Alderman White School

Bramcote Hills Sports and Community College was a mixed state school in Nottinghamshire. It taught children from 11 to 18 (Years 7-13). It is located in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire. It was part of the White Hills Park Federation with Executive Head Teacher, Kevin Dean, the School Leader, Mal Kerr. Bramcote Hills Sports and Community College was formally closed by Nottinghamshire County Council on 31 August 2009. At the same time the council agreed from 1 September 2009, to enlarge Alderman White School and Language College, to incorporate the remaining site of Bramcote Hills School, following demolition of the unsafe upper school, this making Alderman White a split-site school.

The White Hills Park Trust, is a collective group of academies in Nottinghamshire, England. The name is derived from the three schools originally within the White Hills Park Federation. The Federation was founded in 2006 after recruiting a 'super head', for the three schools which at the time none of which had a headteachers. Kevin Dean was recruited from Eastwood Comprehensive School, to become the Federation Executive Head Teacher.On 1 October 2012 the White Hills Park Federation became The White Hills Park Federation Trust, a multi-academy trust, and since then has become known simply as The White Hills Park Trust.

The Church of St Michael and All Angels, Bramcote is an Anglican parish church in Bramcote, Broxtowe, Nottinghamshire, England.

Bramcote Hills forms the northern area of the village and Nottingham suburb of Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, built in the 1950s. It is separated from the main part of the village by the A52 Derby Road (the Brian Clough Way). It takes the name from an old family seat of Bramcote Hills, the home of the Sherwin and Sherwin-Gregory family. To the north is Bramcote Ridge, Bramcote Moor and Wollaton. To the southeast is the town of Beeston. The Bramcote Hills Sport & Community College was located in the area — now the site is part of the Alderman White School and Language College. This together with the nearby Bramcote College forms the White Hills Park Federation. The Bramcote Hills Primary School is also based in Bramcote Hills. Bramcote Hills Park is a stretch of woodland and fields that used to be a part of the manor house, but the house was demolished in 1968 and its grounds became the public park. You can still see the manor house ruins in Bramcote Hills Park today.

The Frances Jane Longden Almshouses were erected in 1852 in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire, for 4 poor women.The patron was Frances Jane Longden, the sister of John Sherwin Gregory of Bramcote Manor. She endowed the almshouses to provide accommodation for four poor women of the parish who were to receive two shillings weekly and two tons of coal each year. The datestone is located just off centre of the building with the wording “Almshouses erected by Frances Jane Longden 1852”The almshouses are situated at the top of Cow Lane, Bramcote. Nottingham Community Housing Association assumed ownership in 2007, and the independent charity 244900 which had formerly managed the housing was closed.

Bramcote is a suburban village in the Broxtowe district of Nottinghamshire, England, between Stapleford and Beeston. It is in Broxtowe parliamentary constituency. The main Nottingham–Derby road today is the A52, Brian Clough Way. Nearby are Beeston, Wollaton, Chilwell and Stapleford. One of the main roads between Nottingham and Derby used to pass through the village centre, entering a cutting that formed a blind bend. A country house to the north of the village became publicly owned and was demolished in 1968. Its grounds became a public area of park and hillside, now known as Bramcote Hills Park.

The college stood in the open evangelical tradition and stated that its mission was "to inspire creative Christian learning marked by evangelical conviction, theological excellence and Spirit-filled life, that all who train with us might be equipped for mission in a world of change".St John's trained students for ministries in the Church of England and other denominations, independent students from a range of Christian contexts, and students for children's and youth ministries through its Midlands centre for the Institute for Children, Youth and Mission (MCYM). It offered full-time, part-time, blended and distance learning courses, including specialist modules in pastoral care and counselling and church administration. Academic awards were validated by Durham University and Gloucester University, and a self-accredited Certificate in Christian Studies.

Beeston and Stapleford was an urban district in Nottinghamshire, England, from 1935 to 1974. It was created by a County Review Order. Beeston had previously been part of Beeston Urban District itself, to which was added the entirety of the Stapleford Rural District, consisting of the parishes of Bramcote, Chilwell, Stapleford and Toton. The urban district bordered the county borough of Nottingham in the north west, two disconnected parts of the Basford Rural District to the north and south, and to the west the South East Derbyshire Rural District and Long Eaton in Derbyshire. The council built itself Beeston Town Hall on Foster Avenue in Beeston at a cost of £18,500 (equivalent to £1,256,700 in 2021) designed by the architectural firm of Evans, Clark and Woollatt which opened on 24 March 1938.Since 1974 it has formed part of the Broxtowe borough.

The Fernwood School is an academy based in Wollaton, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England.It was previously known as Fernwood Comprehensive School.In 2018 it was granted funding to expand to take an additional 450 pupils.
