Elm Tree Farm is a west Stockton area in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, northern England. Whitehouse Primary School is in the area. It is in the same ward as Bishopsgarth and is near Hardwick.

Ian Ramsey Church of England Academy (formerly Ian Ramsey Church of England School) is a mixed Church of England secondary school located in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham. It is named after Bishop Ian Ramsey, a former Bishop of Durham. The new Head of the School (as of April 2015) is Brian Janes the Executive Headteacher is Gill Booth, who came to support Ian Ramsey from Venerable Bede in Sunderland after it was put into special measures by Ofsted, which led to the resignation of the former Headteacher Janet Wilson in May 2014. The school is always oversubscribed. Ian Ramsey Church of England School converted to academy status on 1 December 2014 and was renamed Ian Ramsey Church of England Academy.

Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy (formerly Our Lady and St Bede RC School) is a coeducational secondary school located in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England.Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle, Our Lady and St Bede RC School converted to academy status in February 2015 and was renamed Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy. The school is still administered by the Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle but is now independent of council control. Since the school became independent of Stockton Local Authority the progress of pupils has risen significantly. In 2016 Our Lady and St Bede was the highest performing school in the North East of England using the government's new Progress 8 measure. Our Lady and St Bede Catholic Academy offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. Graduating students often go on to attend Stockton Riverside College or Stockton Sixth Form College.

Bishopsgarth is a west Stockton area in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. It is part of Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Ward, which had a population of 6,689 in the 2011 census. It is near Hardwick and Fairfield. The area has a shopping parade and the Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth.

Hartburn, also known as Hartburn Village, is a south west Stockton area in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. The area was originally called East Hartburn to differentiate it with West Hartburn near Middleton St George.

Stockton Town Football Club is an English football club based in Stockton-on-Tees, England. They are currently members of the Northern Premier League Division One East and play at Bishopton Road West, which has an overall capacity of 1,800, including 200 available seats. They are managed by former player Michael Dunwell, who retired from playing in 2014. The club are notable for reaching the Final of the FA Vase in the 2017–18 season, where they finished as runners-up, after being defeated 1–0 by champions Thatcham Town. Their previous success includes four consecutive Wearside Football League titles between 2012 and 2016, two consecutive Wearside League Cup titles between 2014 and 2016, two consecutive Monkwearmouth Charity Cup titles between 2014 and 2016, as well as winning the Shipowners Charity Cup in the 2014–15 season. Their club badge, which includes their motto, "Fortitudo et Spes" (Latin for "Strength and Hope"), is navy and yellow, representing their traditional colours. The historic club nickname, "the Anchors", is taken from the Stockton coat of arms, representing the town's shipbuilding history during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.

The University Hospital of North Tees is a general hospital in Stockton-on-Tees, England which provides healthcare to people living in the south east of County Durham. It is managed by the North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.

The Grangefield Ground is a multi-purpose sport grounds located in Grangefield, Stockton-on-Tees, England. It focuses on cricket and rugby union. It is the home of Stockton Cricket Club since 1892 and Stockton Rugby Football Club since 2015. The rugby club came after a 67-year stay at the Norton Sports Complex.

Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth (formerly Bishopsgarth School) is a comprehensive secondary school with academy status in the Bishopsgarth area of Stockton on Tees, England. It has a mixed intake of both boys and girls, ages 11–16, and had 537 pupils on roll in January 2017.The school is operated by Outwood Grange Academies Trust, and the current principal is Sheriden Hutchinson-Jones. Ralph Pickles is the current chair of governors.

Hardwick is a west Stockton-on-Tees area in the borough of Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, northern England. It is where North Tees Hospital is situated. The Hardwick ward had 6,881 population in the 2011 census.It is bordered by Harrowgate Lane to the north west, Roseworth to the east and Bishopsgarth and Elm Tree Farm the south. The University Hospital of North Tees (formerly North Tees General Hospital) is in the area. From 2003–2012, 200 houses in the area were demolished and replaced. There are a number of community based associations including Hardwick in Partnership which will run the community centre from 2014, Phoenix Youth Service and Hardwick Residents association.

Ropner Park is a free public park, located in Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, England. In June 1890 Major Robert Ropner offered a piece of land, known locally as Hartburn Fields to the people of Stockton which could be used as a public park, providing the local council would lay it out 'tastefully' and ‘keep it forever’. On 4 October 1893, Ropner Park was officially opened by the then Duke & Duchess of York. The ceremony involved the royals using an ornate key to open the Golden Gates.After a century of regular use by the people of Stockton, the park was refurbished and renovated to its former glory between 2004 and 2007 by Stockton Borough Council, thanks to a £2.65m grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. The Park is a roughly square site, with 20th-century railings along its road boundaries and is typically Victorian in style, with rockeries and floral displays. It has a tree-lined avenue which leads to an ornamental fountain and a pavilion with a veranda and also includes a new bandstand, based on the original design, a park ranger's office, bowling green, quoits green, tennis courts and a cafe, (run by the local charity, The Friends of Ropner Park). A large lake with islands dominates the lower part of the park and offers sanctuary to various species of water fowl and fish. Seasonal fairs and occasional organised events are staged at the park throughout the year and various bands feature most Sunday afternoons during the summer months.
