Las Piñas

The University of Perpetual Help System DALTA (UPHSD) is a Catholic-oriented, co-educational, private university, with campuses at Las Piñas, Bacoor, Cavite and Calamba, Laguna in the Philippines. The university offers programs in preschool, primary, secondary, tertiary levels, as well as short term vocational, technical, and special programs.

The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta - Molino Campus (UPHSD Molino) or simply Perpetual, was founded on 1995 in Bacoor, Cavite, Philippines. It is a private, non-sectarian educational institution run by the Dalta Group of Companies, and is part of the University of Perpetual Help System. The Molino campus was established and inaugurated in May 1995. The number of students has increased from the initial figure of 700 to 4,500.

On October 3, 2022, Percy Lapid, a radio journalist and radio broadcaster, was shot dead while on his way home in Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines.

The Molino Dam or Prinza Water Dam is a gravity dam on the Zapote River located on the border between Barangay San Nicolas I, Bacoor, Cavite and Barangay Talon Dos, Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. It was built by hand in the 19th century to irrigate the surrounding rice field in Las Piñas and Bacoor.

South SEED LPDH College is a collaboration of the school Southville International School and Colleges and Las Piñas Doctors Hospital. The president of the school is Marl V. Ferenal.

Southville International School Affiliated with Foreign Universities (SISFU) is a private university located in Las Piñas, in the southern part of Metro Manila, Philippines. It was established in 1998 as Southville Foreign Colleges and is the only provider of Tertiary Transnational Education in the Philippines. The school was founded to provide international curricula and qualifications in the Philippines. It is the only university in the Philippines accredited to offer De Montfort University and Pearson BTEC qualifications.

Las Piñas City National Science High School (Filipino: Mataas na Paaralang Pang-Agham ng Lungsod ng Las Piñas) is a science high school located in Carnival Park St., BF Resort Village, Brgy. Talon Dos, Las Piñas, Philippines. It is a specialized public high school concentrating in English, Mathematics, and Science. At present, it has approximately 800 students from Grade 7 to Grade 12. It is under the administration of the local government of Las Piñas and is recognized by the Department of Education.

Zapote Bridge is a stone arch pedestrian bridge crossing the Zapote River in the Philippines. It connects the cities of Las Piñas in Metro Manila and Bacoor in the province of Cavite. The bridge and its surrounding area was the site of two battles, the Battle of Zapote Bridge (1897) between Filipino revolutionaries and the Spanish colonial government in 1897 during the Philippine Revolution, and the Battle of Zapote River between Filipino and American forces in 1899 during the Philippine–American War. Because of these historic events, the bridge was designated as a National Historical Landmark by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines on September 9, 2013.A modern concrete bridge, also named Zapote Bridge, carrying motorized vehicles and part of Aguinaldo Highway was constructed parallel to the original bridge.

The Zapote River, also referred to as the Alabang–Zapote River, is a river in the Philippines located between the boundaries of the cities of Las Piñas and Muntinlupa in Metro Manila, Bacoor and Dasmariñas in Cavite, and San Pedro in Laguna. The river has a total length of 5.81 kilometers (3.61 mi).

The Battle of Zapote River (Filipino: Labanan sa Ilog ng Zapote, Spanish: Batalla de Rio de Zapote), also known as the Battle of Zapote Bridge, was fought on the 13 June 1899 between 1,200 Americans and between 4,000~5,000 Filipinos. It was the second largest battle of the Philippine–American War after the Battle of Manila five months before in February 1899. Zapote River separates the town of Las Piñas in what was then Manila province from Bacoor in the province of Cavite. The ruins of Zapote Bridge still stands next to its replacement bridge on Aguinaldo Highway.

BF International Village is a barangay in the first district of Las Piñas, Metro Manila, Philippines. BF International Village currently has a population of 77,264 people spread over 2.17 km2 (0.84 sq mi) of land. The barangay has a total 60,000 households, 20,000 families, 50,000 registered voters and 251 precincts. The barangay is bordered by Gatchalian Village-Barangay Manuyo II to the north; San Antonio V7-Barangay Pulanglupa II to the east; Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque on the west; and J. Aguilar Ave., Barangay Pamplona III to the south.

Robinsons Las Piñas (formerly Robinsons Place Las Piñas) is a shopping mall and mixed-use development in Las Piñas, Philippines. It is located on the north side of Alabang–Zapote Road between CAA Road and Admiral Road in Talon Tres. The mall is owned and managed by Robinsons Land Corporation, the second largest mall operator in the Philippines. The mall opened on October 25, 2014. It is the 39th mall opened by Robinsons in the Philippines and the first and only Robinsons mall in Las Piñas and the whole South Manila area.
