North Forest High School (NFHS) is a secondary school located in Houston, Texas, United States. The school is a part of the Houston Independent School District (HISD); it was a part of the North Forest Independent School District (NFISD) until the district closed on July 1, 2013.

The Golf Club of Houston is a private golf club in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, near Humble and northeast of Houston. The club contains two 18-hole courses; the Member Course is private, while the Tournament Course is open to the public. The Tournament Course was designed by Rees Jones and tour pro David Toms. The club hosted the Houston Open from 2003–2019.

The Texas Children's Houston Open is a professional golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour, played in November. As a part of a restructuring of the schedule, the event moved to the fall in 2019. Because the tour year starts the previous fall, the event was not a part of the 2019 PGA Tour, but was one of the first events of the 2020 PGA Tour. It is held at the Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course in Harris County near downtown Houston and the Galleria.

Mount Houston is a community in north central Harris County, Texas. It is east of U.S. Highway 59, near the Dyersdale oil field.Mount Houston was established along the Houston, East and West Texas Railway. At that time it was 10 miles (16 km) away from Houston. A post office opened in 1910. In 1914 Mount Houston had 100 people. It featured several market gardeners. It included two churches, a sawmill, and a lumber company. The post office closed in 1918. By the 1980s Mount Houston did not significantly increase in size. Within 1 mile (1.6 km) of Mount Houston, three schools and three churches had been established.

Kinwood (formerly Kenwood) is an unincorporated community along U.S. Route 59 and the Southern Pacific Railroad in Harris County, Texas, United States, located four miles south of the city hall of Humble.

Forest Brook High School was a high school located at 7525 Tidwell Road in Houston, Texas, United States. Serving grades 9 through 12, Forest Brook was a part of the North Forest Independent School District. It is now the site of Forest Brook Middle School, now under the control of the Houston Independent School District. A brook runs through the campus.

Halls Bayou is a bayou in the northern part of Houston, Texas. It begins just north of W Mt Houston Road and flows for 17 miles (27 km). It empties into Greens Bayou in Brock Park and Golf Course. It gets its name after Isaac Dolan Hall bought the land.

Summer Creek High School (SCHS) is a high school in unincorporated Harris County, Texas, and a part of the Humble Independent School District. It serves several areas, including Summerwood and Fall Creek, the two neighborhoods that the school get its name from.Built to relieve the overcrowded Atascocita HS and Humble HS, SCHS is approximately 435,000 square feet (40,400 m2) and is a comprehensive, ninth through twelfth grade high school for 3,200 students; The campus has athletic facilities and playing fields, an auditorium, a natatorium, a career and vocational education facilities, a food court and a learning resource center. There is also parking for students, staff, and visitors. SCHS is located at 14000 Weckford Boulevard, near the intersection of Beltway 8 and West Lake Houston Parkway.

Settegast is a neighborhood in northeast Houston; it has an average population density between one and five. The community is bordered by the 610 Loop, the Union Pacific Railroad Settegast Yard, and the old Beaumont Highway. The community has many small, wood-framed houses and empty lots. Habitat for Humanity has a prominent stake in the area, and a community garden is underway. There are few commercial and industrial uses within Settegast. Also, contemporary housing has started to arise within new construction in the area. The City of Houston designated Settegast as a Houston HOPE neighborhood.

J.H. Crenshaw Memorial Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in unincorporated Harris County located northeast of Houston, Texas. The stadium is owned and operated by Sheldon Independent School District and is composed of a track and field which are used for various sports. The stadium is situated in the space between C.E. King Middle School and C.E. King High School and is shared by C.E. King Middle school and Michael R. Null Middle School. Until 2019 when Sheldon ISD Panther Stadium was opened, it was used by C.E. King High School The field is used for football during the first semester of the school year, and for soccer during the second half. Track and field athletics also use the stadium for competitive running, jumping, and throwing. It is mainly used for hosting University Interscholastic League athletic competitions against rival school districts in the region.
