Herald Harbor is a census-designated place and an unincorporated community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 2,603. It is a quiet residential area with a scenic view of the Severn River and is near the community of Crownsville and Interstate 97. Herald Harbor is known for its area immediately along the Severn River known as Long Point on the Severn, a fairly affluent neighborhood composed mainly of retired and wealthy land owners.

The Linstead House is a historic home in the Linstead community of Severna Park, Maryland. The three-story brick house overlooks the Severn River and is believed to have been constructed by the McCubbin or Linstead families between 1772 and 1780.In 1906, the property was sold to Francis and Harry Riggs of Baltimore, and it was subsequently used in the summers to entertain guests and throw lavish parties. During this period, the Riggs brothers also allowed the area Boy Scouts to use a large portion of the surrounding property as "Camp Linstead." Even the famous Maryland governor Albert Ritchie was known to occasionally stop by the Linstead House to partake in the Riggs brothers' parties.The house was a homestead and part of a larger farm for much of its history, boasting a wine cellar and prize chickens and hogs. A short distance down the road from Linstead House is a cemetery dating back to the 1830s and containing the graves of multiple Linstead family members and Linstead House residents.In the 1940s the estate was bought by the Carter family, who notably hosted Dwight D. Eisenhower for dinner at one point.The building was restored in the second half of the 20th century, and remains a private residence today.Linstead House is registered with the Maryland Historical Trust as "Carter's Bluff," MIHP number AA-132.

Sherwood Forest is an unincorporated community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States.

Belvoir is a historic house at Crownsville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is a two-story, T-shaped building, constructed of brick, stone, and wood. The home is a product of building evolution spanning the 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries. The earliest portion was probably built about 1736, but could date to the 17th century. It was the home of the grandmother of Francis Scott Key, who composed the Star Spangled Banner. Key visited in the summer in 1789.Archaeological research is being performed on the plantation site to document the lives of slaves during the 18th and 19th centuries. A foundation from the slave quarters made of stone from the last quarter of the 18th century was found, with many artifacts from the period when slaves lived in the building.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.

The Eisenhower Golf Club, named after U.S. President Dwight Eisenhower, is the golf course located at Crownsville, Maryland in Anne Arundel County. The club is just a mile from Maryland capital Annapolis, which is also the home of the United States Naval Academy.

Iglehart is an unincorporated community in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. Iglehart was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Iglehart is a historic home at Iglehart, Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is a 2+1⁄2-story Greek Revival-style frame house with a gable roof, built about 1830. Its owner, Leonard Iglehart, served as a commissioner for the primary schools in Anne Arundel County from 1834 until 1838. He was also one of the six original commissioners of the Annapolis and Elk Ridge Railroad, which was incorporated by an act of the Maryland General Assembly in December 1836.Iglehart was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

Severn School was founded in 1914 by Roland M. Teel in Severna Park, Maryland, as a preparatory school for the United States Naval Academy. In 2013, Severn School merged with nearby Chesapeake Academy. Currently the school enrolls boys and girls from pre-school through grade 12.

Severna Park High School is a public high school in the United States located in the suburban CDP of Severna Park, Maryland. It is a part of the Anne Arundel County Public Schools system. SPHS opened its doors to students in 1959 and was the seventh public high school opened in Anne Arundel County. (It is the fourth-oldest to remain open after Arundel, Annapolis, and Glen Burnie High Schools as Brooklyn Park and Andover High Schools were replaced by North County High School in 1990 and the all-Black Wiley H. Bates High School became an integrated middle school in 1966). Its principal is Lindsay Abruzzo. A new school was built on the same grounds, and opened in January 2017. The Falcons are sports rivals with nearby Broadneck High School.

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church was established in 1912 in Severna Park, Maryland. With more than 1,500-1,800 members, it is the largest congregation in the Baltimore Presbytery, and among the largest 1.02% of Presbyterian churches in the United States.

Crownsville is a census-designated place (CDP) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. The population was 1,757 at the 2010 census. It hosts the Anne Arundel County Fair each September, as well as the annual Maryland Renaissance Festival for several summer weekends. A state psychiatric hospital was formerly in Crownsville. The area offers waterfront scenery and easy access to urban metropolitan areas and culture.

St. Paul's Chapel is an historic Carpenter Gothic style Episcopal church at Crownsville, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. It is a small board-and-batten frame church composed of a simple rectangular nave, a small entrance porch, a small deep chancel, and two very small utility sections added to the sides of the chancel. There is a small cemetery on the property dating from the 1860s. It may be an example of a church built by following plans of Richard Upjohn, the noted 19th-century American architect.St. Paul's Chapel is now part of St. Paul's Anglican Church in the Anglican Province of America. Its current rector is Rev. Wesley Walker. The Right Rev. Robert Samuel Loiselle, Sr., who is also assistant bishop of the Anglican Province of America is the rector emeritus. In 2008, a new larger church building, designed to be compatible architecturally with the chapel was built next to it and the two were joined together. Regular services using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer are held in the chapel and the main church at 8:00 am (chapel), 9:15 and 11:00 am every Sunday. Sunday school is at 9:15 am. Holy Communion is celebrated every Wednesday morning at 7:30 am. Everyone is always welcome. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.
