Palmview is a locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. Although historically rural, it is becoming increasingly suburban. In the 2021 census, Palmview had a population of 5,236 people.It is home to Aussie World.

Chancellor State College is a public, co-educational, day school located in the suburb of Sippy Downs, Queensland, Australia. Chancellor State School opened in 1997. In 2004, it became Chancellor State College offering both primary and secondary education. As of 2017, there are 2889 students from prep through to year 12. Students and staff are spread across two campuses, a Primary on Scholars Drive and a Secondary on Sippy Downs Drive; Either side of the University of the Sunshine Coast. Chancellor State College has links to the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Siena Catholic College, Queensland, Australia is a co-educational Catholic day college situated at Sippy Downs on Queensland's Sunshine Coast. Opened in 1997, it caters for students in Years 7–12 and has an enrolment of approximately 1000 students. The college shares its campus with Siena Primary School, a Prep to Year 6 school. The College is an Archdiocesan College administered by Brisbane Catholic Education and has close links with the Stella Maris Parish, having S. Catherine's Catholic Church situated on campus.

Meridan Plains is a locality on the north-western edge of the Caloundra urban area in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. Traditionally a rural area, the locality is attracting residential development from the expansion of Caloundra. In the 2021 census, Meridan Plains had a population of 4,589 people.

The University of the Sunshine Coast (UniSC) is a public university based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. After opening with 524 students in 1996 as the Sunshine Coast University College, it was later renamed the University of the Sunshine Coast in 1999. The university has a flagship campus at Sippy Downs on the Sunshine Coast, with more campuses at Hervey Bay on the Fraser Coast, Gympie, and Caboolture. In 2020, USC opened a full-service campus at Petrie in Moreton Bay. Undergraduate and postgraduate (coursework and higher degree by research) programs are available, with study areas divided into seven disciplines: business, IT and tourism; creative industries, design and communication; education; engineering and science; health, nursing and sport sciences; humanities, psychology and social sciences; and law and criminology. The university is listed on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students. In the 2020 Student Experience Survey, UniSC was ranked within the top five universities in Australia for teaching quality, and in the top six for the overall student experience.

Tanawha (pronounced /'tæn-uh-wuh/) is a rural locality in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. The name Tanawha is believed to be a Māori language word referring to a legendary New Zealand monster. For statistical purposes, it is regarded as a subub of Buderim.

UniSC Arena (previously known as USC Stadium) is a multi-purpose indoor sports facility located on the Sippy Downs campus of the University of the Sunshine Coast in Queensland. The stadium hosts netball, basketball, volleyball and futsal events for professional athletes and students. The stadium is primarily utilised by the Sunshine Coast Lightning in the Suncorp Super Netball league, who play home matches on the main court and are based at the campus.

Kawana is an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland. Based on the Sunshine Coast, the district has been held by both sides of politics over its short history.

Sunshine Coast Theological College (SCTC), formerly known as Westminster Theological College, was a Bible college in Buderim, Queensland which was affiliated with the Australian College of Theology until SCTC's closure in 2016. The college had offered a Bachelor of Christian Studies, an associate degree in Theology, advanced diplomas and diplomas. The principal was Terry Clarke.SCTC was a multi-denominational Bible College that was Reformed in its doctrinal ethos. All of the faculty and board members subscribed to one of the following Reformed confessions of faith: the Westminster Confession of Faith, the Three Forms of Unity, the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession, or the Thirty-Nine Articles of the Anglican Church.

The Mooloolah River National Park is a nationally protected area located on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. It covers an area of 830.9 hectares and is bordered by the Mooloolah River to the east, Claymore and Dixon Roads to the west, and the Lower Mooloolah River Environmental Reserve to the south. It is bisected by the Sunshine Motorway with the northern, 161.93 hectare component of the Park being a later addition. The Park was initially vacant crown land prior to national park designation in 1960. Surrounding land uses include livestock grazing, urban development and the campus of the University of the Sunshine Coast. It is the second largest mainland park on the coastal lowlands in South East Queensland after Noosa National Park and represents an example of low-lying coastal floodplain distinctive of the region.The Jowarra section of the Park is located at the north western corner of the intersection of Steve Irwin Way (formerly Glasshouse Mountains Road) and the Bruce Highway. It is a remnant of coastal rainforest and cut off from the main body of the Park with the only connection via the Mooloolah River itself. The Park is used for conservation and study purposes and recreationally by bushwalkers and bird watchers.
