Wergea (Dutch: Warga) is a village in Leeuwarden municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. It had a population of around 1,560 in January 2017.There are two windmills in the village, De Hempenserpoldermolen and a paaltjasker.

Miedum is a hamlet in Leeuwarden municipality in the province of Friesland, the Netherlands. The height of the leaning tower of Miedum is 14 metres (45.93 feet). The approximate tilt at the top of the tower is 115 centimetres (3 ft 9 in). Relatively speaking, it is the most displaced church tower of the Netherlands, and the second most leaning tower of Europe after Suurhusen.

The Kalverdijkje is an indoor sports complex in Leeuwarden, Netherlands. The complex has a swimming pool, and hosts basketball, volleyball and korfball matches. It is the home arena of professional basketball club Aris Leeuwarden of the Dutch Basketball League. The Kalverdijkje has two halls, the Egelantierhal and the Schieringenhal; the latter is used most. Aris Leeuwarden plays its home games in this hall, which has a capacity of 1,700 people. Before its expansion in 2014, it had a capacity of 1,000 people.On 29 September 2017, the Donar basketball team from played one Basketball Champions League qualifying game in the Kalverdijkje against CB Estudiantes.

LWD Basket is a Dutch professional basketball club based in Leeuwarden. Founded as Aris Leeuwarden in 2004, the club competes in the BNXT League, and has competed at the highest national level since its foundation. The team plays its home games at the Kalverdijkje. The most notable successes are reaching the DBL finals in 2013 and the NBB Cup final in 2020.

The Protestant church of Wyns or Saint Vitus Church is a religious building in Wyns, Netherlands, one of the medieval churches in Friesland. The nave and quintuple closed choir date from c. 1200 and are built out of red brick. The building has a tower that dates from the 13th century and a pipe organ that was built in 1899 by Bakker & Timmenga from Leeuwarden.The church is located on the Wijns 31 and was once a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint Vitus but became a Protestant church after the Protestant reformation. It is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 35690, and is rated with a very high historical value.

Camminghabuurstermolen was a smock mill in Leeuwarden, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1850. The restored mill was burnt out in an arson attack in 1994, and the remains were finally demolished in 2000.

The Cambuurstadion (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈkɑmbyːr ˌstaːdijɔn]) is a football stadium in the east side of the city of Leeuwarden, Netherlands. It is used for the home matches of SC Cambuur. The stadium is able to hold 10,500 people and it opened on 12 September 1936. The club has proposed plans for a new stadium on the west side of the city, which will cost €35 million.

De Bullemolen English: The Executioner's Mill is a smock mill in Lekkum, Friesland, Netherlands which was built in 1825. The mill has been restored to working order and is listed as a Rijksmonument, number 24505.

Leeuwarden Achter de Hoven was a railway station serving eastern Leeuwarden, Netherlands. The station was first opened on 5 July 1915 but was closed between 19 May 1940 and 3 October 1954. It is located on the Harlingen–Nieuweschans railway between Leeuwarden and Groningen. Train services were operated by Arriva. As of 2015, most trains between Groningen and Leeuwarden do not stop at the station, and it is not shown on the standard NS map. There was one departure per day in the direction of Leeuwarden and two departures per day in the direction of Groningen.The station was on an industrial park, and was used almost exclusively by commuters: no buses stopped around the station, and there are hardly any houses in the area that could benefit from the station Although there is only one track, there were two platforms, one in bayonet position, where the train stopped as usual after the level crossing The platforms of Achter de Hoven were relatively far apart, namely a few hundred meters, with the level crossing with Julianastraat and a second level crossing that is located on the FrieslandCampina site. Leeuwarden Station Achter de Hoven was the least used station in the Netherlands until its closure, with only 10 people boarding or departing per day. On August 31, 2018, the last train stopped at this station.
