Vale of Clwyd (UK Parliament constituency)

Waen is a sparsely populated community in the Vale of Clwyd, in the Welsh county of Denbighshire. It includes the hamlet of Waen Goleugoed. The former civil parish was created in 1896 from the Flintshire portion of St Asaph, and lies on the eastern bank of the River Clwyd, 2.7 miles (4.3 km) east of St Asaph, 15.4 miles (24.8 km) north west of Mold, 5.1 miles (8.2 km) north of Denbigh and 11.9 miles (19.2 km) north of Ruthin. At the 2001 census the community had a population of 245, falling slightly to 241 at the 2011 census. The North Wales Expressway (A55) crosses the community from east to west, on its route from Chester to Bangor. The farmhouse at Bodeugan, in the north of the community, dates from the 17th century, and is Grade II* listed. The Flintshire county archives at Hawarden contain a letter dated Christmas 1812, in which the then tenant, Robert Roberts, complained that the house was bewitched, recounting a series of poltergeist activity in which stones, coals, dung and water were thrown at the inhabitants, windows were broken and milk churns smashed. On Christmas Eve, the spirit was claimed to have thrown the servants out of their beds. Pont Dafydd, built in 1630 across the River Clwyd, but now standing in a field since the river was diverted, is an ancient monument and is Grade II listed.

Rhuallt is a village in Denbighshire, Wales. The village is situated approximately 5 mi (8.0 km) south of Prestatyn and 2 mi (3.2 km) east of St Asaph on the B5429 road, adjacent to the A55, and has a caravan site. There is one public house, The White House. Another public house, The Smithy Arms, closed permanently in or around 2014. Some elements of village life in Rhuallt were described in the BBC Domesday Project of 1986. Rhuallt is mostly in the community of Tremeirchion, with some outlying parts in Cwm, Denbighshire.

Llanerch Hall, Trefnant, Clwyd, Wales, is a country house with medieval origins. It was rebuilt twice at the beginning and at the end of the 17th century, was again rebuilt in the 19th century, and further modified in the 20th. The hall is now divided into flats, each with its own Grade II* listing. The parkland, now a golf course, conceals traces of a late 17th century Italianate terraced garden that rivalled those at Powis Castle. The gardens were entirely destroyed in the 19th century rebuilding. The house remains privately owned.

The Vale of Clwyd (Welsh: Dyffryn Clwyd) is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole.

St Beuno's Jesuit Spirituality Centre, known locally as St Beuno's College, is a spirituality and retreat centre in Tremeirchion, Denbighshire, Wales. It was built in 1847 by the Jesuits, as a theology college. During the 1870s the Victorian poet Gerard Manley Hopkins studied there. Since 1980, it has been a spirituality and retreat centre. Standing on the Clwydian Range, the front of the building faces west towards Snowdonia and overlooks the Vale of Clwyd. The building became a Grade II* listed building and a Welsh Historic Monument in 2002.

Mynydd y Cwm is a hill in the Clwydian Range in Denbighshire, North Wales. It reaches a height of 304.8 metres (1,000 feet). It has recently been promoted to Marilyn status having a prominence of 150 metres. At the summit there is a memorial to the crew of a Handley Page Halifax that crashed on the hill in 1947.

Cwm is a village and community in Denbighshire, below the hill Mynydd y Cwm. The church in Cwm is dedicated to two 6th-century saints, St Mael and St Sulien.Local councillors have given the go-ahead for a wind turbine to be erected on farmland near Cwm. The 50 kW turbine will be at Marian Mawr and it was voted through with a big majority by Denbighshire County Council.The community includes the Blue Lion Pub, the settlement of Marian Cwm, and part of Rhuallt.

H.M. Stanley Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty H.M. Stanley) was a community hospital in St Asaph, Wales. It was managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. It served as the headquarters of the Welsh Ambulance Service until 2019.

Llannerch railway station was a private railway station on the Vale of Clwyd Railway. It was located close to Llannerch Hall, the home of Whitehall Dod who was a director of the Vale of Clwyd Railway company. From the opening of the line in October 1858 Dod had the right to stop trains for his use at this location until December 1871 when Dod's privilege expired, the railway having been acquired by the London & North Western Railway in 1867.

St Asaph railway station served the city of St Asaph in Denbighshire, Wales. It was opened by the Vale of Clwyd Railway (later absorbed into the London and North Western Railway) on 5 October 1858 and closed on 19 September 1955. The station building and northbound platform are now a private residence.

Tremeirchion (previously known as Lleweni) is a small residential community in Denbighshire, Wales. It lies on the B5429 road, to the north east of Denbigh and to the east of St Asaph. The community includes the village of Rhuallt. The town was part of the traditional lands of the Salusbury family and the Cotton baronets. It was dominated by these two families until the early part of the 20th century. It briefly became well known during the fin de siècle after a series of dinosaur bones were found in the area.

Brynbella is a neoclassical villa built near the village of Tremeirchion in Denbighshire, northeast Wales, by Hester Piozzi and her husband, Gabriel Piozzi. It was the seat of the Salusbury family from 1794 until 1920. The name is part Welsh and part Italian, meaning "Beautiful Hill" (bryn + bella).
