Thomas Condon: Portrait of Condon, also known as Thomas Condon Medallion, is a hammered copped sheet sculpture depicting Thomas Condon by Wayne Chabre, installed on the exterior of the University of Oregon's Geology Building, in Eugene, Oregon, United States. The portrait, created in 1989, measures approximately 4 feet (1.2 m), 10 inches (25 cm) x 4 feet (1.2 m), 10 inches (25 cm) x 2 feet (0.61 m) and cost $3,139. It was surveyed by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1993.

The Pioneer is a thirteen-foot-tall bronze sculpture formerly located on the University of Oregon campus in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was the artistic work of Alexander Phimister Proctor, commissioned by Joseph Nathan Teal, a Portland attorney. A ceremony celebrated its unveiling on May 22, 1919. It included attendance from persons all across the state, the majority of enrolled students, and a special section of the crowd was reserved for the remaining settlers. T. G. Hendricks and his granddaughter removed the canvas cover, unveiling the statue. As of June 13, 2020, the statue is no longer standing on the University of Oregon campus.

University and Villard Halls, University of Oregon are historic academic buildings on the campus the University of Oregon in Eugene, Oregon. Built in 1876 and 1886 respectively, they are among the oldest surviving academic buildings on the west coast of the United States, and are noted for their Second Empire architecture. They were designated a National Historic Landmarks as a pair in 1977.Both buildings were extensively altered in the 20th century, with University Hall's interior entirely gutted in 1914. The exteriors, in particular wooden trim elements, suffered due to Oregon's coastal climate. They were both given historically sensitive restoration in the mid-1990s, a process in which students were given the opportunity to participate through classes organized for the purpose.

Villard Hall is a historic building located in Eugene, Oregon, United States. Completed in 1886, it is the second-oldest building on the University of Oregon campus after University Hall. The Second Empire-style building was listed on National Register of Historic Places in 1972. University Hall and Villard Hall were together designated as one U.S. National Historic Landmark in 1977.Villard Hall was named for Henry Villard, a railroad magnate and philanthropist who was the University of Oregon's first benefactor. He provided financial aid to the university in 1886. Before its naming, Villard Hall was known as "the new building." In 1949 a new 400 seat theater was built as an addition onto Villard Hall. Throughout the late 1950, 1960s and 1970, the studios and transmitter of KWAX were on the third floor. Also on the third floor were studios for KOAC TV, which connected to KOAC in Corvallis via a microwave link, housed in an "outhouse" on the northeast corner of the roof. The building now houses the university's comparative literature and theater arts departments, as well as the Robinson Theater.

University Hall, formerly Deady Hall, is a historic building located in Eugene, Oregon, United States. It was built from 1873 to 1876 by W. H. Abrams to a design by architect William W. Piper. It was the University of Oregon's first building, and remained the university's only building for almost ten years after its construction. After the university gained other buildings, it was known simply as the "Old Building", but in 1893 it was renamed "Deady Hall" in honor of Matthew Deady, Oregon's first federal judge. Ironically, Deady believed that state universities were of little use to anybody, and in 1857, during the Oregon Constitutional Convention, Deady moved to strike the section authorizing a university from the Oregon State Constitution. His efforts were initially successful, although by the 1870s a state university had become inevitable, and the building that bears his name was constructed in spite of Deady's earlier objections. In another twist of fate, Deady was first president of the university's Board of Regents.University Hall is variously described as simplified Italianate with Second Empire details or simply as Second Empire (though not as elaborate an example as Villard Hall). This building was listed on National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It and nearby Villard Hall were together designated as one National Historic Landmark in 1977.At the Oregon Constitutional Convention in 1857, Matthew Deady had advocated for discrimination towards African-Americans, who were not allowed to settle in the new state. Because of these views, Deady Hall became a target of an effort to remove his name from the building. On June 10, 2020, UO President Michael Schill sent a letter to the Board of Trustees recommending renaming Deady Hall because of Deady's racist views. On June 24, 2020, the University of Oregon's Board of Trustees announced that the name "Deady" would be removed as the name of the hall until a date when a new name can be chosen. In the interim, the hall will be named "University Hall."

Maxwell & Demon Gargoyle is an outdoor 1989 sculpture by Wayne Chabre, installed in Eugene, Oregon, in the United States. It is a low-relief portrait depicting Scottish physicist James Clerk Maxwell and his "demon", attached to the exterior of Willamette Hall on the University of Oregon campus. The hammered copper sheet sculpture measures approximately 3.15 feet (0.96 m) x 2.5 feet (0.76 m) x 1.5 feet (0.46 m). Its condition was undetermined when the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program surveyed the work in 1994.

Isaac Newton Gargoyle is an outdoor 1988–1989 hammered copper sheet relief depicting Isaac Newton by Wayne Chabre, installed on the exterior of Willamette Hall on the University of Oregon campus, in Eugene, Oregon. The sculpture is part of the collection of the Oregon Arts Commission, and administered by the University of Oregon. It was surveyed by the Smithsonian Institution's "Save Outdoor Sculpture!" program in 1994.The piece is one of a series by Chabre at the Eugene campus that includes scientists and mathematicians Albert Einstein (Einstein Gargoyle, 1986), Marie Curie (Marie Curie Gargoyle, 1989), James Clerk Maxwell (Maxwell & Demon Gargoyle, 1989), Alan Turing (Alan Turing, 1988), John von Neumann (John von Neumann, 1987), and Thomas Condon; a fruit fly (Drosophila Fly Head, 1988); and a school of zebrafish.
