Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore

Marina South Pier is a pier that is located in Marina South, Singapore. It is used as a terminal for tourists and day-trippers who are boarding small boats and ferries heading for the Southern Islands. There are regular ferries from the pier to Kusu Island and Saint John's Island.

Marina South Pier MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station in Straits View, Singapore, which is operated by SMRT Trains. Built as part of the 1-kilometre (0.62 mi) North South line (NSL) Extension, it is the southern terminus of the line. As the name suggests, the station is near the Marina South Pier and the Marina Bay Cruise Centre Singapore, underneath Marina Coastal Drive. The extension, first announced as part of the 2008 Land Transport Master Plan, was completed on 22 November 2014. The station features two Art-in-Transit artworks, one of which – Singapore Tapestry – was commissioned as part of the Land Transport Authority's (LTA) gift to Singapore on the nation's 50th anniversary.

Marina South MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line. Situated in Straits View and Marina South, Singapore, it will be near Marina South Pier. First announced in August 2012 as part of the Thomson Line (TSL), the station was constructed as part of TEL Phase 3 (TEL3) with the merger of the TSL and the Eastern Region line (ERL). Initially slated to open along with the TEL3 stations, it was announced in November 2021 that the station would only open when the surrounding areas are further developed.

Marina Bay MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South line (NSL) and Circle Line (CCL), operated by SMRT Trains. The station is located on the boundary of the Downtown Core and Straits View planning areas in Singapore and was built alongside Bayfront Avenue. As the name suggests, it is located near Marina Bay. Marina Bay station was one of the last stations to be completed in the early phases of the MRT network, opening on 4 November 1989. It was the terminus of the North South line until the line's extension to Marina South Pier station in 2014. The station became an interchange station with the Circle line (CCL) upon the completion of the two-station branch extension to this station from Promenade station in January 2012. The station will become a triple-line interchange when Stage 3 of the Thomson–East Coast line (TEL) opens in 2022.

Gardens by the Bay MRT station is a future underground Mass Rapid Transit station on the Thomson-East Coast Line in Marina South, Singapore. It will be the nearest MRT station to Gardens by the Bay Bay South and Marina Barrage.The station will serve as the southern terminus of the Thomson-East Coast Line from 2022 to 2024, where it would be replaced by Bayshore when the eastern (fourth) phase of the line opens. Gardens by the Bay station is one of the three MRT stations in Singapore to have an official Malay name. The other stations are Botanic Gardens MRT station and Founders' Memorial MRT station.

Marina One is a mixed-use development bounded by Marina Way and Straits View in Marina South located within the Downtown Core of the city-state of Singapore. Designed by Christoph Ingenhoven, Marina One covers a total gross floor area of approximately 3.67 million square feet. It includes two 34-storey residential towers, two 30-storey prime grade A office towers and a retail podium named 'The Heart', featuring lush greenery and landscaping by Gustafson Porter and ICN Design. Both were landscape architects behind Singapore's Gardens by the Bay, also located in Marina South.It was developed by M+S Pte Ltd, a 60:40 joint venture between Investment fund Khazanah National and Singapore's investment company Temasek Holdings. Wholly owned subsidiaries of the two funds - Mapletree Investments and UEM Sunrise were appointed project managers.The development broke ground on 11 July 2012 followed by the unveiling of Marina One's architectural design on 19 February 2013. It was inaugurated on 15 January 2018.

The Guoco Tower currently holds the title of tallest building in Singapore. It stands at 283.7m (931 ft), exempted from the height restriction of 280m in the Central Business District. Singapore's history of skyscrapers began with the 1939 completion of the 17-storey Cathay Building. The 70-metre (230 ft) structure was, at the time of its completion, the tallest building in Southeast Asia; it was superseded by the 87-metre (285 ft) Asia Insurance Building in 1954, which remained the tallest in Singapore for more than a decade. Singapore went through a major building boom in the 1970s and 1980s that resulted from the city's rapid industrialisation. During this time UOB Plaza became the tallest building in the city-state; the 280 m (919 ft) structure was also the tallest building in the world outside of North America from its 1986 completion until 1989, when the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong was completed. The skyscraper-building boom continued during the 1990s and 2000s, with 30 skyscrapers at least 140 m (459 ft) tall, many of them residential towers, constructed from 1990 through 2008. Since 2000, there has been a sharp increase in the number of skyscrapers under construction in the city area, particularly in the Marina Bay district. One project completed in Marina Centre is the Marina Bay Financial Centre, which includes 3 office towers offering 280,000 square metres (3,000,000 sq ft) of office space, 2 residential developments offering 649 apartments and a 16,400-square-metre (176,000 sq ft) retail mall, named Marina Bay Link Mall. There are also several new developments in the city's shopping hub, Orchard Road. The Orchard Residences is a 218 m (715 ft), 52-floor tower built in conjunction with ION Orchard, a shopping centre just beside Orchard MRT station. In addition, the 245 m (804 ft) Ocean Financial Centre, a 43-floor skyscraper, is built in Raffles Place.With Jurong Lake District envisioned as Singapore's second central business district, more skyscrapers are shaping the skyline there. However, its close proximity to Tengah Air Base meant that height restrictions apply there as well. The JTC Summit, a 142 m (466 ft) office tower built in 2000, stands as the tallest building outside the Central Region.

Bayfront MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the Downtown line (DTL) and Circle line (CCL) in Downtown Core, Singapore. Located under Bayfront Avenue, it is near Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay. First announced in 2005 as part of the Downtown Extension, the station opened as part of the CCL's extension to Marina Bay in January 2012, while the DTL platforms commenced operations in December 2013.

Marina Bay Sands (abbreviation: MBS) is an integrated resort fronting Marina Bay in Singapore, owned by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation. At its opening in 2010, it was billed as the world's most expensive standalone casino property at S$8 billion (US$6.88 billion), including the land cost. The resort includes a 2,561-room hotel, a 120,000-square-metre (1,300,000 sq ft) convention-exhibition centre, the 74,000-square-metre (800,000 sq ft) The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands mall, a museum, a large theatre, "celebrity chef" restaurants, two floating crystal pavilions, art-science exhibits, and the world's largest atrium casino with 500 tables and 1,600 slot machines. The complex includes three towers topped by a connecting 340-metre-long (1,120 ft) SkyPark with a capacity of 3,902 people and a 150 m (490 ft) infinity swimming pool, set on top of the world's largest public cantilevered platform, which overhangs the north tower by 66.5 m (218 ft). The 20-hectare resort was designed by Moshe Safdie architects.Marina Bay Sands was originally set to open in 2009, but its construction faced delays caused by escalating costs of material and labour shortages from the outset. The global financial crisis also pressured the owners, Las Vegas Sands, to delay its projects elsewhere to complete the integrated resort. Its owner decided to open the integrated resort in stages, and it was approved by the Singapore authorities. The resort and SkyPark were officially opened on 23 and 24 June 2010 as part of a two-day celebration, following the casino's opening on 27 April that year. The SkyPark opened the following day. The theatre was completed in time for the first performance of Riverdance on 30 November. The indoor skating rink, which uses artificial ice, opened to a performance by Michelle Kwan on 18 December. The ArtScience Museum opened to the public and the debut of a 13-minute light, laser and water show called Wonder Full on 19 February 2011 marked the full completion of the integrated resort. The opening of Marina Bay Sands was held on 17 February 2011. It also marked the opening of the seven celebrity chef restaurants. The last portion of the Marina Bay Sands, the floating pavilions, were finally opened to the public when the two tenants, Louis Vuitton and Pangaea Club, opened on 18 and 22 September 2011, respectively.Marina Bay Sands is set to have a fourth tower constructed by 2026.

The Marina Barrage is a dam in Singapore built at the confluence of five rivers, across the Marina Channel between Marina East and Marina South. First conceptualised in 1987 by the late Lee Kuan Yew, the Barrage started construction on 22 March 2005, and was officially opened on 31 October 2008 as Singapore's fifteenth reservoir. It provides water storage, flood control and recreation. It won a Superior Achievement Award from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers in 2009.

EarthFest Singapore is a comprehensive festival celebrating sustainability in Singapore and first took place on 26 September 2015. The second festival occurred on 12 February 2017. The event is a collaboration between many different businesses and organisations in Singapore with the purpose of encouraging sustainability. The event has components of a food festival - as an international food fair of foods with lower environmental footprints, a farmer's market and bazaar, and a music festival which features live music from local talent, edutainment is covered with a carnival with environmentally themed educational games. EarthFest also screens documentaries and has talks about sustainability topics given by various experts in Singapore. It is a low-waste festival, incorporating elements of the circular and sharing economies.

Downtown MRT station is an underground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the Downtown line, located in Downtown Core, Singapore. The situation is situated underneath Central Boulevard between the junctions of Straits View and Marina View, it primarily serves the Marina Bay Financial Centre as well as Asia Square, Central Boulevard Towers and Marina One. It is within walking distance to Raffles Place station on the North South and East West lines as well as Marina Bay station of the North South and Circle lines. It is also expected to be directly connected to Shenton Way station on the Thomson–East Coast line via Marina One when the station opens later in 2022.
