Ashburn Presbyterian Church is a historic Presbyterian church located in Ashburn, Loudoun County, Virginia. It was built in 1878, and is a one-story, rectangular wood-frame building in the Carpenter Gothic style. The church measures 33 feet wide by 50 feet long, and is topped by a steep gable roof.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

Loudoun School for Advanced Studies (LSAS) is a private school in Ashburn, Virginia, United States and is designed to inspire and challenge advanced students in grades 6-12.Students from LSAS worked to rehabilitate the historic Ashburn Colored School, which is located on the same property where LSAS has built its new campus.

Broad Run High School is a public secondary school in Ashburn, an unincorporated area in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. Broad Run is part of the Loudoun County Public Schools system (LCPS). It was ranked as the #1 Best Public High School in Loudoun County and the #9 Best Public High School in Virginia by U.S. News in 2020. Originally a rural school serving all of eastern Loudoun County, the growth of the county's population beginning in the mid-1990s has resulted in systematic reduction of Broad Run's attendance area as it spun off eight of the district's high schools from within its original boundaries. Initial surroundings of farm fields have been replaced by housing tracts and the school now possesses one of the most culturally diverse student populations in the region. Broad Run High School is also located in one of the most affluent zip codes and counties in the country with recorded median income of more than $100,000 per household. After a period of high construction in the early 2000s, the number of high schools in the area stayed the same until Briar Woods and Freedom High School opened in 2005, John Champe High school in 2012, Rock Ridge High School in 2014, and Riverside High School completed construction in 2015.In 1969, Loudoun County opened its third public high school amidst corn fields in Ashburn to accommodate the growing student populations resulting from new housing developments in the unincorporated communities in the eastern half of the county. Since then, the county population has increased nearly sevenfold (most of it in the east), straining education budgets, infrastructure, and local politics. For Ashburn, this has resulted in constantly shifting attendance boundaries as new schools are constantly being opened, at all levels, elementary, middle, and high. The area's student demographics have significantly changed as well: Loudoun County's residents are now the country's most affluent (per capita), and its ethnic composition continues to diversify as foreign immigration into Northern Virginia increases. Before the 2011–2012 school year, additional lockers were installed due to increases in the school's population.

The Ashburn Colored School is a former one-room schoolhouse for black students located at 20593 Ashburn Road in Ashburn, Virginia. Constructed in the late 19th century, it was in use until 1958. In the 21st century it has been restored after being dilapidated and vandalized.

Ryan is an unincorporated community in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. The community was once at the corner of Shellhorn, Ryan, and Waxpool roads. It is now a part of the Ashburn communities.

One Loudoun is a census-designated place (CDP) in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. It is a mixed-use development just south of Virginia State Route 7, 29 miles (47 km) northwest of Washington, D.C., and 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Leesburg. One Loudoun was developed since the 2010 census, so it was not recognized as a census-designated place until the 2020 census. The community has an Ashburn mailing address. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,285.

Originally planned to begin operation in 2018, the station is now expected to open in July 2022. Ashburn will be the western terminus of the line; the current western terminus is Wiehle–Reston East station, which opened with phase one of the Silver Line in July 2014.In April 2015, the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority approved the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors' name for the stop.Ashburn station is located at the median of the Dulles Greenway (SR 267) east of Old Ryan Road (SR 772). It will be the furthest station from the Washington city center, and the closest to West Virginia, being only 26.5 miles (42.6 km) by road from Keyes Gap.

The university is made up of the Graduate School of Islamic and Social Sciences (GSISS) and Cordoba School of Professional Studies. GSISS is part of a United States Department of Defense program for training Muslim military chaplains which produced the United States Marine Corps' first Muslim chaplain. GSISS is an affiliate member of the Washington Theological Consortium.

Moorefield is a census-designated place (CDP) in Loudoun County, Virginia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the CDP was named Moorefield Station, and the population was 77. As of 2019, the estimated population was 1,976. Moorefield is a mixed-use development currently in progress, located at the Ashburn station currently under construction at the planned terminus of the Metrorail Silver Line.
