Monte Civetta (3,220 m) is a prominent and major mountain of the Dolomites, in the Province of Belluno in northern Italy. Its north-west face can be viewed from the Taibon Agordino valley, and is classed as one of the symbols of the Dolomites.The mountain is thought to have been first climbed by Simeone di Silvestro in 1855, which, if true, makes it the first major Dolomite peak to be climbed. The north-western face, with its 1,000-metre-high cliff, was first climbed in 1925 by Emil Solleder and Gustl Lettenbauer. It is historically considered the first "sixth grade" in six-tier scale of alpinistic difficulties proposed by Willo Welzenbach (corresponding to 5.9). Thirty years later UIAA used this as a basis for its grading system. The famed Svan mountain climber Mikhail Khergiani died in a climbing accident on Monte Civetta in 1969.

Alleghe (Ladin: Àlie) is a village and comune in the province of Belluno in the Italian region of Veneto. To the west Alleghe borders with Alleghe Lake, which was formed in 1771 by a landslide from the adjacent Mont Piz.

Selva di Cadore is a comune (municipality) in the province of Belluno in the Italian region of Veneto, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Venice and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Belluno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 557 and an area of 33.1 square kilometres (12.8 sq mi). The population speaks a Venetian dialect called Ladin Venetian that is heavily influenced by the Ladin language. The municipality of Selva di Cadore contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) S.Fosca and Pescul. Selva di Cadore borders the following municipalities: Alleghe, Borca di Cadore, Colle Santa Lucia, San Vito di Cadore, Zoldo Alto.

The Duran Pass (Italian: Passo Duran) (el. 1601 m.) is a high mountain pass in the Dolomites in the province of Belluno in Italy. It is situated between the municipality of La Valle Agordina and Zoldo Alto; it connects Agordo in the Cordevole valley and Pralongo in the Zoldo valley. The pass road is SS 347. There are two restaurants and a little church at the summit. The pass is regularly used on the Giro d'Italia, with the last edition to climb the Duran being the 2012 Giro. Climbing from the classic Agordo side, the climb averages 8.1% for 12.2 km, with a maximum gradient of 14%.

Colle Santa Lucia (Italian pronunciation: [ˈkɔlle ˈsanta luˈtʃiːa]; Ladin language: Col) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Belluno in the Italian region of Veneto, located about 120 kilometres (75 mi) north of Venice and about 40 kilometres (25 mi) northwest of Belluno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 408 and an area of 15.3 square kilometres (5.9 sq mi). The population speaks a Venetian dialect called Ladin Venetian that is heavily influenced by the Ladin language. Colle Santa Lucia borders the following municipalities: Alleghe, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Livinallongo del Col di Lana, Rocca Pietore, San Vito di Cadore, Selva di Cadore.

Zoldo Alto is a town in the province of Belluno, Veneto, Italy. It has been a frazione of Val di Zoldo since 2016. It is noted for its ski resort. A boarding school was established in the 1950s, used by the children during spring and autumn and senior citizens during the winter months. On 31 January 1991 the municipality was affected by the Ru Duelle Roe landslide, which affected the right flank of the Ru delle Roe stream in the dolomitic slopes of Cime di San Sebastiano and Moiazza. The region is a producer of fresh and mature cheeses.

Becco di Mezzodì (2,603m) is a mountain of the Croda da Lago chain, a small mountain group in the central Dolomites. It is located above the resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo in Belluno, northern Italy. The mountain's name means Midday Peak in the local dialect, as the sun appears directly above the peak at midday from Cortina. The climb usually starts from the Refuge Croda da Lago on the road to the Giau Pass. Climbing gear and slings are required.

The Dolomiti Bellunesi National Park (in Italian: Parco nazionale delle Dolomiti Bellunesi) is a national park in the province of Belluno, Veneto, in the northern Italy. Established in 1988, the national park is included in the section "Pale di San Martino - San Lucano - Dolomiti Bellunesi - Vette Feltrine" of the Dolomites declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2009.

Cencenighe Agordino (Ladin: Zenzenìghe) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Belluno in the Italian region Veneto, located about 110 kilometres (68 mi) north of Venice and about 30 kilometres (19 mi) northwest of Belluno. Cencenighe Agordino borders the following municipalities: Canale d'Agordo, San Tomaso Agordino, Taibon Agordino, Vallada Agordina.

Taibon Agordino is a comune (municipality) in the province of Belluno in the Italian region of Veneto, located about 100 kilometres (62 mi) north of Venice and about 25 kilometres (16 mi) northwest of Belluno. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,790 and an area of 90.4 square kilometres (34.9 sq mi).Many of the homes in Taibon have descended within families. It is common for younger generations to move out of the valley to a larger city for the purpose of building a career and subsequently return for retirement. Taibon was once populated by homesteaders who were self-sufficient, making their own dairy products, sausage, and polenta as their source of carbohydrates. Today these family homes are treasured because of the family history they represent, but also because they are adjacent to some of the best trekking, skiing, and road cycling in the world. Taibon Agordino borders the following municipalities: Agordo, Alleghe, Canale d'Agordo, Cencenighe Agordino, Gosaldo, San Tomaso Agordino, Tonadico, Voltago Agordino, Zoldo Alto.
