WNBH (1340 AM) is a New Bedford, Massachusetts radio station, owned by Hall Communications and currently broadcasting a classic hits format. The station's branding refers to its FM translator station, W267CY. The station is also carried on the HD2 sub-channel of sister station WCTK.Federal Communications Commission (FCC) records list WNBH's first license date as January 9, 1924. However, the station has generally traced its founding to May 1921, when one of WNBH's original owners, Irving Vermilya, began making broadcasts over an amateur radio station.

The Tucker Farm Historic District is a historic district in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. It encompasses a farm property which has been worked since the 17th century, and several houses, one of which may have a portion dating to the ownership of Henry Tucker, the land's first English settler. It also includes a remnant of what was once a major Native trail and public right of way connecting Plymouth, Massachusetts, and Newport, Rhode Island.The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988.

The Buttonwood Park Zoo, located in New Bedford, Massachusetts, is a zoo located in the center of Buttonwood Park. Opened in 1894, it is the third-oldest zoo in New England and the 12th-oldest zoo in the United States. Located on a 7 acres (2.8 ha) campus, the zoo is owned and operated by the City of New Bedford, with the support of the Buttonwood Park Zoological Society. It is located on part of the Buttonwood Park Historic District, and federally designated on the National Register of Historic Places. The zoo is home to more 250 different animals made up of more than 80 different species of animals, including many that are rare and endangered. The zoo has played a vital role in the conservation of endangered animals and is a participant in the Cape Cod Stranding Network and Species Survival Plan.

Buttonwood Park Historic District is a historic district on Kempton Street, Rockdale Avenue, Hawthorne Street and Brownell Avenue in New Bedford, Massachusetts. Its focal point is Buttonwood Park, a 97-acre (39 ha) municipal park planned by Charles Eliot in the 1890s, and part of its surrounding neighborhood. The neighborhood was developed in the first decades of the 20th century as a complement to the park, and contains a fine selection of Colonial Revival and Craftsman style houses. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2000.

This could have been because Bartholomew Gosnold, the first European to explore the land, sailed to America on a ship from Dartmouth in England. It could have been also named Dartmouth to commemorate when the Pilgrims stopped in Dartmouth for ship repairs.Catholic churches in Dartmouth are part of the Diocese of Fall River in the New Bedford Deanery. Catholic Churches in Dartmouth include St. Marys Parish which was founded in 1930 as a country Parish before growing to fulfill the needs of the town. St. Julie Billiart Parish which was established in 1969 and is Directly Adjacent to Bishop Stang High School, a Catholic High School. And St. George Parish in Westport, Massachusetts also covers portions of the town of Dartmouth and was founded in 1914.

The Dartmouth Mall is a one-level shopping mall located off US 6 and Faunce Corner Road in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, in the United States. Currently anchoring the mall are Aldi, Burlington, JCPenney, and Macy's. The mall also features a food court and movie theater. It is managed by the Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust.

Northeast Airlines Flight 285 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Boston's Logan International Airport to New York's LaGuardia Airport with stops in Hyannis, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and New Bedford that crashed on September 15, 1957, while trying to land at New Bedford. Seven passengers and two crew members were killed in the crash and three passengers later died from injuries. It was Northeast's second fatal crash of the year (the first was Northeast Airlines Flight 823) and was followed by another deadly crash the following year.

The Oak Grove Cemetery is a historic cemetery on Parker Street in New Bedford, Massachusetts. It consists of two parcels, separated by Parker Street, northwest of the city's central business district. The older portion of the cemetery, that south of Parker Street, was established in 1843, while the northern section was acquired and developed between 1870 and 1896. Most of the cemetery is laid out in the then-fashionable rural cemetery style of winding lanes, although the northernmost section has a more open layout, made partly due to complaints about the cluttered nature of the rural cemetery style.The cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.

Shawmut Diner is an historic diner formerly located at 943 Shawmut Avenue in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The diner was built in 1953. In 1983 the Paleologos family bought and updated the diner. The diner was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. It has been featured on the Food Channel. The Shawmut Diner closed for business on March 31, 2014. It was moved to the Bristol County House of Corrections in nearby Dartmouth, Massachusetts in May 2014. It has been replaced by a Cumberland Farms.
