Oaklette Historic District is a national historic district located at Chesapeake, Virginia. The district encompasses 30 contributing buildings and 1 contributing object in an early-20th century planned streetcar suburb of Norfolk, Virginia. It is a primarily residential district that developed starting about World War I. The dwellings include representative examples of the Colonial Revival and Bungalow styles. Notable buildings include the Savage House (1915-1919), Pascal Paxson House (1901), George Wesley Jones House (1925), Samuel Paxson House (1906), Colonna Estate Caretaker's House (1925), and the Baker House (1910).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Eastern Branch Elizabeth River is a 9.0-mile-long (14.5 km) tidal river in the Hampton Roads area of the U.S. state of Virginia. The river flows from east to west, starting in Virginia Beach. At its crossing by Interstate 64 it becomes the boundary between Virginia Beach and the city of Norfolk, and farther west it is the boundary between Norfolk and the city of Chesapeake. For its final 3 miles (5 km) it is entirely within the city of Norfolk.

The Chesterfield Heights Historic District is a national historic district located at Norfolk, Virginia. It encompasses 402 contributing buildings, 1 contributing site, and 1 contributing structure in a cohesive residential neighborhood located just to the northeast of downtown Norfolk. It was platted in 1904, and largely developed between 1915 and 1950. There are notable examples of Queen Anne and Italianate style residential architecture. Notable non-residential buildings include the St. Luke's Holiness Church of Christ's Disciples (c. 1950), Monticello Baptist Church (1925), and the Garrett Community Church (1940).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

Ballentine/Broad Creek is a Tide Light Rail station in Norfolk, Virginia. It opened in August 2011, and is situated just west of Ballentine Boulevard. The station is adjacent to the east end of Norfolk State University and several residential neighborhoods.

Ingleside Road is a Tide Light Rail station in Norfolk, Virginia. It opened in August 2011 and is situated along Ingleside Road. The station primarily serves residents of adjacent neighborhoods.

Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall is a 4,500-seat multi-purpose arena in Norfolk, Virginia, located to the northeast of Dick Price Stadium on the eastern edge of Norfolk State University. It was built in 1982 to replace Gill Gymnasium as home to the Norfolk State Spartans men's and women's basketball and women's volleyball teams, as well as housing athletics offices and hosting the school's ROTC program. The seating bowl is divided into four sides, with three divided levels of seating colored green and gold, the school's colors. The hall is named for Joseph G. Echols, who is credited by the university as the person most responsible for the expansion of the school's athletics department to its current extents. It hosted the 1997 MEAC men's basketball tournament.

Marty L. Miller Field is a baseball venue in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. It is home to the Norfolk State Spartans baseball team of the NCAA Division I Northeast Conference. The venue is named for former Norfolk State baseball coach Marty Miller. Built in 1997, it has a capacity of 1,500 spectators.

Norfolk State University (NSU) is a public historically black university in Norfolk, Virginia. It is a member of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund and Virginia High-Tech Partnership.

NSU is a Tide Light Rail station in Norfolk, Virginia. It opened in August 2011 and is situated adjacent to Norfolk State University, just west of Brambleton Avenue. It is the only Tide station that is elevated, and is accessible by stairs and elevator.

Bethany Baptist Church of South Norfolk, Virginia is a prominent Black church in Hampton Roads, Virginia, USA. Founded in the late 1950s to early 1960s, it has since had a major influence on the local black community and others. It has become one of the largest churches in the Hampton Roads area.

St. Peter's Episcopal Church, now known as The New Saint James Holiness Church of Christ Disciples, is a historic Episcopal church in Norfolk, Virginia, United States. It is a frame, gable-roofed building with two contiguous sections: 1) the sanctuary built in 1886; 2) and the fellowship hall (originally called the "parish house") built in 1912. The church building is in the Gothic Revival style. The building features a small gable-roofed arched entrance door and large and small arched stained-glass windows. St. Peter's is one of six mission churches that descended from St. Paul's. St. Peter's Episcopal Church operated at this location until 1959, when it was transferred to the African-American trustees of Garretts Independent Community Church. In 1967, St. Peter's was transferred to the trustees of what come to be known as Saint James Holiness Church of Christ Disciples.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.

Booker T. Washington High School, also known as Booker T, BTW or the Academy Of Visual and Performing Arts, is a public high school located in Norfolk, Virginia. It is administered by Norfolk Public Schools system. The school colors are maroon, white and gold. The school is called “The Mighty Booker T” and the “Fighting Bookers" in Norfolk, Virginia.
