The Viper Room is a nightclub and live music venue located on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California, United States. It was established as The Viper Room in 1993 and was partly owned by actor Johnny Depp. The other part owner was Sal Jenco who starred in 21 Jump Street with Depp. The club became known for being a hangout of the young Hollywood elite, and was the site where actor River Phoenix died of a drug overdose on the night before Halloween in 1993. In early 1995, Australian singer and actor Jason Donovan suffered a drug-induced seizure at the club and survived. In November 1997, Australian rock star Michael Hutchence played his last public performance in the Viper Room, a week before his suicide. The Viper Room has undergone several changes in ownership, and continues to host music of multiple genres, including metal, punk rock, and alternative rock. While predominantly known as a music venue, the Viper Room also hosts a lower level below the stage and audience area, which is home to a large whiskey bar.

Jumbo's Clown Room, often shorthanded to Jumbo's, is a "bikini bar" (non-nude strip club) located on Hollywood Boulevard in the Hollywood Hills West neighborhood of Los Angeles, California. The bar opened on July 27, 1970, and later became a strip club in 1982.

The Whisky a Go Go (informally nicknamed "the Whisky") is a historic nightclub in West Hollywood, California, United States. It is located at 8901 Sunset Boulevard on the Sunset Strip, corner North Clark Street, opposite North San Vicente Boulevard, northwest corner. The club has been the host for bands including The Stooges, Alice Cooper (who recorded a live album there in 1969), Parliament-Funkadelic, The Doors, Golden Earring, No Doubt, System of a Down, The Byrds, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Chicago, Germs, Buffalo Springfield, Steppenwolf, Van Halen, Johnny Rivers, X, Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, KISS, Guns N' Roses, Death, AC/DC, Linkin Park, Metallica, Mötley Crüe, and Phil Seymour.

The London Fog was a 1960s nightclub located on the Sunset Strip in what was then unincorporated Los Angeles County, California (now in the city of West Hollywood). It is most notable for being the venue where The Doors had their first regular gigs for several months in early 1966 before becoming the house band at the nearby Whisky a Go Go.

Norma Triangle is a residential neighborhood in West Hollywood, California. It encompasses the area bound by Doheny Drive and Beverly Hills on the west, Sunset Boulevard and Holloway Drive on the north, and Santa Monica Boulevard on the south. The small district has the shape of a right triangle. The neighborhood is walkable and upscale with cafes and restaurants, shopping, nightclubs, parks, and bars in close proximity. The Norma Triangle includes a small portion of the Sunset Strip and a large portion of "Boys' Town" a popular gay district on Santa Monica Blvd. It is also home to the Ticketmaster corporate headquarters, the largest employer in West Hollywood, as well as a number of IAC/InterActiveCorp subsidiaries, including Tinder and CityGrid Media. The Norma Triangle neighborhood is represented by The Norma Triangle Neighborhood Watch with the main goals of creating a tight knit community, ensuring residents feel safe and secure, and voicing neighborhood concerns with the City Council members of West Hollywood. Past neighborhood events include the National Night Out block party.

Pacific Hills School (previously named Bel Air Prep) was a co-educational independent school located in West Hollywood, California, serving the needs of a diverse student population in grades 6-12. The school had a diverse international student population with about 20% of the school's students hailing from eleven countries on six continents. On average each year had about 85 students enrolled at Pacific Hills School with an average class size of 13. Pacific Hills offered 12 AP courses, advanced programs in music, the arts and sciences.In 2018 the school closed permanently.

The Rainbow Bar and Grill is a bar, restaurant and grocery store on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California, United States, adjacent to the border of Beverly Hills, California. Its address is 9015 Sunset Boulevard. The bottom level of the building is the restaurant, The Rainbow Bar and Grill. Upstairs is an exclusive club called "Over the Rainbow", which consists of a full bar, a dance floor, and a DJ booth. The restaurant is next to The Roxy Theatre and 1 OAK; formerly Gazzarri's, Billboard Live, and The Key Club.

The Chamberlain West Hollywood is a hotel located in the centre of West Hollywood, California. The hotel has 114 suites, each with a private balcony and a gas-log fireplace. Dr. Phillip Atiba Goff, a Professor of African-American Studies and Psychology at Yale University, is the Co-founder and CEO. Dr. Tracie L. Keesee, who spent 25 years in the Denver Police Department, co-founded CPE with Dr. Goff and is the President and COO.The Center for Policing Equity is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that collects and analyzes data surrounding police interactions with the community to diagnose disparities in policing. Their mission is “justice through science”, using social science to improve policing and reduce racial disparities.
