Bordj El Kiffan

Bab Ezzouar (; Arabic: باب الزوار) is a suburb of the city of Algiers in northern Algeria. It is one of Algiers fastest growing municipalities and has seen many hotels and commercial malls being raised in the area. Bab Ezzouar is also the location of the University of Science and Technology of Houari Boumediene (USTHB), which is one of the most prominent technological universities in Algeria.

The University of Science and Technology – Houari Boumediene (French: Université des sciences et de la technologie Houari-Boumediene, USTHB, Arabic: جامعة العلوم والتكنولوجيا هواري بومدين) is a university located in the town of Bab-Ezzouar 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Algiers, Algeria. The university was designed by Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer and was inaugurated in 1974. Courses offered include Computing, Pure and Applied Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Civil Engineering, Electronics, Information Technology, Process Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. USTHB was the largest university in Algeria until 2013; it has over 20,000 students. The government five-year plan aiming at raising the number of university students in Algeria from 1.2 million in 2010 to 2 million students in 2014 has led to the construction of new universities and faculties in almost every Algerian town; some universities are now larger than the USTHB in the number of enrolled students. USTHB collaborates with western universities. Agreements exist between the faculties and their counterpart in France, Quebec Canada and other countries for the purpose of training and research. A number of Arab and African student receive grants to study in the USTHB. Tutoring language in the university is the French language, except for the Geography curriculum that is provided in Arabic language.

Yahia Boushaki (Arabic: يحي بوسحاقي, Kabyle: ⵢⴰⵃⵢⴰ ⴱⵓⵙⵃⴰⵇⵉ) is an Algiers residential, administrative and commercial neighbourhood located in the commune of Bab Ezzouar in Algeria.

The Centre Commercial Bab Ezzouar (Arabic: المركز التجاري لباب الزوار) is a shopping mall in Algiers, Algeria. The construction of the Centre Commercial Bab Ezzouar was in charge of the Swiss bank Valartis. Construction began in May 2007 and was planned for completion in November 2009; however, after problems arose the mall opening was delayed until August 2010.

El Alia Cemetery (Arabic: مقبرة العالية) is a cemetery in a suburb of Algiers in the commune of Oued Smar in Algeria. The name "El Alia" means in Arabic which is high, but came from the surname of the donor of the land in 1928, Hamza El-Alia.

The National Polytechnic School or École Nationale Polytechnique (ENP) is an engineering school founded in 1925. The architectural diversity of the buildings reflects the different extensions and enlargements of the areas of expertise, teachings and research. A common misconception is to call the school the National Polytechnic School of Algiers while its official name is the National Polytechnic School abbreviated in French as ENP.The school was created in 1925 under the name of "Institut industriel d'Algérie", the aim of this establishment was to train senior technicians for large public services and industrial and public works companies. After the Second World War a training of aeronautical technicians in North Africa was created the ENPA, National Professional School of the Air by General Martin whose alumni continue to maintain a historical site and memory. Closed because of the Second World War, the school was reopened under the name École nationale d'ingénieurs d'Algérie. In 1962, the ENP hosted the first meetings of the provisional government of Algeria. After independence, it was transformed into the National Polytechnic School by the ministerial decree of June 25, 1963.

Higher National Veterinary School (French: École nationale supérieure vétérinaire, ENSV, Arabic:المدرسة الوطنية العليا للطب البيطري), is a public institution of higher learning founded in Algeria in 1970, by Presidential Decree No. 65-69 of March 11, 1965. It is located in Hacène Badi - El Harrach 12 km east of Algiers.

Higher National Agronomic School (French: École Nationale Supérieure Agronomique, Acronym: ENSA ) or (Arabic: المدرسة الوطنية العليا للفلاحة) previously known as the National Institute of Agronomic (I.N.A) is the only school that trains Agricultural engineers in Algeria and offers training, research and expertise, based on the specialities of the research teams: Food, Sustainable Agriculture, Biotechnology, Environment and Territories. Students have the opportunity to prepare for an Engineer's degree in Agricultural Sciences (equivalent to a master's degree). ENSA is the oldest higher education institution founded in 1905 which is located in (El Harrach, Algiers). ENSA Officially accredited/recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Algeria. (French: Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche Scientifique), The Higher National Agronomic School (ENSA) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as State Engineer's degrees (French: Diplome d'Ingénieur d'État), master's degrees, doctorate degrees.

El Harrach is a district in the northern Algiers Province, Algeria. It was named after its capital, El Harrach.

The Regency of Algiers (Arabic: الجزائر, romanized: al Jaza'ir) was a state in North Africa lasting from 1516 to 1830, until it was conquered by the French. Situated between the regency of Tunis in the east, the Sultanate of Morocco (from 1553) in the west and Tuat as well as the country south of In Salah in the south (and the Spanish and Portuguese possessions of North Africa), the Regency originally extended its borders from La Calle in the east to Trara in the west and from Algiers to Biskra, and afterwards spread to the present eastern and western borders of Algeria.It had various degrees of autonomy throughout its existence, in some cases reaching complete independence, recognized even by the Ottoman sultan. The country was initially governed by governors appointed by the Ottoman sultan (1518–1659), rulers appointed by the Odjak of Algiers (1659–1710), and then Deys elected by the Divan of Algiers from (1710-1830).
