Burderop Park is a Grade II* listed country manor house near Chiseldon, Wiltshire, England. The house was constructed in the early 17th century to a courtyard design, and was turned into a three-storey square house with bay windows during the 18th century. It is the manor house of the hamlet of Hodson, to the east.

Burderop Wood (grid reference SU165810) is a 48.5 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, notified in 1971. The site contains wet ash-maple and acid pedunculate oak-hazel-ash woodland, and its notification as an SSSI due to this, particular richness of the associated ground flora. Ash is the most widespread tree in the wood, but many mature oaks also occur. Present in the wood's ground flora are the nationally scarce spiked star-of-Bethlehem (Ornithogalum pyrenaicum), and other species include herb-paris (Paris quadrifolia), broad-leaved helleborine (Epipactis helleborine), woodruff (Galium odoratum), wood anemone (Anemone nemorosa), sanicle (Sanicula europaea) and moschatel (Adoxa moschatellina).

Badbury is a hamlet of the civil parish of Chiseldon in Wiltshire. It lies approximately 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) to the south of Swindon, very close the M4 motorway.

Fir Clump Stone Circle was a stone circle in Burderop Wood near Wroughton, Wiltshire, in South West England. The ring was part of a tradition of stone circle construction that spread throughout much of Britain, Ireland, and Brittany during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age, over a period between 3300 and 900 BCE. The purpose of such monuments is unknown, although some archaeologists speculate that the stones represented supernatural entities for the circle's builders. A double concentric circle consisting of sarsen megaliths, Fir Clump Stone Circle was oval-shaped. The outer ring measured 107 metres (351 ft) by 86.5 metres (284 ft) in diameter; the inner ring was 86.5 metres (284 ft) by 73.7 metres (242 ft). It was one of at least seven stone circles that are known to have been erected in the area south of Swindon in northern Wiltshire. Around the 1860s, the megaliths in Fir Clump Stone Circle were levelled and in the 1890s the antiquarian A. D. Passmore observed that the circle was no longer visible. Some of the fallen megaliths were rediscovered in 1965 by the archaeologist Richard Reiss, who described and measured the monument. In 1969, these stones were removed during construction of the M4 motorway.

Chiseldon is a village and civil parish in the Borough of Swindon, Wiltshire, England. It takes its name from the Old English cisel dene, or gravel valley, being noted in the Domesday Book as Chiseldene. The village lies on the edge of the Marlborough Downs, a mile south of junction 15 of the M4 motorway, on the A346 between Swindon and Marlborough. The large village of Wroughton is 2.5 miles (4 km) to the east. The parish includes the hamlets of Badbury. Badbury Wick, Draycot Foliat, Hodson, and Ridgeway View; the ancient manor of Burderop is also within the parish.

Chiseldon House Hotel in Chiseldon, Wiltshire in England is a building of historical significance and is listed in the National Heritage Register. It is a detached late regency villa. It was built in the early 19th Century for the Browne family and continued to be used as a private residence until 1964 when it was converted to a hotel. It is now a country house hotel and restaurant with facilities for special events particularly weddings.

Coate Water (grid reference SU177827) is a country park situated 5 km (3.1 mi) to the southeast of central Swindon, England, near junction 15 of the M4. It takes its name from its main feature, a reservoir originally built to provide water for the Wilts & Berks Canal. Now named 'Coate Water Country Park', the lake and its surroundings are both a leisure facility and a nature reserve.

Day House Lane Stone Circle, also known as Coate Stone Circle, is a stone circle near the hamlet of Coate, now on the southeastern edge of Swindon, in the English county of Wiltshire. The ring was part of a tradition of stone circle construction that spread throughout much of Britain, Ireland, and Brittany during the Late Neolithic and Early Bronze Age, over a period between 3300 and 900 BCE. The purpose of such monuments is unknown, although some archaeologists speculate that the stones represented supernatural entities for the circle's builders. Five partly buried stones remain at the site. A circle of sarsen megaliths, Day House Lane Stone Circle probably had an original diameter of about 69 metres and possibly contained over thirty stones. It was one of at least seven stone circles that are known to have been erected in the area south of Swindon in northern Wiltshire. The earliest known reference to the site was made by the local writer Richard Jefferies in the 1860s. When the antiquarian A. D. Passmore investigated the site during the 1890s he found nine stones, mostly buried. He observed a line of five stones not far from the circle's northern end, suggesting that these were part of a prehistoric avenue connected to the circle; these too no longer existed by the 21st century.

Draycot Foliat is a hamlet in Wiltshire, England, on the back road between Chiseldon to the north and Ogbourne St. George to the south. The nearest major town is Swindon which is about 5 miles (8 km) north. A notable feature is the small airstrip with its model helicopter instruction centre. There is one smallholding, called Draycot Farm, and a larger farm, Sheppard's Farm, which comprises some 750 acres (300 hectares). Attached to Sheppard's farm is a small set of industrial buildings, most notably the Intellectual Property Law offices of Berry Davies LLP. In addition there are between ten and twenty other houses. The Og, a tributary of the River Kennet (itself a tributary of the Thames), flows for about half of the year down the centre of the hamlet, forcing the road into a sharp hairpin bend.
