Afon Dulas

Ffridd Gate was a station on the Corris Railway in Merioneth (now Gwynedd), Wales, UK. It was built at the level crossing over the B4404 road to Llanwrin, near the hamlet of Fridd. A small hamlet also grew up around the station and a nearby (pre-existent) toll-house. The hamlet and former station are near to the confluence of the Afon Dulas and the River Dyfi, around 2+1⁄4 miles (3.6 km) west of the village of Llanwrin and 1 mile (1.6 km) north of the town of Machynlleth.

Machynlleth Community Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Cymuned Bro Ddyfi) is a health facility in Heol Maengwyn, Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. It is managed by the Powys Teaching Health Board.

Owain Glyndŵr's Parliament House (Welsh: Senedd-dy Owain Glyndŵr) was traditionally the building where Owain Glyndŵr held a parliament after being crowned Prince of Wales in 1404. However the origin of the building is probably later. The existing building may be 15th century in origin, but has been extensively rebuilt, particularly by David Davies of Llandinam, who purchased it in 1906. It was opened on 20 February 1912 to provide a social centre for the town. The present rubble exterior is an interpretation of its 15th century appearance, probably by the architect Frank Shayler, who may also have designed the adjacent Glyndŵr Institute.

Machynlleth (pronounced [maˈχənɬɛθ] (listen)) is a market town, community and electoral ward in Powys, Wales and within the historic boundaries of Montgomeryshire. It is in the Dyfi Valley at the intersection of the A487 and the A489 roads. At the 2001 Census it had a population of 2,147, rising to 2,235 in 2011. It is sometimes referred to colloquially as Mach.Machynlleth was the seat of Owain Glyndŵr's Welsh Parliament in 1404, and as such claims to be the "ancient capital of Wales". However, it has never held any official recognition as a capital. It applied for city status in 2000 and 2002, but was unsuccessful. It is twinned with Belleville, Michigan. Machynlleth hosted the National Eisteddfod in 1937 and 1981.

The Tabernacle is a centre for the performing arts in Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. It is located in a former Wesleyan chapel, which was converted in the mid-1980s and opened in 1986. Since then the Museum of Modern Art has grown up alongside it, with six exhibition spaces. The Tabernacle' Auditorium seats 350 people and regularly hosts chamber and choral music, drama, lectures and conferences. It also has translation booths, a grand piano, recording facilities and a cinema screen. There is a bar in the foyer. There are music teaching rooms and an art studio in Ty Llyfnant. The Green Room doubles as a Language Laboratory where Lifelong learning classes are held. The Machynlleth Festival takes place in the Auditorium in late August every year. Since acquiring accreditation from the Museums, Archives and Libraries Division of the Welsh Government in 2016, the Trust owning the Tabernacle is now known as "MOMA Machynlleth".

The Dyfi Bridge (Welsh: Pont ar Ddyfi), also known as the Machynlleth Bridge, Dovey Bridge, Pont Dyfi or Pont ar Dyfi, is a road bridge carrying the A487 road across the River Dyfi north of Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. It is described as "one of the finest bridges in Montgomeryshire" by the Gwynedd Archaeological Trust.

The Royal House in Machynlleth is a 16th-century merchant’s house with extensive interior timber framing, clad in stone on the outside, with two massive chimney stacks. The building has been dated by dendrochronology, or tree-ring dating, giving felling dates for timbers within the house of 1559–1561, and for the rear store-house range of 1576. The building was acquired by the Machynlleth Tabernacle Trust and excavations and survey were undertaken by CPAT before restoration work was started in 2005. The restoration was supported by the Heritage Lottery funding.

Machynlleth railway station is on the Cambrian Line in mid-Wales, serving the town of Machynlleth. It was built by the Newtown and Machynlleth Railway (N&MR) and subsequently passed into the ownership of the Cambrian Railways, the Great Western Railway, Western Region of British Railways and London Midland Region of British Railways. It is notable in that there are 22 miles (35 km) separating this station and Caersws, the longest distance between two intermediate stations in Wales.

The River Dyfi (Welsh: Afon Dyfi; Welsh pronunciation: [ˈdəviː]), also known as the River Dovey (; DUH-vee), is an approximately 30-mile (48-kilometre) long river in Wales.Its large estuary forms the boundary between the counties of Gwynedd and Ceredigion, and its lower reaches have historically been considered the border between North Wales and South Wales.

Machynlleth Football Club (Welsh: Clwb Pêl Droed Machynlleth) is a Welsh football team based in Machynlleth, Powys, Wales. They played in the Ardal Leagues North East, which is in the third tier of the Welsh football league system but withdrew from the league in July 2022 citing lack of player commitment. For the 2022–23 season they will instead play in the Central Wales Southern Division.

Plas Machynlleth is the former Welsh residence of the Marquesses of Londonderry. It is situated in the market town of Machynlleth in Powys (formerly Montgomeryshire), Wales. It was brought into the family following the 1846 marriage of the then Viscount Seaham (who later became, in March 1854, Earl Vane, and in November 1872 the 5th Marquess of Londonderry) to Mary Cornelia Edwards, who inherited it on the death of her father, Sir John Edwards, in 1850. Sir John had extended and renamed the house. It is a Grade II* listed building and its gardens, now mainly a public park, are listed on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

Celtica was an educational guest centre located in Machynlleth, Wales. Formed in 1995, Celtica provided domestic and foreign tourists with information on Celtic life through detailed dioramas of a round-house village, the opening times were 10am - 6pm. After consistent low visitor turnout and failure to secure funding, Celtica closed in March 2006. The site was managed by Tecwyn V. Jones until 2000.
