The Mother of God Church, also known as the Madre de Deus Church ("mother of God" in Portuguese/Latin), is a church located in Vettukad in Kerala, India's Thiruvananthapuram district. The current church building was constructed in 1934 and finished in 1937 and has since grown into a small township with a Christian population of 6,770. There is evidence that Christians have existed in Vettukad since the 15th century. Madre de Deus is known for its Feast of Christ the King celebration, which it has been celebrating for more than 500 years. Organisations such as the Kerala Catholic Youth Movement (KCYM), Legion of Mary, Sodality, Vincent de Paul, and TSSS actively work with the church.

Shankumugham Beach is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram district of Kerala, south India. The beach is on the western side of Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) and is very close to Trivandrum International Airport. Thousands of Hindus perform ‘Bali Tharpanam’ during special occasions. Shankhumugham is the prime location for Ganesh Nimarjan at the time of Vinayaka Chathurthi.On the Arattu day at Thiruvananthapuram, images of Lord Padmanabhaswamy, Lord Narasimha, and Lord Krishna are taken in procession to the Laccadive Sea at Shanghumugham beach. His Highness the now-titular Maharaja of Travancore will lead the procession with the royal sword in hand, who will be escorted by members of the royal family, armed guards, temple authorities, mounted police, and officers. After the ceremonial bath at Shanghumugham, images are taken back in procession which marks the conclusion of the festival.The sculpture of Sagarakanyaka - Mermaid by Kanayi Kunhiraman is an added attraction. This giant statue is more than 35 metres long. The 'Jawaharlal Nehru Park of Traffic signs for children' is situated here, which is helpful for the children to understand the traffic rules while playing in the park. The park also provides cycling facilities for small children. The military area of Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force and part of the main airport are situated near Shankumugham Beach.Veli Tourist Village is near the beach. Boating facilities are offered at this picnic spot. Speed boats, restaurants and well-landscaped gardens are available.

Anchuthengu ("Five Coconut Palms"), formerly known as Anjengo, Angengo or Anjenga, is a coastal panchayath and town in the Thiruvananthapuram District of Kerala. It is situated 9km south-west of Varkala Town along Trivandrum - Varkala - Kollam coastal highway. The town contains old Portuguese-style churches, a lighthouse, a 100-year-old convent and school, tombs of Dutch and British sailors and soldiers, and the remains of the Anchuthengu Fort. Kaikara village, the birthplace of the famous Malayalam poet Kumaran Asan, is located nearby. Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology (RAGAAT) is a state-owned pilot training institute run by the Government of Kerala, India. It is situated at the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. Originally founded as Kerala Flying Club, a private flying club in 1959 by G. V. Raja, it was bought by the state government in 1981. In 2006, the institute was approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) as a Flying Training Organisation (FTO). As of 2022, RAGAAT is the only pilot training institute in Kerala and one among the 34 FTOs in India. The institute has both single and twin-engine aircraft.

Thiruvananthapuram International Airport (IATA: TRV, ICAO: VOTV), is an international airport which serves Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of Kerala, India. Established in 1932, it is the first airport in the state of Kerala and fifth international airport of India, officially declared in 1991. It is the operating base of Air India, Air India Express, IndiGo and SpiceJet. Spread over an area of 700 acres (280 ha), the airport is approximately 3.7 km (2.3 mi) due west from the city centre and the Padmanabhaswamy Temple, 16 km (9.9 mi) from Kovalam beach, 13 km (8.1 mi) from Technopark and 21 km (13 mi) from the under construction Vizhinjam International Seaport. It shares a visible proximity to Shankumugham Beach making it the nearest airport to a sea in India, just about 0.6 miles (approx. 1 km) away from the sea. The airport is the eighth busiest airport in India in terms of international traffic and the twenty second–busiest overall. In fiscal year 2018–19, the airport handled more than 4.4 million passengers with a total of 33,093 aircraft movements.In addition to civil operations, the airport headquarters the Southern Air Command (India) of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Coast Guard for their operations. IAF have an exclusive apron to handle all their operations. Thiruvananthapuram Airport also caters to the Rajiv Gandhi Academy for Aviation Technology which carries out pilot training activities. The airport hosts Air India's Narrow body Maintenance, repair and overhaul unit – MRO consisting of twin hangars for servicing Boeing 737 type aircraft, servicing mostly Air India Express aircraft.

Karikkakom Sree Chamundi Devi Temple or Karikkakom Devi Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Chamundi located in Thiruvananthapuram, India. This ancient temple, more than 600 years old, is situated at Karikkakom, around 7 km north of Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple in Thiruvananthapuram. The temple enshrines a Panchaloha idol of the goddess Karikkakathamma – an incarnation of Chamundi. The rare fact about this temple is that Chamundi Devi is worshiped here in three different forms: Maha Chamundi, Raktha Chamundi, and Bala Chamundi. During the period of King's rule this temple was the venue for imparting justice and truth. Truth and justice were tested on oath and solemnization and the punishmentsf meted out accordingly.

Mall of Travancore(MOT) is a shopping mall located in Trivandrum, Kerala, India. Developed by Malabar Group, it is the first shopping mall in Trivandrum. The mall was initiated by Malabar Developers in 2014 and was completed in 2018. It covers an area of 700,000 square feet (65,000 m2). The mall has three floors of retail space, comprising more than 150 retailers.

Thiruvananthapuram North railway station (also known as Kochuveli railway station) (station code: KCVL) is a satellite passenger railway terminus of Thiruvananthapuram city in the Indian state of Kerala. It is being developed to ease congestion at Thiruvananthapuram Central. The Kochuveli railway station is located towards the north of the city, approximately at a distance of 8 kilometers from Thiruvananthapuram city. The Kochuveli railway station is located near to NH-66 Thiruvananthapuram City bypass.The railway station was opened in 2005. The station has two entrances, eastern side and western side. The eastern side has the satellite terminal from where the trains originating from Kochuveli operate and the old railway station is situated on the western side. Currently, 16 long-distance express trains and one passenger train operate from the station. Kochuveli railway station connects passengers to important cities of India. Some trains presently operating from Thiruvananthapuram Central, including the Sabari Express, will commence the journey from Kochuveli railway station once the station is completely developed. Kochuveli railway station also caters to special trains during busy seasons. The trains connect this station to cities like Amritsar, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Secunderabad, Hubli, Bengaluru, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Madgaon, Bhavnagar, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, Surat, Nilambur, Jodhpur, Sri Ganganagar and Nagercoil.
