Virey-le-Grand

Fragnes (French pronunciation: [fʁaɲ]) is a former commune in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. On 1 January 2016, it was merged into the new commune of Fragnes-La Loyère.

Champforgeuil (French pronunciation: [ʃɑ̃fɔʁʒœj]) is a commune in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. It is a northern suburb of Chalon-sur-Saône.

The Beaune coach crash occurred on 31 July 1982 on the French A6 motorway near Beaune, in the Côte-d’Or département of east-central France. It is the second deadliest road traffic collision in France's history after the 2016 Nice truck attack. 53 people died, including 46 children (44 on the coach and 2 in a car). Most of the victims were on board a coach that caught fire as a result of the collision. The coach passengers were from Crépy-en-Valois in the Oise département of Picardy, northern France.

Châtenoy-le-Royal (French pronunciation: [ʃatnwa lə ʁwajal]) is a commune in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. It is a western suburb of Chalon-sur-Saône.
