Jyllinge

Eskilsø Monastery (Danish: Eskilsø Kloster) was an Augustinian monastery on Eskilsø Island in Roskilde Fjord.

Eskilsø is a small Danish island located in the Roskilde fjord, Frederikssund Municipality, northern Zealand. In the 12th century, there was an Augustinian monastery, Eskilsø Monastery, on the island. The ruins of the monastery church are still visible.

Gundsømagle is a town located two kilometres east of Jyllinge and Roskilde Fjord in the northern part of Roskilde Municipality, approximately 40 kilometres west of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Gundsø was a municipality (Danish, kommune) in Roskilde county on the island of Zealand (Sjælland) in East Denmark. 1 January 2007 the municipality of Gundsø merged with the municipality of Roskilde and the municipality of Ramsø as a result of the structural reform. The area of Gundsø municipality was 64 km2, with a total population of 15,749 (2005). Its last mayor was Evan Lynnerup, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. Towns in the municipality included Herringløse, Gundsølille, Gundsømagle, Jyllinge (the municipality's largest town), Østrup Holme, and Ågerup. The municipality was created in 1970 due to a kommunalreform ("Municipality Reform") that combined a number of existing parishes: Gundsømagle Parish Hvedstrup Parish Jyllinge Parish Kirkerup Parish Ågerup Parish On January 1, 2007, Gundsø municipality ceased to exist due to Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was combined with existing Ramsø and Roskilde municipalities to form the new Roskilde municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 212 km2 and a total population of 79,441 (2005). The new municipality belongs to Region Sjælland ("Zealand Region").

Ølstykke Stationsby, commonly known as Ølstykke, is a town in Egedal Municipality, serving as its municipal seat. Until 1 January 2010 Ølstykke was an independent city, but today it has merged with Stenløse and forms the urban area of Ølstykke-Stenløse with 23,130 inhabitants. The town is on the northern part of the island of Zealand (Sjælland), in eastern Denmark.

Ølstykke is a former municipality in Region Hovedstaden. The former Ølstykke municipality covered an area of 29 km2, and had a total population of 15,358 (2005). Its last mayor was Svend Kjærgaard, a member of the Venstre (Liberal Party) political party. On 1 January 2007, Ølstykke municipality ceased to exist as the result of Kommunalreformen ("The Municipality Reform" of 2007). It was merged with Ledøje-Smørum and Stenløse municipalities to form the new Egedal municipality. This created a municipality with an area of 126 km2 and a total population of 39,267 (2005).

Risø DTU National Laboratory for Sustainable Energy (Danish: Risø DTU Nationallaboratoriet for Bæredygtig Energi) is a scientific research organization north of Roskilde, Denmark. The Risø DTU organisation was founded in 1956 and dissolved on 1 January 2012. The location is now known as DTU Risø Campus and the buildings are home to a number of institutes under the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and separately is also home to Aarhus University Dept of Environmental Science and part of Dept of Bioscience. Risø covers an area of more than 2.6 square kilometres.

The Skuldelev ships are five original Viking ships recovered from the waterway of Peberrenden at Skuldelev, c. 20 km (12 mi) north of Roskilde in Denmark. In 1962, the remains of the submerged ships were excavated in the course of four months. The recovered pieces constitute five types of Viking ships and have all been dated to the 11th century. They are thought to have been an early form of blockship, i.e. ships that were scuttled to block potential invasions from the sea. The numbering of the ships is slightly confusing as when the remains were unearthed, they were thought to comprise six ships, but after "Skuldelev 2" and "Skuldelev 4" were later discovered to be parts of one ship, it was decided not to renumber the other vessels.Together, the five Skuldelev ships provide a good source of information about the shipbuilding traditions of the late Viking Age and are now exhibited at the Viking Ship Museum in Roskilde. The museum has built accurate reconstructions of all five of the original Skuldelev ships; some of them have also been reconstructed by other groups across the world.

Ølstykke station is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network of Copenhagen, Denmark.The station is located where the railway to Frederikssund crosses the main road between Roskilde and Hillerød. This puts it quite a distance away from the old village of Ølstykke, but a new station town grew up around the station after the railway opened in 1879. Since 2002, the area around the old village has been served by a station of its own, Gammel Toftegård. Gammel Toftegård station later changed name to Egedal station. Vinge station 3.3 km (2 miles) northwest of Ølstykke station opened 14 December 2020. It is served by the C line.

The Kingdom of Elleore is a micronation located on the island of Elleore in the Roskilde Fjord, north of Roskilde on the Danish island of Zealand.

Egedal is a station on the Frederikssund radial of the S-train network in Copenhagen, Denmark. In 2011 it changed name from Gl. Toftegård Station to Egedal station.

Ølstykke-Stenløse is a city located in the Egedal Municipality, in the Capital Region of Denmark. Both Ølstykke and Stenløse has been counted as one city by Statistics Denmark from 1 January 2010, and it forms the eastern part of the city closest to Copenhagen, 25 kilometers in a straight line northwest of City Hall Square, as well as Gammel Ølstykke and Ølstykke Stationsby in the west. It is Denmark's 29th largest city (2023), with a population of 23,130 (2023), and the largest city in Egedal Municipality.
