Hollywood Forever Cemetery is a full-service cemetery, funeral home, crematory, and cultural events center which regularly hosts community events such as live music and summer movie screenings. It is one of the oldest cemeteries in Los Angeles, California and is located at 6000 Santa Monica Boulevard in the Hollywood district of Los Angeles. It was founded in 1899 as Hollywood Cemetery, and, from 1939, was known as Hollywood Memorial Park until 1998 when it was given its current name. The studios of Paramount Pictures are located at the south end of the same block, on 40 acres (16 ha) that were once part of the cemetery which held no interments. Individuals interred in the cemetery include many prominent people from the entertainment industry, as well as people who played vital roles in shaping Los Angeles.

The Hollywood Studio Club was a chaperoned dormitory, sometimes referred to as a sorority, for young women involved in the motion picture business from 1916 to 1975. Located in the heart of Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, the Studio Club was run by the YWCA and housed some 10,000 women during its 59-year existence. It was the home at various times to many Hollywood celebrities, including Marilyn Monroe, Ayn Rand, Donna Reed, Kim Novak, Maureen O'Sullivan, Rita Moreno, Barbara Eden, and Sharon Tate. The building was designed in the Italian Renaissance Revival architectural style by noted California architect Julia Morgan, who also designed Hearst Castle. The Studio Club closed in 1975, and the building was used as a YWCA-run Job Corps dormitory until April 30, 2012. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and remains the property of the YWCA Greater Los Angeles.

Dearly Departed Tours and Artifact Museum was a guided bus tour of the locations of tragic events in Hollywood, Los Angeles, such as the site of the Tate–LaBianca murders perpetrated by members of the Manson Family, and an adjacent museum with artifacts from these events.The museum was on Santa Monica Boulevard, across from the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. It opened in April 2017. It displayed a smashed 1966 Buick Electra sedan in which Jayne Mansfield died in 1968. Other items on display in the museum included a Marilyn Monroe lunch box, Mae West's false teeth, and a funeral urn with the ashes of Michu Meszaros, a dwarf and stunt double who played ALF.Via a crowdfunding campaign, the owner of the museum raised the funds to have Ken Weatherwax interred in Valhalla Memorial Park Cemetery in North Hollywood in 2017.The museum shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Many gold or platinum records were recorded or mixed at Track Record: The Offspring's Ignition and the follow-up Smash (which has gone platinum six times), Emmylou Harris' Roses in the Snow, Megadeth's Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?, Red Hot Chili Peppers' Mother's Milk, Jane's Addiction's Ritual de lo Habitual, Social Distortion's self-titled third album, Blink-182's Dude Ranch, Wu-Tang Clan's The W, Aerosmith's Nine Lives, Evanescence's Fallen, Aaliyah's One in a Million, Goo Goo Dolls' Dizzy Up the Girl, Maroon 5's Songs About Jane, Tori Amos' Little Earthquakes, Kiss' Revenge and Quincy Jones' Q's Jook Joint.Snoop Dogg recorded his first two albums, Doggystyle and Tha Doggfather, at Track Record as did Tupac Shakur for the sessions of two of his posthumous releases R U Still Down? (Remember Me) and Still I Rise, the collaboration with Outlawz. Other clients that have recorded or mixed at the studio include Slayer, Corrosion of Conformity, Trouble, Bad Religion, Agent Orange, Face to Face, Fates Warning, The Bouncing Souls, Ignite, SNFU, Sacred Reich, School of Fish, Cypress Hill, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, LL Cool J, Run–D.M.C., System of a Down, Iggy Pop, Mötley Crüe, Limp Bizkit, Chicago, Scorpions, Foreigner, 7 Seconds, Mary J. Blige, Jessica Simpson, Avenged Sevenfold, John Fogerty, Courtney Love, Kid Rock, Pat Benatar, White Zombie, Brandy, Tito Puente, Coolio, Black Label Society, Dwight Yoakam, Pink and Dishwalla. Studio was purchased by Paramount Recording Studios in 2010.

Gold Star Studios was an independent recording studio located in Hollywood, California. In its entire history, Gold Star was one of the most successful commercial recording studios in the world. Founded by David S. Gold and Stan Ross and opened in October 1950, Gold Star Recording Studios was located at 6252 Santa Monica Boulevard near the corner of Vine Street in Hollywood, the studio name was a combination of the names of the two owners—(Dave) GOLD and STA(n) R(oss). The studio was renowned for its unique custom-designed recording equipment, which was designed and built by Gold, and for its echo chambers (also designed and built by Gold), which were utilised heavily by producers, most notably, Phil Spector. Many big bands and orchestras recorded at Gold Star. Band leader Phil Carreon and Vocalist Ray Vasquez recorded at the facility in the 1950s.

California Laundry was an early 1920s business in Hollywood, California, and in its day, possibly the city's largest business institution outside of the film studios. It was located on Vine Street. At the time it was established, the California Laundry was one of the few laundry businesses in the country in which each machine was driven by an individual motor, eliminating the possibility of a breakdown which would cripple the entire plant. The machinery used in the California Laundry was the largest single shipment of laundry apparatus ever sent to the Pacific coast.

El Centro Theatre is a Hollywood theater. It was founded in 1946 and is located at 804 N. El Centro Ave. Hollywood, California 90038.

Larchmont Charter School is a public charter school located in Los Angeles, California. Considered popular amongst parents in the entertainment industry and highly diverse, Larchmont is known for its high academic ranking and constructivist approach to learning, with one of the city's most selective high schools.

The Elephant Theatre Company was a non-profit theatre company based in Hollywood. The company "built a reputation for championing new American plays" and ceased operation in September 2015.

Radium Sulphur Springs, located on the north side of Melrose Avenue between Larchmont and Gower Street in Los Angeles, California, U.S., was an early-20th-century hot spring that resulted from an unsuccessful attempt to drill 1,500 feet (460 m) for oil. "Discovered" in 1905 and opened as a spa by G. P. Gehring in 1908, the owners claimed that the water was radioactive, germicidal, and blood purifying. The supposed radioactivity of water was advertised as "liquid sunshine" and was part of the larger radium fad of the early 20th century. The spa was located in Colegrove, an electric-railway stop and associated community just south of Hollywood.

Electro-Vox Recording Studios (or simply Vox) is a recording studio in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, United States, currently owned by American musician Woody Jackson. It is located on Melrose Avenue across from the Paramount Pictures gate.

The Steve Allen Playhouse was a vaudeville and film theater in Hollywood, California. Located at 1228 North Vine Street, on the corner of La Mirada, it was originally named the La Mirada Theatre, and later the Filmarte Theatre.
