City of Sale

Sale is a city situated in the Gippsland region of the Australian state of Victoria and the council seat of the Shire of Wellington. It had an estimated urban population of 15,682 according to the 2021 census. The total population including the immediate area around the town designated for the future development of Sale currently sits at approximately 19,000 according to shire website.

St Paul's Cathedral, Sale is the cathedral church of the Anglican Diocese of Gippsland in Australia. The cathedral building, built in 1884 to a design by Nathaniel Billing, is a double storey building with a rectangular footprint and is constructed of red brick and slate roofing. The cathedral's interior is decorated in a Gothic style expressing a high church liturgy. The walls are of white rendered plaster with Oregon roof buttressing. Above the sanctuary is the "great western window" depicting the Sermon on the Mount and several other windows include St Paul's vision of the Macedonian and the diocese's coat of arms line the nave. Within the nave are a Lady chapel, a bishop's chapel and an honour roll. The cathedral's pipe organ was built in 1882 by George Fincham and was restored in 1981.The parish priest of the cathedral parish is known as the dean.

The Diocese of Gippsland is a diocese of the Anglican Church of Australia, founded in 1902. It is situated in the Gippsland region of the state of Victoria, Australia and covers most of the eastern part of the state. The diocesan cathedral is St Paul's Cathedral, Sale. The current Bishop of Gippsland, installed on 18 August 2018, is Richard Treloar.

Life FM (call sign: 3GCB) is a community Christian radio station in the Victorian region of Gippsland. The station broadcasts on the FM band at 103.9 MHz from Mt. Tassie near Traralgon. The Life FM studio and office is based in Sale. 3GCB broadcasts a variety of discussion and music programs for the region's Christian audience.

Sale College is a public day school located in Sale, in the state of Victoria, Australia. It is a high school broken up into two campuses. The Mac campus(senior) and guthridge campus (junior).

St Mary's Cathedral is the Roman Catholic cathedral church of the Diocese of Sale and seat of Bishop Gregory Bennet. The cathedral is located in the provincial city of Sale, in the East Gippsland region of Victoria, Australia. It was designed in the Gothic Revival style in 1886 by architects, Barker and Henderson. The cathedral was listed on the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) on 9 March 1989 as a place of regional significance. An organ was installed to one side of the rear gallery and was first used in 1903.

The Gippsland Art Gallery, formerly Sale Regional Art Centre, is a Victorian Regional Public Gallery based in Sale, 220 km (140 mi) east of Melbourne. The gallery is operated by the Shire of Wellington, and has a focus on the natural environment and artists based in Gippsland.

HM Prison Sale was a prison in Sale, Victoria, Australia. The prison was first proclaimed on the 28 October 1864, and the stone for the prison was prepared near Port Albert. That proclamation was revoked on 28 October 1887. A new prison was proclaimed on the 2nd of September, 1881, construction was completed in 1882. The prison was opened when William Gardner was appointed Governor on the 1st of July 1887. The Sale prison remained on that site until it closed in April 1997. The site now houses the Sale Police Station, which features some of the old prison walls.Demolition halted for several months due to a legal battle, but resumed soon after.

Sale railway station is located on the Gippsland line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the town of Sale, and it opened on 4 December 1983.

Lake Guthridge is a small artificial lake in Sale, Victoria, Australia, named after the first Sale mayor, Nehemiah Guthridge. The lake was originally a bog but Guthridge suggested converting it into a lake to supply the growing population. Its sister, Lake Guyatt acts as overflow.

Sale Oval (also known as Sale Cricket Ground) is a cricket ground in Sale, Victoria, Australia. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1967 when Sale-Maffra Cricket Association played the Cricket Club of India in 1967. The ground held its only first-class match in 1989 when Victoria played the touring Sri Lankans.The ground is also a venue for Australian Rules Football.
