Anthem Preparatory Academy is a public charter elementary/high school in north Phoenix, Arizona. It is operated by Great Hearts Academies. It is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association.

The Anthem Christmas tree is a Christmas tree erected annually at the Outlets North Phoenix, an outlet mall in Anthem, Arizona, approximately 30 mi (48 km) north of downtown Phoenix. The mall's tree is the tallest Christmas tree in the state of Arizona every year, and is often listed as the tallest Christmas tree in the United States.

Anthem is a planned community partially located within Phoenix and partially located within New River, a census-designated place. The community is entirely located in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, within the Phoenix Metropolitan Area. As of the 2020 census, the population of the Anthem was 23,190.

The North Valley Christian Academy (NVCA) is a private, independent Lutheran school located in north Phoenix Arizona, United States. NVCA is affiliated with the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod system of schools throughout the U.S. The academy is accredited by National Lutheran School Accreditation (NLSA), Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), and Cognia. NVCA operates a preschool, lower school, middle school, high school, and international student program.Nate Kretzmann was the founding Executive Director of the school.

The Anthem Veterans Memorial is a monument located in Anthem, Arizona which was dedicated in 2011 to honor the sacrifice and service made by members of the United States Armed Forces. The memorial's five white pillars represent the nation's military branches and are arranged in Department of Defense order of precedence: Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Each pillar has an elliptical opening that slants downward toward the Great Seal of the United States. On Veterans Day – November 11 – the design allows the sun's rays to spotlight the Great Seal at 11:11 am Mountain Standard Time. The design goal was 11:11:11 am, but the variations each year cause the precise alignment over the next 100 years to be between 11:10:58 and 11:11:22.Due to the leap years discrepancy between the official and astronomical calendar the effect can be observed at least one day before or after Veterans Day as well.The award-winning monument is surrounded by 2200 red paving stones engraved with the names of veterans. The red stones, the white pillars and the blue Arizona sky represent the colors in the flag of the United States. Renee Palmer-Jones created the design for the memorial. The engineer for the memorial was James Martin.

Gavilan Peak is northwest of Daisy Mountain, north of Anthem, Arizona and southeast of New River, Arizona. Considering its steepness, it is climbed much less frequently than Daisy Mountain. It was named in the 1880s, when the U.S. Cavalry and the Apaches fought a battle in the area. The name means 'sparrow hawk' in Spanish and 'hawk' in Apache.

Boulder Creek High School is a high school in Anthem, Arizona. It serves grades 9-12 for the Deer Valley Unified School District.

The Daisy Mountain Potential Preserve is a six-square-mile (16 km2) undeveloped Arizona State Trust Land area straddling the communities of Anthem, Desert Hills, New River, and a northern area of Phoenix. It is open to the public with a State Land Department Recreation permit. Residents of the surrounding area enjoy hiking, horse back riding, photography, bicycling, birding, and other recreational activities within the potential preserve. Motorized vehicles are restricted by Arizona State Trust Land and Maricopa County dust regulations There is no water due to limited rainfall over the desert landscape, though intermittent or seasonal washes do exist. Obtaining preserve designation for the Daisy Mountain Arizona State Trust Land is the major focus of the North Country Conservancy.

Wranglers Roost Stagecoach Stop is located in New River, Maricopa County, Arizona. It was a stagecoach stop for a short time in the late 1800s. In 1930, Carl Jesse Myers (called himself Chief Myers) built WR in the 1930s as a dude ranch. The dude ranch was successful all through the 1930s when times were tough. The original rock structure was added onto in the late 1960s and became a resort with a pool, hot tub, restaurant and some hotel accommodations. The current owners, Reid and Heidi Stewart, also rent the structure for the celebrations of weddings.

The Federal Correctional Institution, Phoenix (FCI Phoenix) is a medium-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Arizona. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. The facility also has an adjacent satellite prison camp for minimum-security female offenders. FCI Phoenix is located approximately 25 miles north of downtown Phoenix, also west of Anthem, Arizona but still within the city limits.

New River is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. The population was 17,290 as of the 2020 census, up from 14,952 at the 2010 census.

The Pioneer Living History Museum is located at 3901 W. Pioneer Road in Phoenix, Arizona. The museum, also known as Pioneer Village, has 30 historic original and reconstructed buildings from the 1880s and early 1900s on its 90-acre property.
