Cheltenham

Spy Booth was an artwork by Banksy in Cheltenham, England. The piece has been seen as a critique of the global surveillance disclosures of 2013.In 2014, Robin Barton and Bankrobber London helped with the preservation of the artwork, and attempted to broker the removal and sale of the piece. However the artwork was painted onto a Grade II listed building (153–159 Fairview Road) and the council prevented it from being removed, giving it retrospective listed building consent in 2015 and affording it some protection from removal. Despite this, the artwork was removed, destroying it in August 2016. Spy Booth was auctioned as nine stucco-faced brick fragments sawed from the wall and as an NFT.The GCHQ has used the picture, as a symbolic image for "How does an analyst catch a terrorist?", on its "what we do" page, on its website.

153–159 Fairview Road is a terrace of four houses in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, on the south side of Fairview Road beside the roundabout at its junction with Hewlett Road. The terrace became a Grade II listed building in 1972. The street artist Banksy produced an artwork, Spy Booth, on either side of a public telephone booth adjacent to the gable end of number 159 in April 2014. The work was destroyed in August 2016.

Fairview is an area of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England. Situated between the town centre and Pittville, it is largely residential. There are a couple of businesses, including a local builders merchant and Cheltenham builder's merchant, George Bence, and a branch of Machinemart. According to maps in Cheltenham library, Fairview was part of an expansion of the town onto former farmland in the early nineteenth century. Much of its housing is a mix of late Regency and Victorian, with some more recent additions filling the gaps left by early developers. Another feature of the area is its narrow streets, planned well before the arrival of motor vehicles; parts of Fairview are difficult to navigate should the unfamiliar motorist stray from the larger streets. All Saints Church, Cheltenham, is a Grade I listed parish church in the Church of England in Cheltenham. All Saints stands in the Traditional Catholic tradition of the Church of England. As a parish that rejects the ordination of women as priests and bishops, it receives alternative episcopal oversight from the Bishop of Oswestry.

Sandford Park Alehouse is a pub at 20 High Street, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, it opened in 2010. It was CAMRA's National Pub of the Year for 2015.It is in a grade II listed building.

Cotswold Grange Hotel in Cheltenham is a building of historical significance. It was built in about 1840 as a private residence and was home to many notable people over the next century. It is now a hotel which provides accommodation and restaurant services.

WTC, previously Westminster Theological Centre, is a British inter-denominational and charismatic theological college with its head offices in Cheltenham in England and learning centres throughout the United Kingdom. WTC delivers part-time courses in Kingdom theology at undergraduate and postgraduate levels which are validated by the University of Chester. Courses include the CertHE, BA(Hons), Graduate Diploma (also with vocational options in Student Ministry and Church Planting & Leadership) and MA. The courses are delivered through a blend of in-person teaching, web learning and video-conferencing making it possible for students to study university level theology around their everyday commitments. Locally, students study at local learning centres ("hubs") avoiding the isolation of traditional distance learning.

The Victoria Ground is a cricket ground in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1893, when Cheltenham played East Gloucestershire.Gloucestershire played their first first-class match there in 1923 against Glamorgan. Gloucestershire played 19 first-class matches at the ground from 1923 to 1937, playing their only game there in 1937 against Kent in the County Championship. In 1986, Gloucestershire returned to the ground where they played a single first-class match against the Indians during their tour of England.As well as hosting first-class cricket the ground has also hosted a single List-A match between the Gloucestershire Cricket Board and the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board in the 2000 NatWest Trophy.In 1982, the ground held a single international match between Israel and Papua New Guinea in the 1982 ICC Trophy. During the 1986 ICC Trophy, the ground held a further ICC Trophy match between Canada and the Netherlands.In local domestic cricket, the ground is the home venue of Cheltenham Cricket Club.

Trinity Cheltenham is an Evangelical, charismatic Anglican church in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. It was originally known as "Trinity" when it was first opened but later "Holy Trinity" before reverting to its original name. As well as being part of the Church of England, it is a major contributor to the New Wine network. The Church has around 1000 members, making it one of the largest churches in the UK. A recent article cited it as the 11th largest church in Britain.

The Cheltenham Masonic Hall built by Foundation Lodge is believed to be the second oldest purpose-built Masonic Lodge in England. Grand Lodge in London did not build a purpose-built lodge room until 1877. It is one of the few Temples in the country which has continuously been used as a Lodge room for considerably over 100 years. It is also the oldest public building, other than ecclesiastical, in Cheltenham still used for the purpose for which it was designed.

Sandford Parks Lido is a Grade II Listed heated outdoor swimming pool in Cheltenham, England. The lido consists of a 50-metre main pool (with reserved lanes), a children's pool, and paddling pool. The main pool is heated to 26 °C and children's pool to 30 °C. The lido is open from March until October each year. On 1 April 1996 a charitable trust, Sandford Lido Limited, took over operational control of Sandford Parks Lido signing a 25-year lease with Cheltenham Borough Council.

Pittville is a residential suburb of Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, founded in the early 19th century by Joseph Pitt. The population of Pittville Ward at the 2011 Census was 5,327. It contains Pittville Park, with its long gardens, two lakes, boat house, three cafes (including the boat house), tennis courts, menagerie, children's play area, 9-hole pitch and putt golf course, and one of Cheltenham's grandest and most celebrated buildings, the Pump Room. The upmarket tone of the area is set by the architecture: in addition to the Pump Room, Pittville contains some of the finest examples of Regency and Victorian housing in Cheltenham, including many of the town's largest houses. Schools in Pittville include Pittville School (the former Pate's Grammar School for Girls), and the private prep school Berkhampstead School. Gustav Holst's father, Adolph von Holst was organist at All Saints' Church, Pittville.
