Dallas Christian College (DCC) is a private Christian college in Farmers Branch, Texas. It is affiliated with the Christian Church and accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education.

Farmers Branch, officially the City of Farmers Branch, is a city in Dallas County, Texas, United States. It is an inner-ring suburb of Dallas and is part of the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. Its population was 28,616 at the 2010 census.Known as a "City in a Park" for its 28 parks in only 12 square miles, Farmers Branch is a small community in close proximity to Dallas, and has a business community that accounts for 80% of the city's tax base, allowing residents to have one of the lower city tax rates in Dallas County, while having dedicated city services and public safety. The city received media attention due to 2006 anti-illegal immigration measures and a law making English the city's official language. These measures were struck down by courts and/or repealed. In 2017, the community elected the city's first millennial mayor, Robert C. Dye. Under the mayor and council's leadership, the city has prioritized creating a more ethnically diverse community focused on leadership in education, sustainability, innovative commercial development, and smart city design.

Royal Lane station is a DART Light Rail in Dallas, Texas. It is located in Northwest Dallas and serves the Green Line. The station opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010. It serves nearby attractions such as the Asian Trade District.

The Asian Trade District (ATD) is a neighborhood in Northwest Dallas, Texas (USA). The area is recognized as the city's Koreatown, and has been designated as a special district since 1999. Located at the crossroads of Harry Hines Boulevard and Royal Lane, the district has been home to numerous Asian-owned businesses, wholesale retailers, and restaurants since the 1980s. With the arrival of Royal Lane Station on the DART Green Line in 2010, the area has become increasingly connected to the metropolitan area. The ATD includes over 21 shopping centers with more than 300 retailers.Three people were wounded in a shooting outside a Koreatown beauty parlor in May 2022. A suspect was arrested a few days later, and the shooting was thought to have racial overtones.

Dallas College Brookhaven Campus (Brookhaven or BHC) is a public community college in Farmers Branch, Texas. It is one of seven campuses of Dallas College, and it opened in 1978, making it the newest campus in Dallas College (excluding satellite campuses). Serving northwest Dallas County, Dallas College Brookhaven Campus provides freshman- and sophomore-level academic credit courses, which may be applied toward an associate degree or transferred to a four-year college or university. The Core Curriculum is guaranteed to transfer to public universities in Texas. Career and technical education programs help prepare students for immediate entrance into the workforce. Along with traditional transfer class offerings, Brookhaven College's technical program offerings include accounting, automotive technology, business administration, child development, computer information systems, e-commerce, emergency medical services, geospatial technology, international business and trade, management, marketing, nursing, office technology, paramedicine, radiologic technology and visual communications. Continuing education classes offer personal or professional development in a variety of subjects including art, business, computers, health care careers, education, English for Speakers of Other Languages, music, nonprofit management, real estate and more. Corporate training also is available.

Early College High School (ECHS) is an early college senior high school on the grounds of Brookhaven College, in Farmers Branch, Texas, in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. As of 2019 Timothy A. Isaly is the principal.ECHS, the fifth CFBISD high school, opened in 2006. It takes in about 75-100 9th grade students on an annual basis.In 2014 it was named a National Blue Ribbon School.

The station initially opened as a bus-only park & ride facility in the 1990s. Light rail platforms opened as part of the Green Line's expansion in December 2010.

Vitruvian Park is a multi-family, retail and commercial development in Addison, Texas. The development is just west of the Dallas North Tollway, approximately one mile north of I-635/LBJ Freeway between Midway Road and Marsh Lane in Addison's southwest quadrant. Adjacent to the community are Brookhaven Country Club, Brookhaven College, Greenhill School, Parish Episcopal School, and a shopping center. In addition to being the largest development ever undertaken by major real estate developer UDR, Inc., the 117-acre (0.47 km2) development is also Addison's first major sustainable green initiative. The park draws its design from Roman architect Vitruvius' only surviving work, De Architectura. Savoye, the first phase was designed to feature 744 multifamily housing units, 26,000 square feet (2,400 m2) of retail and a 12-acre (49,000 m2) public park including a spring-fed creek, bridges and trails.In December 2012, the City of Addison debuted the Vitruvian Lights: Magical Nights of Lights, in which the park was decorated with 1.2 million light bulbs in nine different colors on more than 500 trees. It subsequently became an annual event. The park hosted its second "Vitruvian Lights" in 2013.

The 1984 Dallas nightclub shooting was a mass shooting that occurred on June 29, 1984, in Dallas, Texas. Abdelkrim Belachheb, a 39-year-old Moroccan national and resident alien, opened fire in Ianni's Restaurant and Club, a bar, killing six and severely injuring one. As under Texas law multiple murder by itself was not one of the aggravating factors required to make murder a capital crime, Belachheb could not be sentenced to death. The shooting resulted in a change in Texas law making multiple murder itself a capital crime, and Belachheb was instead sentenced to life in prison. The shooting also resulted in criticism of American immigration policy, as Belachheb was able to get a visa despite being a fugitive in both Belgium and Morocco. Shortly after the 30th anniversary of the shooting, The Dallas Morning News described it as "Dallas’ worst mass murder".

Parish Episcopal School is a co-educational day school located on two campuses in Dallas, Texas, US. The college preparatory school enrolls students in grades Pre-K-12.In 2015–2016 school year, 1,130 students were enrolled, making Parish the 3rd largest private school in Dallas County.

The Japanese School of Dallas (ダラス補習授業校 Darasu Hoshū Jugyō Kō) is a part-time Japanese educational program for Japanese citizens and Japanese Americans located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The school office in Dallas, and it conducts its classes at Ted Polk Middle School in Carrollton. As of 2015 Munetake Yamamura (山村 宗武 Yamamura Munetake) is the principal.
