Falls of the Neuse Manufacturing Company, also known as the Manteo Manufacturing Company and Forest Manufacturing Company, is a historic paper mill complex located at Falls, Wake County, North Carolina. The main mill building was built from1854–1855, and is a three-story, quarried granite block building measuring 195 feet long and 54 feet wide. Located on the property is the stone mill dam, measuring about 400 feet wide and roughly 6 feet tall, and the one-story picker room, measuring 53 feet square. The mill operated as a paper mill until 1896, and later housed a cotton mill and warehouse.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

The Capehart House is a Queen Anne style house built circa 1898 by Charles P. Snuggs for Lucy Catherine Capehart and her second husband, B. A. Capehart. Located on 424 North Blount Street in Raleigh, Wake County, North Carolina, it is one of the best examples of Queen Anne style architecture still standing in Raleigh. The Capehart House has an irregular skyline made of towers, turrets, dormers, and pediments, and luxurious facades ornamented with stained glass and decorative wooden designs.After Capehart's death, H. H. Crocker owned the home, which was used for apartments, until 1947. The state bought the house in 1971, and has been used as governmental office space since. In 1979, the house was moved from its former location at 403 North Wilmington Street to 424 North Blount Street. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.

Wakefield Crossing Shopping Center is a grocery-anchored shopping center located in Raleigh, North Carolina. The center contains a number of large and small businesses, including grocery stores, restaurants, and more. In February 2023, the shopping center was sold to the Washington, D.C.-based firm Granite Canyon Partners for US$14.3 million, and currently maintain the center.

Wakefield Dairy Complex is a historic commercial building associated with the Royall Mill and located at Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. The complex was built in 1934, and consists of an 8,000 square foot, four-story, dairy barn with silos; a bull barn; and a calf barn. It was built to house John Sprunt Hill's Guernsey dairy herd.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.

The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation is a private golf club located within the planned community of Wakefield Plantation in Raleigh, North Carolina. Formerly named TPC Wakefield Plantation as a member of the Tournament Players Club network operated by the PGA Tour, it was purchased by McConnell Golf in 2011.The Hale Irwin designed championship golf course, built adjacent to Falls Lake, opened in 2000. It is accompanied by a par 33, 9-hole course. The Country Club at Wakefield Plantation is the home of the Rex Hospital Open, formerly the SAS Carolina Classic, a tournament on the second tier Web.com Tour.

Thompson House, also known as the William Thompson House, is a historic plantation house located near Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. It was built about 1853, and is a two-story, three-bay Greek Revival-style frame dwelling. It is sheathed in weatherboard, sits on a fieldstone foundation, and has four brick chimneys, two on each side. Also on the property is a contributing 1+1⁄2-story barn (c. 1853). The house and barn were moved to its present location in 2004.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Pullen House is a historic Victorian plantation house located in northern Raleigh, North Carolina. The house was the center of a small plantation in Wake County that was owned by the Pullen family. Richard Stanhope Pullen, a local businessman and philanthropist who funded the construction of Pullen Park, was born here.

The house has two one-story rear additions and exterior end chimneys. The front facade features a full height portico added about 1940.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Neuse is an unincorporated community in Neuse Township, Wake County, North Carolina, United States. Located on the Neuse River, it is approximately nine miles north-northeast of downtown Raleigh.

Purefoy–Dunn Plantation is a historic plantation and national historic district located near Wake Forest, Wake County, North Carolina. The Greek Revival style plantation house was built about 1814 and remodeled about 1850. It is a two-story, L-shaped, heavy timber frame building. It has a low hipped roof and is sheathed in clapboards. The front portico was removed in the 1960s or early 1970s. Also on the property is a contributing mid-19th century gable-roofed frame smokehouse.
