The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit American, left-leaning think tank based in Washington, D.C., that carries out economic research and analyzes the economic impact of policies and proposals. The Franklin School is a building designed by Adolf Cluss in the German round-arch style, located on Franklin Square at 13th and K Street in Washington, D.C. It was constructed in 1869 and initially served as a flagship school building. It later took on various other educational roles, and became a homeless shelter in the 2000s. In 2020, it became the location of the Planet Word museum after its interior was largely gutted.

Asbury United Methodist Church, originally known as Asbury Chapel, is a historic church in Northwest, Washington, D.C. built on the corner of 11th and K Streets. It was placed on the District of Columbia Register of Historic Places on November 1, 1986. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1986. In 2003, the National Park Service approved the listing of Asbury on the National Underground Railroad Network to Freedom.

William T. Golden Center for Science and Engineering is a high-rise building in Washington, D.C., the capital of the United States. Completed in 1996, the building rises to 151 feet (46 m) and has 12 floors. The architects of the building were Davis, Carter, Scott Ltd. and Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, who designed the postmodern building. This building is the headquarters to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, a non-profit organization established in 1848 that aims to advance science around the world. Other tenants include the Association of American Universities and the IRIS Consortium. The building is named after William T. Golden.

Engine Company 16-Truck Company 3 is a fire station and a historic structure located in the Downtown area of Washington, D.C. It was listed on both the District of Columbia Inventory of Historic Sites and on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011. The three-story brick building was designed by Albert L. Harris and built in 1932.

Atlas Network, formerly known as the Atlas Economic Research Foundation, is a non-governmental 501(c)(3) organization based in the United States that provides training, networking and grants for libertarian and free-market groups around the world. Atlas Network partners with about 500 organizations in nearly 100 countries.The 2019 and 2020 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, published by the University of Pennsylvania, ranked the Atlas Network as 54th among the "Top Think Tanks in the United States".

Planet Word is a language arts museum that opened in Washington, D.C., in October 2020. The museum is described as "The museum where language comes to life" and features interactive exhibits dedicated to topics such as the history of the English Language, how children learn words, languages around the world, humor, poetry, and how music and advertising use words. It is located in the historic Franklin School building, designed by Adolf Cluss, located on Franklin Square at 13th and K Street.The museum was created by Ann B. Friedman, a philanthropist and former reading teacher who is married to New York Times opinion columnist Tom Friedman.Initial building renovation began in 2017. In 2018, work on the project was stopped after it was discovered that D.C. and U.S. federal preservation rules were violated in the destruction of the building's interior. A "minimal" fine was paid, work on the project continued, and the museum opened on October 22, 2020.Each exhibit focuses on a different aspect of spoken and/or signed language, with an emphasis on allowing visitors to speak or sign, manipulate, and interact with concepts. This ranges from an elaborate interactive room-sized globe to playful poetry written on bathroom walls.Speaking Willow, an interactive, motion-detecting tree sculpture, is an exhibit created by Rafael Lozano-Hemmer that whispers to visitors in hundreds of different languages as they enter the museum. This interactive sculpture was delivered by Public Art Fund in collaboration of art foundry, UAP.Other notable exhibits within the museum include First Words, Where Do Words Come From?, and The Spoken Word. In March 2022, Planet Word opened Lexicon Lane, a permanent exhibit where visitors can solve language-related “cases”. Located on the third floor of the museum, the exhibit is set up to look like a small village, within which visitor have an hour to solve a mystery by figuring out the answers to language-related puzzles and riddles.Cintas Corporation selected Planet Word as a finalist for the 2021 America’s Best Restroom Contest.In May 2022, the North American School Scrabble Championship was held live at Planet Word. Walden Giezentanner, a seventh grader, and sixth grader Nathaniel Campos were winners.

One Franklin Square is a high-rise building at 1301 K Street NW, in Downtown Washington, D.C., United States.

The Almas Temple is a Masonic building facing Franklin Square at 1315 K St NW in Washington, DC. It houses Almas Shrine, a sub-group for Shriner's International whose headquarters is located in Tampa, Florida. The edifice is in the Moorish architectural style and features an elaborate, multicolored terra-cotta façade. It was constructed in 1929 by Allen H. Potts, a member of the temple.The building is five stories in height. It was renovated and relocated about 100 feet westward to its current location in 1987 to make way for a new office complex, One Franklin Square.
