Daganzo de Arriba is a Spanish municipality in the Comarca de Alcalá, located in the east of Autonomous Community of Madrid. It has a population of about 9,000 (including the residents of the permanent camping that is in the town), of which are mostly young families, in more recent times people have been purchasing homes in the new housing subdivisions that are being built and residing within those new neighborhoods. It is 27 km to the east-northeast of Madrid and 11 km to the north of Alcalá de Henares. It has an altitude of 673 meters above sea level and has a municipal area of 4,325 hectares. The village is surrounded by small hills. From north to south, the river Torote runs through the village, in whose margins was located the first settlement of this town, in the same place where the church of Nuestra Señora del Espino is, and stream Valseco. There are two industrial parks which collectively employ about 1,800 workers, of which 800 are residents of the town. The rest come from other nearby municipalities. It has an important agriculture according to the area of the municipality, which is quite extensive and of acceptable quality. The climate that dominates the area is characterized by very high summer temperatures and low winter temperatures. Rainfall in summer is almost zero and medium in periods of autumn and winter, therefore is unevenly distributed throughout the year. The average annual temperature is 14.5 °C with temperatures ranging from 27 °C in summer to 5 °C in winter.

Madrid–Torrejón Airport (IATA: TOJ, ICAO: LETO) is a commercial airport in central Spain, a joint-use facility between the Spanish Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Public Works. The civil part is dedicated primarily to executive and private aviation. The military part (Torrejón Air Base) is the base of several combat, logistics, and electronic warfare units of the Ejército del Aire y del Espacio, the Spanish Air and Space Force, among them the 12 Combat Wing with F-18 fighters and the official planes of the President of the Government and the King of Spain. It is also the base of the European Union's Satellite Centre (EUSC). The airport was formerly home to U.S. Air Force squadrons at Torrejón Air Base and is located fifteen miles (24 km) northeast of Madrid, five miles (8 km) west of Alcalá de Henares, and one mile (1.6 km) NE of Torrejón de Ardoz.

Torrejón Air Base (IATA: TOJ, ICAO: LETO) (Base Aérea de Torrejón de Ardoz) is both a major Spanish Air and Space Force base and the co-located Madrid–Torrejón Airport, a secondary civilian airport for the city and metropolitan area of Madrid, east-northeast of the city center in central Spain.

The Church of San Cipriano (Spanish: Iglesia Parroquial de San Cipriano) is a church located in Cobeña, Spain. It was declared Bien de Interés Cultural in 1996.

The European Union Satellite Centre (EU SatCen; previously EUSC) is the agency of the European Union (EU) that supports the EU's decision-making in the field of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), including crisis management missions and operations. It provides products and services resulting from the exploitation of relevant space assets and collateral data, including satellite and aerial imagery, and related services. SatCen is headquartered in the Torrejón Air Base, located in the Spanish municipality of the same name, in the vicinity of Madrid. The staff of the centre, headed by Director Sorin Dumitru Ducaru, consists of experienced image analysts, geospatial specialists and supporting personnel, recruited from EU Member States. Experts seconded from Member States work at the SatCen for periods ranging from six months to three years. Temporary staff are recruited as needed. SatCen assures technical development activities in direct support to its operational activities, as well as specialised training for image analysts.

Paracuellos del Jarama is a small town and municipality in the Community of Madrid, Spain. It is located northeast from Madrid and very close to Madrid-Barajas Airport. The etymology of the name is unclear.In 1936, it (along with Torrejón de Ardoz) was the site of the Paracuellos massacres.

Pabellón Jorge Garbajosa, formerly known as Pabellón Parque Corredor, is an indoor arena located in Torrejón de Ardoz, Community of Madrid, Spain. It is mainly used by Inter Movistar for its futsal games.

Torrejón de Ardoz (Spanish pronunciation: [toreˈxon de aɾˈðoθ]) is a municipality of Spain belonging to the Community of Madrid. The European Union Satellite Centre (SatCen), an agency of the European Union, is located in Torrejón de Ardoz. It is also the location of the headquarters of the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial (INTA), the Spanish space agency. The Torrejón Air Base/Madrid–Torrejón Airport also lies on the municipality.

On 12 April 1985, the El Descanso restaurant in Madrid, Spain was bombed in a terrorist attack. The explosion caused the three-story building to collapse, crashing down on about 200 diners and employees, killing 18 people, all Spanish citizens, and injuring 82 others, including eleven Americans working at the nearby Torrejón Air Base who frequented the restaurant. At the time it was the deadliest attack in Spain since the Spanish Civil War.

The Church of Saint John of Ávila (Spanish: Iglesia de San Juan de Ávila) is a Roman Catholic parish church located in a modern neighbourhood of Alcalá de Henares, Spain. The current temple was built in brickwork by Uruguayan engineer-architect Eladio Dieste; the dimensions of walls and roofs are very slim, thanks to reinforced ceramics.It is dedicated to saint John of Ávila.It is interesting to point out that, originally, this church was going to be built in Uruguay (Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Malvín); as the economic situation made this impossible, only the apse was built.
