Camp Avoda

Tispaquin Pond is a 194-acre (0.79 km2) warm water pond in Middleborough, Massachusetts. The pond is in the Taunton River Watershed. The average depth of the pond is seven feet, and the maximum depth is eight feet. Transparency of the water is six feet. Shorts Brook and Woods Brook provide the inflow for the pond. The outflow is Fall Brook, a tributary of the Nemasket River. Camp Avoda and Camp Yomechas are located on the pond. Access to the southern shore of the pond is via Eldon Street off Rocky Gutter Street. An unpaved launch area is suitable for car top boats and canoes. It is a popular spot for recreational fishing, particularly for yellow perch and largemouth bass.

The Middleborough Waterworks are historic waterworks on E. Grove St. at Nesmasket River and Wareham St. at Barden Hill Road in Middleborough, Massachusetts. The 1885 masonry pumphouse is one of the earliest public water works buildings in southeastern Massachusetts. It, and the well from which it pumps water, were built by the local fire district. The building has Queen Anne styling; the well itself is covered by an octagonal roof with cupola.The waterworks were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Middleborough is a town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 24,245 at the 2020 census. The census-designated place of Middleborough Center corresponds to the main village and commercial center of the town. It is the second largest municipality by land area in Massachusetts and nineteenth largest in New England. Middleborough proclaims itself to be the "Cranberry Capital of the World". Cranberry production remains a significant part of the local economy. In 2015, approximately 1,400 acres of the town were used to grow the crop, accounting for 3% of all land used to harvest cranberry bogs in the United States.

Middleborough High School is a public high school located in Middleborough, Massachusetts, established in 1873. The school is located at 71 East Grove Street. Middleborough High has an approximate student enrollment of 850 students in grades 9–12. The school's mascot is known as the "Sachem" and the school colors are black and orange.

Pocksha Pond is a lake/reservoir/pond within the towns of Lakeville and Middleboro, in southeastern Massachusetts. It shares its waters with Great Quittacas Pond and openly connected with Assawompset Pond. These lakes provides a source of drinking water to the city of New Bedford, the largest city in southeastern Massachusetts.

The Middleborough Historical Museum is a museum located at 18 Jackson Street, Middleborough, Massachusetts, and maintained by the Middleborough Historical Association. It is sometimes known as the Tom Thumb Museum for its extensive holdings of personal items from General Tom Thumb and his wife Lavinia Warren, who lived in the nearby Tom Thumb House. The museum was founded in 1961, and currently comprises 7 buildings as follows:

The Robbins Museum, also known as the Robbins Museum of Archaeology, is an archaeological museum operated by the Massachusetts Archaeological Society (MAS). It is located at 17 Jackson Street, Middleborough, Massachusetts, US. The collection numbers approximately 150,000 artifacts. The museum contains a gallery, lecture hall, library, gift shop, and 4,550 square feet of exhibit spaces displaying over 3,000 artifacts. There are many artifacts and displays about Native Americans in New England, including a timeline, a diorama of a 4,300 year old village, Native American dolls, a handcrafted mishoon (dugout canoe), and portraits.

The Peter Pierce Store is a historic commercial building at 99 North Main Street in Middleborough, Massachusetts. The Greek Revival structure was built in 1808 by Colonel Peter Pierce, one of the town's leading businessmen of the mid 19th century. It is presently unoccupied. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.

Nemasket Hill Cemetery is a cemetery located in Middleborough, Massachusetts. It was set aside as a burial ground in 1662, and is the oldest in Middleborough. The oldest engraved headstone here (and within the town of Middleborough) is that of Elizabeth Vaughan, who died on June 24, 1693.The cemetery conducts a "Stroll thru History" annually, in May.The Nemasket Hill Cemetery Association holds Annual Meetings on the third Saturday in April at the Middleborough Public Library. The meeting are open to the public.The cemetery has been in continuous operation since it was established. The cemetery was incorporated on March 24, 1885. The Nemasket Cemetery Circle was a group that was active in the early part of the 1900s and they raised funds that financed various cemetery improvement projects. In 1919, a bridge was erected from North Street over the Nemasket River and connected to wooden stairs that ascended the hill to access the cemetery. The bridge is no longer present, but the stairs remain. During the 1920s, a Chapel was built. In 2009, the cemetery added a columbarium.

The Middleborough Main Post Office is a historic post office building in Middleborough, Massachusetts. The single-story brick and stone building was erected in 1933 as part of a Works Progress Administration jobs program. The building has neo-Classical style, with a projecting entry pavilion, and windows slightly recessed in round arch openings.The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1987, and included in the Middleborough Center Historic District in 2000.

The South Middleborough Historic District encompasses the historic village center of South Middleborough, Massachusetts. The village is located about 6.5 miles (10.5 km) south of the town center, at the junction of Wareham and Locust Streets. Wareham Street (designated Massachusetts Route 28), was for many years the primary route to Cape Cod, until the construction in 1966 of Massachusetts Route 24, a divided highway that bypasses the village. Partly because of the highway, the village center has not been significantly altered since that time. The district includes 88 acres (36 ha), with 75 contributing resources. Most of buildings in the district were constructed between the late 18th century and about 1930. It began to develop as a local center of civic and commercial activity in the second half of the 18th century, when a church (no longer extant, now the site of the 1841 Greek Revival Methodist church) was built and the cemetery was laid out. By the early 19th century a cluster of houses had risen in the area. The arrival of the railroad in 1848 spurred additional growth, including the construction of stores such as the c. 1890 South Middleborough Store at 32 Spruce Street, and the rise of lumbering as an industry. In the 1920s the rise of the automobile led to increased traffic on the Wareham road, and the village grew to serve the business of passing travelers. This traffic was considerably reduced by the construction of Route 24, and the village suffered economically.

The Middleborough Center Historic District is a historic district in Middleborough, Massachusetts, United States. It encompasses the center of the town, whose most significant period of growth was between about 1850 and 1920. It is roughly bounded by a former Conrail railroad line, Frank, Pierce, School, North Streets, Nemasket Road, and East Grove Street. The district covers 220 acres (89 ha), and includes about 500 buildings. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.
