House at 68 Maple Street

House at 60 William Street is a historic house at 19 Jefferson Street in the Newton Corner village of Newton, Massachusetts. It is listed at 60 William Street in Massachusetts cultural inventory and National Register listings. Built in 1850, it is a well-preserved example of a modest Italianate wood-frame house. It is a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame building, with an L-shaped layout that has a three-story tower at the crook of the L. Italianate styling includes the tower's shallow-pitch hip roof, and paired round-arch windows on its top level.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.

Newton Corner was a streetcar and passenger rail station in the Newton Corner neighborhood of Newton, Massachusetts, located near where Washington Street crosses the Massachusetts Turnpike. The Newton Corner station, known simply as Newton for much of its lifetime, served commuters on the Worcester Line (run by the New York Central Railroad and its predecessors) from 1834 to 1959. The trolley stop, located on the surface streets, served a number of routes beginning in 1898, including the Green Line A branch until 1969. Newton Corner is now a stop and transfer point for a number of bus routes including high-frequency express routes to downtown Boston as well as local routes.

The Henry Bigelow House is a historic house in the Newton Corner village of Newton, Massachusetts. Built about 1830, it is a good local example of Greek Revival architecture, important as home to Henry Bigelow, a prominent local educator and philanthropist. On September 4, 1986, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places.

It runs for around 13.5 miles (21.7 km), from a convergence with Huntington Avenue in Brookline in the east to Wellesley's boundary with South Natick in the west. Forming part of both Massachusetts State Route 9 and State Route 16, it is the main east–west street in Brookline, Brighton, Newton and Wellesley.

Newton Presbyterian Church is a Presbyterian Church (USA) church in Newton, Massachusetts, United States. Completed in 1881 as Channing Unitarian Church, the church building became the congregation's home in 1945, having previously been at a church at the corner of Warren Avenue and West Brookline Street in Boston's Back Bay neighborhood. The church was rededicated on April 23, 1946. In 2014, its congregation was spread around 126 zip codes, with around one-third of the church's members living not only outside of Newton but outside any bordering town. In 2017, the congregation voted 107–26 to leave Presbyterian Church (USA) and join a small evangelical denomination. The church's name was changed to Newton Covenant Church. Its local authority, the Presbytery of Boston, sued the church in an attempt to regain control of the congregation, claiming the vote was unauthorized and against denomination rules. A sign installed in front of the church read "G O D I S N O W H E R E", leading to some people to read it as "God is nowhere" instead of the intended "God is now here." The congregation has since resumed its affiliation with Presbyterian Church (USA). There have been seventeen pastors of the church since 1846. As of 2021, the position is held by Rev. Thomas D. Reid. The church is one of five in an area of around 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2), the others being (from west to east) Arabic Baptist Church, Eliot Church of Newton UCC, Grace Episcopal Church and Newton Covenant Church (located in Bigelow Junior High School).

Watertown Carhouse is a bus maintenance facility and former streetcar carhouse located in the southern section of Watertown, Massachusetts, across the Charles River from Watertown Square. As Watertown Yard, the site also serves as a bus depot serving local and express routes, with additional connections available at Watertown Square on the opposite end of the Watertown Bridge.

Watertown Square is a neighborhood in Watertown, Massachusetts, centered on the intersection of Main Street and North Beacon Street (both part of U.S. Route 20) and Galen Street and Mount Auburn Street (both part of State Route 16). The square stands immediately to the north of the Charles River, which is crossed by the Watertown Bridge on Galen Street. The Armenian Library and Museum of America is located in the square; Watertown Dam is 1,000 feet (300 m) to the west. MBTA bus routes 59 and 71 terminate in a busway on the west side of the square, while route 70 stops on the north side.

The Rawson Estate is a historic estate house at 41 Vernon Street in Newton, Massachusetts. The 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame house was built c. 1860, and is a well-preserved surviving specimen of an Italianate estate house, a form which was once more common in the Newton Corner area. It has a symmetrical appearance, with a projecting central section with a gable in which a round-arch window is set. The front porch has ornate decorative wood trim. The house was built by Daniel Rawson, a boot and shoe merchant, and was once part of a much larger landholding of the Rawsons.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1986.
