The Total Museum of Contemporary Art (TMCA) is a non-profit museum in the Pyeongchang-dong district of Seoul, South Korea. The museum, previously named the Total Outdoor Museum, was the first private art institute in South Korea.

Sukjeongmun (Korean: 숙정문; Hanja: 肅靖門; also known as North Gate) is one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is also known as Bukdaemun (북대문; 北大門, “North Big Gate”). It was built north of Seoul behind Gyeongbokgung Place. It was rarely used. It was only used in ceremonious and symbolic functions. In order to visit, identification such as a passport is required for access.

The Fortress Wall of Seoul (Hanja: 서울 漢陽都城; Hangul: 서울 한양도성;), or literally the Seoul City Wall is a series of walls made of stone, wood and other materials, built to protect the city of Seoul against invaders. The wall was first built in 1396 to defend and show the boundaries of the city, surrounding Hanyang (Hanja: 漢陽; Hangul: 한양 the old name for Seoul) in the Joseon Dynasty. At that time, it was called Hansung (Hanja: 漢城; Hangul: 한성). The wall stretches 18.6 km along the ridge of Seoul's four inner mountains, Bugaksan, Inwangsan, Naksan and Namsan. At present, a 12-km section of the wall is designated as Historic Site No. 10 (1963) and is protected accordingly, along with the gates, water gates, and signal fire mounds. The northern, eastern, and southern sections of Mt.Nam (Namsan section) walls have undergone extensive restoration work, having sustained damage or been entirely destroyed during Japanese imperial rule (1910–1945).

The Whanki Museum is a private art museum in Jongno-gu, in central Seoul, South Korea. It was established by the Whanki Foundation mainly to exhibit and commemorate the art of Whanki Kim, one of Korea's foremost abstract painters. The museum is located in Buam-dong, close to Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk-gu, where Whanki Kim and his wife spent many years. The atmosphere and natural environment of the two places have much in common. The museum building was designed by architect Kyu-seung Woo. Construction began in 1990, and the museum opened in November, 1992.The bulk of the collection is displayed in the main building which was specially designed to showcase Whanki Kim's art. Special exhibitions are held in Annex 1, which includes a café and art shop on the ground floor. The latest addition, Annex 2, is used for lectures.

Changuimun (Hangul 창의문, Hanja 彰義門; also known as Northwest Gate) is one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is also known as Buksomun (북소문, “North Small Gate”) and Jahamun (자하문).

Gilsangsa (Korean: 길상사; Hanja: 吉祥寺) is a Buddhist temple in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk District, Seoul, South Korea. The temple is of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It was established on December 14, 1997, and is located on the Samgaksan mountain.The temple is relatively new. It was established via a donation of 100 billion won from Kim Yeong-hwa. It has a seven-story stone pagoda. It participates in the Templestay program, where guests can participate in activities at the temple and experience Korean Buddhist culture.When the Mayor of Seoul Park Won-soon went missing, shortly before his 2020 suicide, his last mobile phone signal was near the temple.
