Durango is a hotel and casino under construction in Rhodes Ranch, a community in the Las Vegas Valley. It is being built along Durango Drive, beside the Las Vegas Beltway. The resort will include an 83,178 sq ft (7,727.5 m2) casino, 211 rooms in a 15-story tower, and several restaurants. Station Casinos purchased the property from developer Jim Rhodes in 2000. Four years later, the company announced plans for a hotel-casino, known then as Durango Station. The 1,000-room project was met with opposition from area residents, who disagreed with its size and its proposed location near a new elementary school. The project was approved by the Clark County Commission despite the opposition, although Station did not plan to begin construction for several years. The company later announced plans to begin building a scaled-down version of Durango Station in 2009, with an opening in 2011. However, before the start of construction, the project was delayed indefinitely due to the Great Recession. In 2021, Station's parent company, Red Rock Resorts, announced plans to proceed with the project once again. Construction began in early 2022, and Durango is expected to open in October 2023.

St. Rose Dominican Hospital – San Martín Campus is a non-profit hospital owned and operated by Dignity Health and is located in Enterprise, Nevada. The hospital provides 147 beds all located in private rooms. In late 2006, the San Martín Campus opened in the southwest corner of the valley becoming the third St. Rose Dominican facility in Southern Nevada and expanded the system's reach outside of Henderson.

The Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center is a private, for-profit hospital owned by the Hospital Corporation of America and operated by the Sunrise Healthcare System. The 265-bed hospital is located in Spring Valley, Nevada. It is an accredited Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke Center, and was named the Best Hospital in Las Vegas in 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2019.

Rhodes Ranch is a master-planned community and golf course located in Spring Valley, Nevada, approximately six miles southwest of the Las Vegas Strip. It was developed by Jim Rhodes. The community was announced in 1996, after Rhodes gained 1,330 acres, some of it through the Bureau of Land Management. At the time, much of the surrounding area was rural, and nearby residents opposed the development of the land. Despite the opposition, the Rhodes Ranch project was approved and began construction. The Rhodes Ranch Golf Club opened to the public on November 6, 1997. The course is 162 acres, and was designed by Ted Robinson. Rhodes Companies filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2009, and Rhodes Ranch was turned over to creditors. Dunhill Homes was subsequently chosen to continue development of the community. Century Communications purchased it in 2014.

Cowabunga Canyon Waterpark is a water park in Spring Valley, Nevada. The park was part of Village Roadshow Theme Parks' Wet'n'Wild chain of water parks located across the world. The park opened in May 2013 and is located at 7055 S. Fort Apache Road, southwest of the I-215 and Sunset Road interchange. The water park reopened June 22, 2020 with enhanced COVID-19 safety protocols. The Park was purchased by Pyek Group in March 2022. Pyek Group also owns Cowabunga Bay and re-branded the former Wet 'n' Wild water park as Cowabunga Canyon.

The Gramercy is a mixed-use development project in Spring Valley, Nevada, west of the Las Vegas Strip. It includes two office buildings and 160 apartment units. Gemstone Development began construction of the project, originally known as ManhattanWest, in 2007. The project initially was to include condominiums, retail, and office space. Construction was suspended in December 2008, because of financial problems. ManhattanWest was sold in 2013, and construction resumed, with the project now known as The Gramercy. It opened in November 2014. An unfinished nine-story condominium tower was imploded in February 2015, as completing it would have been too costly.

KNIH (970 AM) is a radio station licensed to Paradise, Nevada and serves the Las Vegas Valley. The station is owned and operated by Relevant Radio, Inc. and broadcasts a Roman Catholic religious radio format, including call-in shows, discussions and broadcasts of the Catholic mass. The call letters refer to Nevada Immaculate Heart. The station broadcasts at 5000 watts by day. But to avoid interfering with other stations on AM 970, it reduces power at night to 500 watts. The transmitter is located off South Rainbow Boulevard near West Landberg Avenue in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas–Clark County Library District (LVCCLD) Is an independent government agency. Operations are overseen by a ten-member Board of Trustees, five appointed by the Clark County Commission and five appointed by the Las Vegas City Council. LVCCLD is headquartered at the Windmill Library Service Center at 7060 W. Windmill Ln., Las Vegas, NV The district services Clark County, including Las Vegas; the system does not operate branches in Henderson and North Las Vegas. However, the North Las Vegas Library District and Boulder City Library have contracts with LVCCLD for automation services. This enables the North Las Vegas Library District's and Boulder City's items to appear in the online catalog of LVCCLD.

Durango High School is a public high school in Spring Valley, Nevada, USA, with an enrollment of approximately 2600 students. It is a part of the Area 4 region of the Clark County School District, which is the fifth largest school district in the United States. Durango High School's main sports rivals are Bishop Gorman High School and Spring Valley High School.

Bishop Gorman High School (also commonly referred to as Gorman High School or BGHS) is a private Roman Catholic preparatory school located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The school is administered by the Diocese of Las Vegas. The school opened in 1954. Its mascot is a Gael, a mounted Irish Knight.
