Wendell ( wen-DEL) is a town in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. It is a satellite town of Raleigh, the state capital. The population was 5,845 at the 2010 census.

The Wendell Boulevard Historic District is a national historic district located at Wendell, North Carolina, a town in eastern Wake County. The residential district encompasses 74 contributing buildings built between about 1890 and 1958. It includes notable examples of Colonial Revival and Bungalow / American Craftsman style architecture. Notable buildings include the Wendell Baptist Church (1937), Wendell United Methodist Church (1923), and a service station (1958).The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Bearded Bee Brewing Company is a brewery located in Wendell, North Carolina. Since opening on July 31, 2020, the brewery has involved itself with the community by participating in town events, hosting food trucks, and supporting local beekeeping efforts to become a major community gathering place within the town.

The Wendell Commercial Historic District is a national historic district encompassing the historic central business district of Wendell, North Carolina, a town in eastern Wake County. The district is notable for its intact collection of one- and two-story brick masonry commercial buildings executed in the vernacular style typical of eastern North Carolina communities in the first half of the twentieth century. The roughly three-block district is bounded on the north by the 1906 Raleigh-Pamlico Railroad tracks, on the east by Pine Street, on the south by the rear property lines of the structures fronting Third Street, and on the west by the rear property lines of the buildings fronting Main Street. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in July 1998.

The Hood–Anderson Farm is a historic home and farm and national historic district located at Eagle Rock, Wake County, North Carolina, a suburb of the state capital Raleigh. The main house was built about 1839, and is an example of transitional Federal / Greek Revival style I-house. It is two stories with a low-pitched hip roof and a rear two-story, hipped-roof ell. The front facade features a large, one-story porch, built in 1917, supported by Tuscan order columns. Also on the property are the contributing combined general store and post office (1854), a one-room dwelling, a two-room tenant/slave house, a barn (1912), a smokehouse, and several other outbuildings and sites including a family cemetery.In April 1999, the Hood–Anderson Farm was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Eagle Rock is an unincorporated community in Wake County, North Carolina, United States. It is located at 35°47'28N 78°24'31W, and is approximately 4 miles (6.4 km) east of Knightdale, and 2.25 miles (3.62 km) northwest of Wendell, just to the southeast of the interchange of US 64 and US 64-Business. Southeastern Free Will Baptist College lies within the community. The Hood–Anderson Farm is located in Eagle Rock and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

As of the 2010 census, Marks Creek Township had a population of 21,932, a 34.7% increase over 2000. Marks Creek Township, occupying 53.1 square miles (137.4 km2) in eastern Wake County, includes the entire town of Wendell.

The George and Neva Barbee House, also known as the Dr. G. S. Barbee House, is a historic home located at Zebulon, Wake County, North Carolina, a town near Raleigh, NC. Constructed in 1914, the two-story, brick American Foursquare house was designed in the American Craftsman / Bungalow style. It features a hipped roof with overhanging eaves, a porte cochere, a sheltered wraparound porch, and a nearly solid brick porch balustrade.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2007.

Whitley Furniture Galleries (abbreviated as Whitley Galleries) was a former furniture retailer located in Zebulon, North Carolina. While operational, the galleries were advertised as "Wake County's largest furniture store," and had the largest furniture stock in the Research Triangle until closing in 2022. Founded as the Zebulon Supply Company in 1909 by R.J. Whitley, the business was passed down to his son C.V. Whitley upon his death in 1924. Under C.V., the business, which before had been a general supplies store, began to specialize in furniture. This product specialization: alongside its location in a crossroads town, large floor space, and good business practices, helped the business survive the Great Depression. Radio advertising and giveaways helped make the business one of the town's most successful businesses, and the county's largest furniture store. In January 2022, the business announced its closure after 113 years of operations, citing a lack of a fifth generation to carry on the family business. All eight buildings part of the galleries were put on sale for $5,299,000.
