Belgian Institute for Space Aeronomy

The Royal Observatory of Belgium (French: Observatoire Royal de Belgique, Dutch: Koninklijke Sterrenwacht van België), has been situated in the Uccle municipality of Brussels (Belgium) since 1890. It was first established in Saint-Josse-ten-Noode in 1826 by William I under the impulse of Adolphe Quetelet. It was home to a 100 cm (39 in) diameter aperture Zeiss reflector in the first half of the 20th century, one of the largest telescopes in the world at the time. It owns a variety of other astronomical instruments, such as astrographs, as well as a range of seismograph equipment (for detecting earthquakes). Its main activities are: Reference systems and geodynamics; Astrometry and dynamics of celestial bodies; Astrophysics; Solar physics.The asteroid 1276 Ucclia is named in honour of the city and the observatory and 16908 Groeselenberg is named for the hill the observatory is located on.

The Embassy of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium (French: Ambassade des Ukraine en Bruxelles; Dutch: Ambassade van de Oekraïne in Brussel) is the diplomatic mission of Ukraine to the Kingdom of Belgium; it is based in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium.

Saint-Job railway station is a railway station in the municipality of Uccle in Brussels, Belgium. The station operated by SNCB/NMBS is located on line 26 between the stations of Boondael and Moensberg. The station is named after the nearby Place de Saint-Job.

Bloemenwerf is the name of the residence house of Belgian painter, architect and interior designer Henry van de Velde, built in 1895. It is located in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium. Velde designed the house and its interior as well as the furnishings. It was inspired in part by William Morris' Red House.Van de Velde gave everything in the house, from the door furnishings to the wallpaper, the same patterns of embellishments and flowing linear shapes.

The Museum David and Alice Van Buuren (French: Musée Alice et David Van Buuren, Dutch: Museum David en Alice Van Buuren) is a private house, now a museum, built from 1924 to 1928 for banker and art collector David Van Buuren and his wife Alice in Uccle, a municipality of Brussels, Belgium. The house was decorated by David and Alice as a total work of art to present their art collection in a rich Art Deco interior. The house is surrounded by gardens designed by Jules Buyssens in 1925 and René Pechère in 1968 and 1970. The private house became a museum in 1975 according to the testament of Alice Van Buuren. It was declared a National Heritage Site in 2001.

The Lycée Français Jean Monnet de Bruxelles (literally, the "Jean Monnet French High School of Brussels"), or LFB, is a school located in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium. A member of the Agency for French Education Abroad (French: Agence pour l'enseignement français à l'étranger), the LFB follows the French study curriculum and has students from nursery school up to the French baccalauréat. As of 2020, the school hosted about 2719 students.

The European School, Brussels I (ESB1) is a European School located in Uccle, Brussels, Belgium (Uccle site), and Forest, Brussels, Belgium (Berkendael site). Originally the second of the European Schools to be founded, the European School, Brussels I, is today one of four in Brussels, and thirteen such schools across the European Union (EU). It is an all-through school, which exists primarily to provide an education to children of EU staff and officials based in Brussels leading to the European Baccalaureate as their secondary leaving qualification. Its alumni include the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Boris Johnson.

Bogaerts International School is an internationally minded, family-oriented K-12 school located in Uccle. This area is classed as semi-urban, and has a natural green area. The school is located at the doorstep of Brussels, but the campus itself is a wooded area. The school offers an education to both local Belgian families and families from the world over. Stemming from Bogaerts Education, founded in 1970 by Yann Bogaerts, B.I.S. is the only IB Continuum World School in Brussels, offering a continuum of three programmes of education: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).

The Stade du Vivier d'Oie (Dutch: De Ganzenvijver, English translation: Goose Pond Stadium) is a stadium in the Belgian community of Uccle in the Brussels Capital Region. The stadium lies in the quarter Vivier d'Oie (Dutch: Diesdelle) at the margin of the Soignies Forest. In the first half of the 20th century the football club Racing Club de Bruxelles played here.

Saint-Gilles (French, pronounced [sɛ̃ ʒil] (listen)) or Sint-Gillis (Dutch, pronounced [sɪntˈxɪlɪs] (listen)) is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. Located in the southern part of the region, it is bordered by the City of Brussels, Anderlecht, Forest and Ixelles. In common with all of Brussels' municipalities, it is legally bilingual (French–Dutch). Saint-Gilles has a multicultural identity stemming from its diverse population. The housing stock varies from semi-derelict tenements near Brussels-South railway station in the north, to elegant bourgeois houses on the southern borders with Uccle and Ixelles, to tourist hotels at the inner end of the Chaussée de Charleroi/Charleroisesteenweg.
