Overlook Mountain is the southernmost peak of the Catskill Escarpment in the central Catskill Mountains near Woodstock, New York. The centerpiece of the 590-acre (240 ha) Overlook Mountain Wild Forest area of Catskill Park, the mountain is the site of one of the remaining five Catskill Mountain fire towers and the Overlook Mountain House, a hotel which was built at a higher elevation than any other in the range.

Plattekill Mountain is a mountain in Greene County, New York. It is located in the Catskill Mountains south of Platte Clove. Indian Head Mountain is located west-northwest of Plattekill Mountain.

Indian Head Mountain is a 3,573 ft (1,089 m) mountain located in the southeast corner of Greene County, New York. The mountain, named for the appearance of its profile, is part of the Devil's Path range of the Catskill Mountains. To the northwest, Indian Head is separated from Twin Mountain by Jimmy Dolan Notch; to the southeast, Indian Head is flanked by Plattekill Mountain. Indian Head Mountain stands within the watershed of the Hudson River, which drains into New York Bay. The north side of Indian Head drains into the headwaters of Schoharie Creek, thence into the Mohawk River, and the Hudson River. The southwest and south sides of Indian Head drain into Saw Kill, thence into Esopus Creek, and the Hudson River. The east end of Indian Head is drained by Plattekill Creek in Plattekill Clove, which runs down the Catskill Escarpment, and into Esopus Creek just above Glenerie Falls. Indian Head Mountain is contained within New York's Catskill State Park. The mountain is the easternmost summit on the Devil's Path hiking trail. The Long Path, a 350-mile (560 km) long-distance hiking trail through southeastern New York, is contiguous with this stretch of the Devil's Path.

Platte Clove, sometimes Plattekill Clove, is a narrow and steep valley in the Catskill Mountains of New York. The valley is situated between Kaaterskill High Peak and Roundtop Mountain to the north and Plattekill Mountain and Indian Head Mountain to the south. It is mostly in Greene County, although the lowest, eastern portions are in Ulster County. The stream that runs below is called Plattekill Creek. A few hiking trails go through the Clove including Devil's Path and Huckleberry Point Trail. The area hosts bicycle racing events.

Old Platte Clove Post Office is a historic post office building located at Elka Park in Greene County, New York. It was built about 1885 and is a light wood balloon frame Victorian-era T-shaped structure that served a residence and post office. It was used as a residence and post office from 1888 to 1911.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Karma Triyana Dharmachakra is a Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Woodstock, New York, United States, which serves as the North American seat of the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Karma Kagyu lineage. It was founded in 1976 by the 16th Gyalwa Karmapa with Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche as abbot. He held this position until his death in 2019. The Third Bardor Tulku Rinpoche stayed in the United States to help Khenpo Karthar Rinpoche and Mr. Tenzin Chonyi establish and develop Karma Triyana Dharmachakra.

Big Pink is a house in West Saugerties, New York, which was the location where Bob Dylan and the Band recorded The Basement Tapes, and the Band wrote their album Music from Big Pink.
