warner (1859–1937), modified the church structure to the Lombard Romanesque form in 1903.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Washington Street Rowhouses are a pair of historic rowhouses located in Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The two-story, three-bay, brick row houses were built about 1840 in the Greek Revival style. They have pitched roofs, interior end chimneys, applied wooden cornices, and side by side entrances that adjoin the party wall.They were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Bridge Square Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district contains 24 contributing buildings that consist primarily of two-, three-, and four-story brick masonry commercial and industrial buildings. Structures date from 1826 to 1928, the oldest being the U.S. Hotel (1826), that served as the location of the founding of the University of Rochester and Colgate Divinity School.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

Teoronto Block Historic District is a national historic district located in the Frankfort neighborhood of Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district consists of 10 contributing buildings originally built beginning in 1844, with later additions and modifications. It is reflective of Rochester's early commercial and industrial development as an Erie Canal-oriented boom town. It includes a block long group of three story, brick commercial buildings, known as the Teoronto-Smith Block. They consist of nine five bay buildings with a continuous gable roof. Also in the district is a set of attached commercial / industrial buildings.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Main & Oak is a former Rochester Industrial and Rapid Transit Railway station located in Rochester, New York. The line was near a connection to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad and the Oak Street Loop. It was closed in 1956 along with the rest of the line.The Broad Street Tunnel Project rehabilitated some sections and the subway tunnel where this station had been located, between Main Street and Brown Street, was filled in. The new west portal to the tunnel is just west of this station along Broad Street.

Brown's Race Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district contains 15 contributing buildings, 2 contributing structures, and 14 contributing sites. All of the principal buildings are used for commercial purposes and are sited along or near the curving south rim of the Genesee River gorge at the rim of the High Falls. The district comprises a collection of 19th-century industrial buildings built of brick and stone, and ranging in size from one- to six-stories. Also in the district is the mill race and the 19th century iron Pont De Rennes bridge, which is used today as a pedestrian bridge and viewing platform of the High Falls and surrounding gorge.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

State Street Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The district consists of the last surviving continuous row of 19th-century masonry commercial buildings within Rochester's Inner Loop. They were developed between 1825 and 1900 and the row forms an unpretentious unbroken wall of 12 buildings. The oldest building is located at 141-147 State Street and was constructed about 1825.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Hochstein School (formerly Hochstein School of Music & Dance) is an all ages school of music and dance in Rochester, New York The school was founded in 1920.

Nick Tahou Hots is a restaurant in Rochester, New York, best known for a dish called the Garbage Plate. The restaurant was founded in 1918 by Alex Tahou, the grandfather of the 21st-century owner (also named Alex Tahou), and named for Nick Tahou, the founder's son, who operated the establishment until his death in 1997. While there are other Upstate New York variants, Nick Tahou's is the originator of the trademarked Garbage Plate.

Established in 2002, the CGI Rochester International Jazz Festival Presented by M&T Bank takes place in June of each year, in Rochester, New York. It is owned and produced by RIJF, LLC, whose principals are John Nugent, Co-Producer and Artistic Director, and Marc Iacona, Co-Producer and Executive Director. The nine-day festival is held at 20+ diverse venues throughout downtown Rochester New York's East End cultural and entertainment district, including Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre, Kilbourn Hall at the Eastman School of Music, Hatch Recital Hall, Lutheran Church of the Reformation, Rochester Regional Health Big Tent, Max of Eastman Place, Montage Music Hall, The Auditorium at Broad and Chestnut, Wilder Room, The Little Theatre, Bethel Christian Fellowship, and multiple outdoor free stages and venues - all within walking distance and many on "Jazz Street" (otherwise known as Gibbs Street during the rest of the year), which is closed off for the festival's nine days. More than 90 free concerts and events are presented on outdoor stages and other free venues. A five-day Jazz Workshop provides an opportunity for elementary and high school music students to learn from and play alongside noted musicians performing at the festival. The festival supports the RIJF Eastman School of Music Jazz Scholarship, which has awarded almost $500,000 in scholarships since 2002 to 40 students to attend the Eastman School of Music. In 2008, attendance was estimated at a record 125,000 for the nearly 250 concerts presented.In 2010, 162,000 people attended the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival's 250 concerts presented over nine days, breaking the record set the prior year of 133,000.2011 saw another record-setting year with 285 concerts presented over nine days and in 18 different venues. Attendance reached an all-time high of 182,000.In 2012, the 11th Edition hit another attendance record of 187,000, a record number of headliner sell-outs, the addition of new venue, Hatch Recital Hall and 9 days of spectacular weather. Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Steve Martin & The Steep Canyon Rangers, Esperanza Spalding, Zappa Plays Zappa, and Daryl Hall "Live From Daryl's House" with special guest Keb' Mo' headlined this year. In 2018, the festival drew a record-setting crowd of more than 208,000 people from around the world to see more than 1500 musicians from 20 countries performed in 320+ shows. In 2019, the festival also drew more than 208,000 to see 1750+ musicians from around the world perform in 325+ shows. CGI Communications became the festival's new title sponsor as of July 2018, succeeding Xerox, which was the title sponsor for 10 years from 2009 through 2018. M&T Bank is the presenting sponsor.

Rochester City Hall is a historic government building in Rochester in Monroe County, New York. Also known as the Federal Building and Old Post Office, the building was originally built for use by the federal government. It is a four-story, Richardsonian Romanesque style structure with an inner court and tower. It was built between 1885 and 1889 of heavy brown sandstone with a metal skeleton. It was expanded in 1893 and in 1907. The building was designed in part by architect Harvey Ellis under the Office of the Supervising Architect Mifflin E. Bell. The building has served as the City Hall since the 1970s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.Federal offices in Rochester, the Kenneth B. Keating Federal Building, and the United States Court House are located across the street at 100 State Street.
