The National Education Institute Slovenia - NEI (Slovene: Zavod Republike Slovenije za Šolstvo, ZRSŠ) is the main public organisation in Slovenia that encourages development in education in Slovenia up to pre-university — covering all kindergartens, elementary schools, secondary schools, music schools, and boarding schools.

Kodeljevo Sports Park (Slovene: Športni park Kodeljevo) is a multi-purpose stadium in Ljubljana, Slovenia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of ND Slovan. The stadium opened in 1959 and the main stand was built in 1965. It is located in a larger sports complex, which includes a multi-purpose arena, an Olympic swimming pool and tennis courts.

The Fabiani Bridge (Slovene: Fabianijev most) is a two-level bridge over the Ljubljanica River in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It links Njegoš Street (Njegoševa cesta) with Rog Street (Roška cesta) and thus completes the Ljubljana's inner ring road. The bridge has been named after its original conceptor Max Fabiani (1865–1962) and was opened to the public on 22 August 2012. The architect in charge of the design was Jurij Kobe.On 23 August in the morning, a day after the opening of the bridge, a severe balloon accident happened at the Ljubljana Marsh, several kilometres away. The Fabiani Bridge significantly shortened the pathway of ambulances driving the injured from the site of accident to the Ljubljana University Medical Centre, located in the vicinity of the bridge.Planning and realization of the bridge have been criticized since the beginning of its planning because it disadvantages cyclists and pedestrians who are not allowed to use the upper part of the bridge, which links Njegoš Street and Rog Street directly, and are confined to using the lower level, which connects to Rog Street via a set of inclined sidepaths on the Šuštar Embankment.

The Ljubljanica Sluice Gate (Slovene: Zapornica na Ljubljanici), or the Partition (Pregrada),: 180–181  is a sluice gate and a triumphal arch on the Ljubljanica River in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is located between Cukrarna (a former sugar factory) and Vraz Square (Vrazov trg) in the Center District, east of the Ljubljana old town, a bit downstream of Ambrož Square (Ambrožev trg). It was designed in 1939 by the Slovene architect Jože Plečnik, who envisaged it as a monumental farewell to the Ljubljanica River on its exit from the Ljubljana city centre. It was planned to be used as a footbridge as well. The sluice gate was built with difficulty from 1940 until 1943: 184  by the constructor Matko Curk. Since July 2009, it has been protected as a monument of national significance, along with other major works by Plečnik.

The Ljubljana University Medical Centre (Slovene: Univerzitetni klinični center Ljubljana, abb. UKC Ljubljana) or Ljubljana UMC is the largest hospital centre in Slovenia based in Ljubljana. It was officially opened on 29 November 1975 and as of December 2019 has over 2,100 beds and over 8,300 employees, making it one of the largest hospital centres in Central Europe.It is the main training base for the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Health Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine, which is housed nearby. The Ljubljana University Medical Centre had previously been led by Janez Poklukar, who has since become the Minister of Health.

St. Peter's Parish Church (Slovene: Župnijska cerkev sv. Petra, Šempetrska cerkev or Šentpetrska cerkev) is a Roman Catholic church in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is one of the oldest churches in Ljubljana and is the seat of Ljubljana–St. Peter parish. It is located in the Center District, at the corner of Trubar Street (Trubarjeva cesta), Njegoš Street (Njegoševa cesta) and Zalog Street (Zaloška cesta), near Croatian Square (Hrvatski trg). The University Medical Centre Ljubljana is situated in the immediate vicinity.

Vodmat (pronounced [ˈʋoːdmat]; in older sources also Udmat, German: Udmath) is a formerly independent settlement in the eastern part of the capital Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Central Slovenia Statistical Region (Slovene: Osrednjeslovenska statistična regija) is a statistical region in central Slovenia.

St. Peter's Bridge (Slovene: Šempetrski most or Šentpetrski most, in older sources also Šent Peterski most or Šentpeterski most), also Ambrož Bridge (Ambrožev most), is a bridge in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, that crosses the river Ljubljanica in the northeastern end of the old town. It is a continuation of Rozman Street (Rozmanova ulica). West of it lie Vraz Square (Vrazov trg) on the northern (left) bank of the river and Ambrož Square (Ambrožev trg) on its southern (right) bank. East of it lies the Petkovšek Embankment (Petkovškovo nabrežje) on the northern bank and the Poljane Embankment (Poljansko nabrežje) on the southern bank. The bridge is named after the nearby St. Peter's Church. It is intended primarily for motorised traffic, but is also used by pedestrians.

Štepanja Vas (pronounced [ʃtɛˈpaːnja ˈʋaːs]; in older sources also Štepana Vas, German: Stefansdorf) is a formerly independent settlement in the southeast part of the capital Ljubljana in central Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Ljubljana. It is part of the traditional region of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality in the Central Slovenia Statistical Region.

The Buddhist Congregation Dharmaling is a Buddhist organization, which main office is registered to the Office for religious communities of the Government of Slovenia. Buddhist Congregation Dharmaling is also signatory of an agreement with the State of Slovenia, and is as such the 6th religious community to have signed such agreement in Slovenia (after the four Christian faiths and the Muslim community). Following primarily the Gelug lineage, the head of the organization, Lama Shenphen Rinpoche – a Western reborn and officially recognized tulku by the Tibetan community – has a non sectarian (Rime) type of approach. The Congregation’s teachings and practices are traditional, but are adapted to be accessible to Westerners and the life they live. A regular program of teaching exists in different countries and more periodical teachings are taking places in other countries where a study group exists. Retreats and seminars are also organized each year. Dharmaling is also active in the humanitarian fields, through AMCHI non profit organization created since 1989, and its Foundation.

The Ljubljana Botanical Garden (Slovene: Ljubljanski botanični vrt), officially the University of Ljubljana Botanical Garden (Botanični vrt Univerze v Ljubljani), is the central Slovenian botanical garden, the oldest botanical garden in Southeastern Europe, and one of the oldest cultural, scientific, and educational organisations in Slovenia. Its headquarters are located in the Rudnik District of Ljubljana, the Slovenian capital, at Ig Street (Ižanska cesta) along the Gruber Canal to the southeast of Castle Hill. The garden started operating under the leadership of Franc Hladnik in 1810, when Ljubljana was the capital of the Illyrian Provinces. It is thus an averagely old European botanical garden. The institution is a member of the international network Botanic Gardens Conservation International and cooperates with more than 270 botanical gardens all across the world. Of over 4,500 plant species and subspecies that grow on 2 hectares (4.9 acres), roughly a third is endemic to Slovenia, whereas the rest originate from other European places and other continents.
