Samcheonggak

Sukjeongmun (Korean: 숙정문; Hanja: 肅靖門; also known as North Gate) is one of the Eight Gates of Seoul in the Fortress Wall of Seoul, South Korea, which surrounded the city in the Joseon Dynasty. The gate is also known as Bukdaemun (북대문; 北大門, “North Big Gate”). It was built north of Seoul behind Gyeongbokgung Place. It was rarely used. It was only used in ceremonious and symbolic functions. In order to visit, identification such as a passport is required for access.

The Fortress Wall of Seoul (Hanja: 서울 漢陽都城; Hangul: 서울 한양도성;), or literally the Seoul City Wall is a series of walls made of stone, wood and other materials, built to protect the city of Seoul against invaders. The wall was first built in 1396 to defend and show the boundaries of the city, surrounding Hanyang (Hanja: 漢陽; Hangul: 한양 the old name for Seoul) in the Joseon Dynasty. At that time, it was called Hansung (Hanja: 漢城; Hangul: 한성). The wall stretches 18.6 km along the ridge of Seoul's four inner mountains, Bugaksan, Inwangsan, Naksan and Namsan. At present, a 12-km section of the wall is designated as Historic Site No. 10 (1963) and is protected accordingly, along with the gates, water gates, and signal fire mounds. The northern, eastern, and southern sections of Mt.Nam (Namsan section) walls have undergone extensive restoration work, having sustained damage or been entirely destroyed during Japanese imperial rule (1910–1945).

Bugaksan is a mountain north of Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, also known as Baegaksan. Inwangsan, Naksan, and Namsan are the mountains that surround the Seoul Basin. The bedrock is granite and is about 342m high.

Waryong Park (Korean: 와룡공원; Hanja: 臥龍公園) is a park in Myeongnyun-dong, Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea. It was founded in 1984. It is adjacent to the mountain Bugaksan. The park is so named because it resembles a dragon (용/룡) laying down.The park was renovated in 2023, with safety railing and additional flora installed in the park.

Jongno District (Korean: 종로구, romanized: Jongno-gu) is a district (Korean: 구, romanized: gu) in central Seoul, South Korea. It takes its name from a major local street, Jongno, which means "Bell Road".

Gilsangsa (Korean: 길상사; Hanja: 吉祥寺) is a Buddhist temple in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk District, Seoul, South Korea. The temple is of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism. It was established on December 14, 1997, and is located on the Samgaksan mountain.The temple is relatively new. It was established via a donation of 100 billion won from Kim Yeong-hwa. It has a seven-story stone pagoda. It participates in the Templestay program, where guests can participate in activities at the temple and experience Korean Buddhist culture.When the Mayor of Seoul Park Won-soon went missing, shortly before his 2020 suicide, his last mobile phone signal was near the temple.

Seongbuk-dong is a dong, neighbourhood of Seongbuk-gu in Seoul, South Korea.Seongbuk-dong is a village located in the north of Seoul, nestled in the hills overlooking the city. A large proportion of the residences are owned by wealthy households. It is also where many ambassadorial residences are located (among them, the residences of the Chinese, Australian and Canadian ambassadors).

Samcheong-dong (Korean: 삼청동) is a dong (neighbourhood) of Jongno District, Seoul, South Korea. It lies north of Jongno and east of Gyeongbokgung. This hilly neighborhood is characterized by numerous small art galleries, shops, and restaurants. Visitors to the area can see restored hanok, Korean traditional-style houses. The Board of Audit and Inspection of Korea is located here. It is also home to several foreign government offices including the Vietnamese consulate.

The Gansong Art Museum, located in Seongbuk-dong, Seongbuk District, Seoul, South Korea, is the first modern private museum of Korea and was founded by Jeon Hyeongpil (전형필 全鎣弼) in 1938. The museum was named after the pen name of the founder, Gansong (간송 澗松). The aim of the foundation was to prevent Japanese removal of Korean cultural properties, during the Japanese occupation. At times, numerous Korean cultural properties were taken to Japan, such as Goryeo porcelains, statues of Buddha made in Silla kingdom, documents and books made in Joseon dynasty. Jeon Hyeongpil contributed at his own expense to protect Korean culture and art. The museum holds many top-rated antique pieces of art such as Hunmin jeongeum (No. 70 National Treasure), Donggukjeongun Book 1, 2 (No. 71 National Treasure), Geumdong gyemimyeong samjonbul (No. 72 National Treasure), Hyewon pungsokdo.

Cheong Wa Dae (Korean: 청와대; Hanja: 靑瓦臺; lit. 'Cyan-tile Pavilion'), also known as the Blue House, was the executive office and official residence the president of South Korea, located in Jongno-gu of the capital Seoul. Cheong Wa Dae is in fact a complex of multiple buildings, built largely in the traditional Korean architectural style with some modern architectural elements and facilities. The Blue House was one of the most protected official residences in Asia. Upon the inauguration of president Yoon Suk-yeol in May 2022, Cheong Wa Dae was relieved of its duties as the official residence and executive office of the president and was fully converted to a public park. Built upon the site of the royal garden of the Joseon Dynasty (1392–1910), Cheong Wa Dae now consists of the Main Office Hall Bon-gwan (Korean: 본관; Hanja: 本館; lit. "Main House"), the Presidential Residence, the State Reception House Yeongbin-gwan (Korean: 영빈관; Hanja: 迎賓館; lit. "Welcome-Guest House"), the Chunchu-gwan (Korean: 춘추관; Hanja: 春秋館; lit. "Spring-Autumn House") Press Hall, and the Secretariat Buildings. The entire complex covers approximately 250,000 square metres or 62 acres.

Taejae University (TAEJAE, Korean: 태재대학교; RR: Taejae Daehakgyo) is a distance learning private university headquartered in Seoul, South Korea. The university was established in 2023 by Chang-Gul Cho, the founder of South Korean corporation Hanssem. All students participate in the Global Engagement Program (GEP) at residential campuses in South Korea, the US, China, Russia, and Japan.

Bukchon Hanok Village is a Korean traditional village in Seoul with a long history located on the top of a hill between Gyeongbok Palace, Changdeok Palace and Jongmyo Royal Shrine. The traditional village is composed of many alleys, hanok and is preserved to show a 600-year-old urban environment.
