Severn School

Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church was established in 1912 in Severna Park, Maryland. With more than 1,500-1,800 members, it is the largest congregation in the Baltimore Presbytery, and among the largest 1.02% of Presbyterian churches in the United States.

The Linstead House is a historic home in the Linstead community of Severna Park, Maryland. The three-story brick house overlooks the Severn River and is believed to have been constructed by the McCubbin or Linstead families between 1772 and 1780.In 1906, the property was sold to Francis and Harry Riggs of Baltimore, and it was subsequently used in the summers to entertain guests and throw lavish parties. During this period, the Riggs brothers also allowed the area Boy Scouts to use a large portion of the surrounding property as "Camp Linstead." Even the famous Maryland governor Albert Ritchie was known to occasionally stop by the Linstead House to partake in the Riggs brothers' parties.The house was a homestead and part of a larger farm for much of its history, boasting a wine cellar and prize chickens and hogs. A short distance down the road from Linstead House is a cemetery dating back to the 1830s and containing the graves of multiple Linstead family members and Linstead House residents.In the 1940s the estate was bought by the Carter family, who notably hosted Dwight D. Eisenhower for dinner at one point.The building was restored in the second half of the 20th century, and remains a private residence today.Linstead House is registered with the Maryland Historical Trust as "Carter's Bluff," MIHP number AA-132.

Severna Park High School is a public high school in the United States located in the suburban CDP of Severna Park, Maryland. It is a part of the Anne Arundel County Public Schools system. SPHS opened its doors to students in 1959 and was the seventh public high school opened in Anne Arundel County. (It is the fourth-oldest to remain open after Arundel, Annapolis, and Glen Burnie High Schools as Brooklyn Park and Andover High Schools were replaced by North County High School in 1990 and the all-Black Wiley H. Bates High School became an integrated middle school in 1966). Its principal is Lindsay Abruzzo. A new school was built on the same grounds, and opened in January 2017. The Falcons are sports rivals with nearby Broadneck High School.

The Baltimore & Annapolis Trail is a 13.3-mile (21.4 km) rail trail in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The trail starts at Boulter's Way in Arnold and ends near Baltimore Light Rail's Cromwell Station in Glen Burnie. Starting near Annapolis at Jonas Green Park, the trail passes (northward) through Arnold, Severna Park, Millersville, Pasadena, and Glen Burnie. The Baltimore & Annapolis Trail follows the route of the Baltimore & Annapolis Railroad from which it derives its name. Proposed in 1972 by Jim Hague, it opened on Oct 7, 1990 as the second rail trail in Maryland.In June 1996, the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail became part of the East Coast Greenway–from Calais, Maine to Key West, Florida. The trail is part of the American Discovery Trail–a trail from the Atlantic coast of Delaware to San Francisco, California.

Robinson House is a historic home located at Severna Park in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It was built about 1740 and is a 1+1⁄2-story stone dwelling with a gambrel roof, 40 feet wide by 24 feet deep. It is built of red sandstone, locally known as ironstone.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

It is a quiet residential area with a scenic view of the Severn River and is near the community of Crownsville and Interstate 97. Herald Harbor is known for its area immediately along the Severn River known as Long Point on the Severn, a fairly affluent neighborhood composed mainly of retired and wealthy land owners.

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is a public community college in Arnold, Maryland. The college was founded in 1961 and is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. The community college offers letters of recognition, 46 associate degree programs, and 62 certificate programs through its five schools.AACC's athletic teams compete in the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MDJUCO) of the NJCAA. They are collectively known as the Riverhawks and have won four national championships. AACC Athletics has won the Dr. Jack Cistriano Sportsmanship Award six times. The award is presented annually by the MDJUCO to the member school whose teams have demonstrated the best sportsmanship throughout an academic year.AACC was ranked #1 Community College in the Country by Academic Influence in 2021. Arden on the Severn is a census-designated place (CDP) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. The population was 1,880 at the 2020 census. Its homes offer residents private waterfront beaches including private docks and boat slips as well as access to four private community beaches. The homes in Arden on the Severn are considered to be amongst some of the most sought after residential properties in the State of Maryland, as the community is secluded from main roads and business, but is close enough to the main highways offering residents easy commuting routes with low amounts of traffic to the Washington, D.C., Annapolis, and Baltimore metro areas.
